Great review! Eric Rutan is a death metal master and he brings such a cool Hate Eternal vibe to the riffing while still maintaining the Cannibal Corpse sound we all love. Just a comment on the last part of the review "how can you love a band putting the same album over and over again?" I agree with you on the response. Cannibal Corpse has NEVER been a band that needs any change. Their sound is freaking awesome the way that it is. If the style is awesome and they love to do it over and over (obviously), why the f-ck not? This is what they're best at and they still deliver over 3 decades later. I'm so hyped for this album.
I got a Cannibal Corpse shirt a couple of days ago. I can’t wait to give this new album a listen, Cannibal Corpse are one of the best death metal bands and are always consistently great with each album. I have a feeling Chaos Horrific will be no different.
Frenzied Feeding is without a doubt one of my favorites from this awesome album. It seems like anything Erik Rutan will do with is band in the future is gonna be some of the most skull-crushing shit I've ever heard in death metal 😈
My Blood and Rust vinyl variant just arrived! It was thanks to this channel and your Violence Unimagined review that really helped me get in to this band. CC rule!
I love this album, and agree with you on the consistency of CC throughout their career. I think Obituary enter in that category, delivering pretty solid records everytime without changing much of their sound.
I think cannibal corpse still somewhat brings something new to the table with every album like for example violence unimagined was a little bit more of a faster just a standard cannibal corpse album with catchy death metal riffs but chaos horrific was more sludge tune down guitar riffs that where slowly and more headbangy. If that’s a fucking word but both albums I just said are somewhat still different there not completely the same they both do something different but keep the same old cannibal corpse style
I can’t fucking wait to see their tour with Mayhem, Gorguts and Blood Incantation. Never seen any of those bands and couldn’t be more stoked they’re coming to my neck of the woods
I've seen Cannibal Corpse and Gorguts a few times and they're great live. I imagine Mayhem and Blood Incantation will sound great too, should be a fun night.
I wonder how this album and Violence Unimagined would've sounded like is Pat were still in the band? Or if the guitarists were Pat and Erik Rutan. Just a few" What If" scenarios.
I generally prefer the flavours of Swedish Death Metal more than their American counterparts, but I'll always have a special, brutal place in my heard for Cannibal Corpse. I adored Violence Unimagined, and I hope one day soon that I'll be skilled enough on bass to learn Hammer Smashed Face. I'm looking forward to this album!
I think Drain You Empty might be one of my new favorite Cannibal Corpse songs. Perfect reminder that CC are more than just that silly violent death metal band: they really are fucking artists.
Can't wait to hear this... just like the last Cannibal album! Thank god we have Cannibal Corpse to remind us of what death metal sounds like in its most basic--and most invigorating--form! Can't wait to see how young death metal fans just starting to get their feet wet with the genre will react to this album.
How Cannibal Corpse is able to be so consistent and so great this late in their career, this is definitely on the same level for me as the last. This album felt more groovier and heavier than violence Unimagined. Corpsegrinder still sounds like a blood thirsty monster, thought it was absolutely great. 4/5
Sounds like a very tasty greasy cheese burger. 🍔 Can't wait to hear it in full. It's just boring now that people hate on you for hving an opinion. Opinions are like ar**holes, everyone has one. We all hve different tastes.
The burger analogy is funny, because I normally describe cannibal corpse albums as chicken wings. Its all the same type of food, but the guys in the kitchen can flavour it as you wish.
I mean it's a Corpse album, but it's nothing special. Let's be honest here there just isn't anything surprising or new which I guess isn't a bad thing, but it's new and shiny.
Say whatever you want, but CC is the greatest death metal band of all time. The consistency they have is absolutely insane, can you just imaging releasing a banger after a banger for 35 fucking years? Mindblowing. But I also strongly disagree with the idea that it's all the same album. Eaten Back to Life is thrashy and raw. Butchered at Birth and Tomb of the Mutilated are classics of brutal death. Bleeding has a lot of hooks and melodies that they implemented for the first time. Vile was groovy while staying very fast and feroucious. Torture is almost tech death. Same as The Wretched Spawn. And so on and so forth. Nevertheless, awesome video my man!
Are you kidding? No album has been the same. Yeah, they put out consistency but beyond that none the same. Even though this new one isn't quite my fav I'll say that it's unique. Heavy, not as fast as I'd like but it's different than the rest.
This album does not disappoint i love drain you empty especially, sick review. Going to see them this weekend. Also, idk if you listen to punk music but do you have any thoughts on the new blink-182 singles?
I don’t like this album that much. The title track and fracture and refrature are good. But overall I didn’t love the experience too much. Still love the hell out of these guys and still hold them as one of my favorite bands. This is the only album I didn’t care for, which is impressive considering they have 16 albums. Love them!
Cannibal corpse has what I call the metallica syndrome. If you did know it was cannibal corpse you wouldn't give the album such a high rating I think k this album was super monotonous and even sloppy at parts like some of the endings of songs every body just sort of stops playing at different times like they didn't know the song was ending and someone had to tell them
Whats up, 30 year Cannibal Fan here... another 5/10 album at best. Anyone know the writing credits for this one? Rutan have any songs?... besides a couple tracks on the back end, this one (like their last 3) is dull af... Did AI to write this one? "Listen to Red/Black and produce another album please"... Alex/Paul, man... go back listen to Kill or something. Rekindle the fire.
I understand the impact that these guys have had on the genre (in fact, I used to be a huge fan of these guys), but I think it's time to hang it up. Paul M's drumming has become laughably bad at this point, and it's sad to see such a pioneer still try to squeeze out what little he has left. The drumming sounds awful on this album, and you can almost feel the pain Paul is in, as you listen. It honestly takes away from the tracks, which themselves aren't that memorable. This is a weak one. Cryptopsy and Dying Fetus produced better efforts, and I wasn't even in love with those either, but at least those guys still have the full units playing at top level.
Cmon man the album was good, but its lots of times more forgettable than Violence Unimagined, there is absolutely no chance, as you said they keep delivering, but their fuel is starting to run off by this point... Just by the fact that the blast beats start at the 8th song!! Cannibal was better than this.. they should have kept working more intensely on it and release it next year early or something like that, half of the album is solid and half of it feels generic.
Once you hear a Cannibal Corpse album, you've kinda heard them all. But while there are some singular bangers I can return to like the titular track on here, the overall sound groove practically does feel samey almost every album, as I listen to this new record... am like, it's brutal and savage. That's all you really need to know about Cannibal Corpse! Some unique riffs and rips but nothing incredible that will make me wanna go back... gnarly slams & swirly licks best describe this new record but... I'd prefer to go back to Violence Unimagined, RBB or A Skeletal Domain. Hopefully with more listens this will change my mind, big fan here but this feels very similar to what we've already listened to before.
Really hyped for this album. Another band who's incredibly consistent is definitely Vomitory.
Vomitory is fine but they've honestly never done too much for me.
Vomitory slaps
I'm just glad that so many years in their career, CC are still delivering pretty solid death metal albums. New one seems very promising too
Saw them live this last weekend with mayhem, gorguts, and blood incantation. Corpsegrinder is the headbanging goat.
its that neck bro, it has some sort of magical properties to only produce absolute bangers
Great review! Eric Rutan is a death metal master and he brings such a cool Hate Eternal vibe to the riffing while still maintaining the Cannibal Corpse sound we all love.

The Bleeding will probably always be my favourite but yes, they never made a truly bad album. I will be giving this a spin as soon as possible.
The Bleeding is definetely a Masterpiece.
Nah their last two albums blow
My Blood and Rust vinyl variant just arrived! It was thanks to this channel and your Violence Unimagined review that really helped me get in to this band. CC rule!
Damn really? Kind of you to say bud, cheers.
I miss Hate Eternal 😢
“Good morning “!!!! 😉
Been waiting for your review 🤘
I love this album, and agree with you on the consistency of CC throughout their career. I think Obituary enter in that category, delivering pretty solid records everytime without changing much of their sound.
Bloodthirst, Kill and Torture are prime CC, these guys still have a lot left in the tank. Excited for 9pm PT to blast this thing 🎉
Those 3 are my favorites too! This new album is fucking good man!
Another solid record, not surprising considering its CC doing what they do best. Fucking love this band. \m/ Great review, keep it up!
Great album man.
After listening to this about half a dozen times today I gotta say this has to be my favorite Cannibal corpse album ever. Banger after banger.
OMG Slim Shady has a youtube channel!!!
This album is fkn sick!!! Consistently awesome
Just listened to the full album -- it's a banger. Suffocation's new one should be good -- comes out Nov 3, I see. Cheers.
I think cannibal corpse still somewhat brings something new to the table with every album like for example violence unimagined was a little bit more of a faster just a standard cannibal corpse album with catchy death metal riffs but chaos horrific was more sludge tune down guitar riffs that where slowly and more headbangy. Gonna buy my vinyl copy when the salary comes. 🤘Hail from Sweden 🤘 🤘 🤘
Skeletal Domain was perfect. I agree, Bleeding is my favorite CC album followed by Skeletal Domain.
I think the new album sounds banger.
Cannibal Corpse 🤝 Meshuggah
If it ain't broke, don't fix it
I can’t fucking wait to see their tour with Mayhem, Gorguts and Blood Incantation. Never seen any of those bands and couldn’t be more stoked they’re coming to my neck of the woods

Sick, going to see them with Mayhem next week!
Cannibal Corpse on Tour with Mayhem?
Great review Slim Shady of metal 🤘
Fun fact: all the other slim shadys are just imitating.
@@themetalmeltdownofficial hahahaha you crack me a laugh! :D
new TMM drinking game, take a shot every time Robert makes a food reference
Nobody will survive
gonna go see CC in a week, I’m pumped for this fucking album!
That cheeseburger analogy is so fkn precise.

The album kicks ass. Cannibal Corpse kicks ass. Overkill kicks ass too. I dig almost all their albums.
Brutal honesty. I ❤ it. And I ❤ Cannibal Corpse. Have an awesome day.
Bacon Jam, Pepperjack Cheese and sweet peppers on this Corpse burger. Great album. 8/10
The hype is reeeaaal!!! Looking much forward to hearing this album!
I think Drain You Empty might be one of my new favorite Cannibal Corpse songs. Perfect reminder that CC are more than just that silly violent death metal band: they really are fucking artists.

Bro I love the Carcass shirt 🤘😎🤘
A Skeletal Domain?! Hell yeah! I member when that album got so much shit cause the production was too clean

@metalhead6526 or….. they just like it
@metalhead6526 or maybe the band knows what they're doing? and people like it? Like take a chill pill bud, learn how to have fun.
Any chance of reviewing the new gridline record? They definitely deserve recognition!
When you got Rutan involved, everything is going to be more brutal.
Sounds like a very tasty greasy cheese burger. 🍔 Can't wait to hear it in full. It's just boring now that people hate on you for hving an opinion. Opinions are like ar**holes, everyone has one. We all hve different tastes.
Its all good, let em get mad. Just puts more money in my pocket 😎
@@themetalmeltdownofficialNew Brujeria review soon?
@@SuperRoo_22 probably not, off to the ALBUMS I MISSED dimension with that one
The AC/DC of death metal
The burger analogy is funny, because I normally describe cannibal corpse albums as chicken wings. Its all the same type of food, but the guys in the kitchen can flavour it as you wish.
It is consistently a great idea to let Cannibal Corpse cook, no matter what the dish in question is.
The AC/DC of Death Metal.
Yes, in a way, but AC/DC got boring eventually whereas Cannibal Corpse still rules. Classic AC/DC does still go hard though.
🤘🏼
I mean it's a Corpse album, but it's nothing special. Let's be honest here there just isn't anything surprising or new which I guess isn't a bad thing, but it's new and shiny.
The truth is that I liked the album more than I expected, however it is undeniable that it feels like a continuation of Violence Unimagined.
Say whatever you want, but CC is the greatest death metal band of all time. The consistency they have is absolutely insane, can you just imaging releasing a banger after a banger for 35 fucking years? Mindblowing.

I don't care much for Blink 182 at all, so no comment
What a fucking stupid question 😂😂😂🤦♂️ seriously?

Still love the hell out of these guys and still hold them as one of my favorite bands. This is the only album I didn’t care for, which is impressive considering they have 16 albums. Love them!
No disrespect to Pat O’Brien, Jack Owen or Bob Rusay…. Rob Barrett and Erik Rutan are the best guitar players that band has ever had.
Take that Chris Barnes!
You are talking like a child, he don't care, nobody care, just you and some other stupid kid
Another album? What?! Man these guys do not play.
Cannibal corpse has what I call the metallica syndrome. If you did know it was cannibal corpse you wouldn't give the album such a high rating
I think k this album was super monotonous and even sloppy at parts like some of the endings of songs every body just sort of stops playing at different times like they didn't know the song was ending and someone had to tell them

I love cannibal corpse but they are putting out the same crap about 15 years now... 😂😂😂
most predictable score ive ever seen, but i cant say it isnt well deserved.
This album is very mediocre at best…and the artwork is literally stupid and terrible .We all love CC, but they can do alot better …let us be honest
