No idea why but I laughed my ass off at the Times New Roman vocals sheet and Fisher with his glasses on nodding back and forth like a bored professor while reading it. 6:06
My huge takeaways are the ones I’ve always known but this is video evidence of. 1 Alex Webster is a bass god who is such a prolific song writer and virtuoso musician. 2 cannibal corpse has an incredibly intelligent and straightforward approach to writing music which is allowing members to write their own songs and then record a rough demo of what they want to to sound like and letting the other members learn it and then improve upon it. 3 that cannibal corpse shows that real collaboration happens when the band members put their egos aside and approach the music like a business and a job. That you can’t get overly emotional about it and have to approach it like a good working relationship. It’s been the key to their success.
Everything you need to know about this video 0:29 Metal face 2:28 The only time you will EVER see Pat in a white shirt 4:03 I take it back... 4:12 Pat "I cant help that I'm a God...I just do it" 4:26 I don't know what to think anymore...3 white shirts... 4:34 Pat just trying to piss me off in another white shirt 4:58 I'm getting frustrated now 5:38 agh! 6:00 Now Robs picking up on the whole white shirt thing..white may become metal now 6:30 George trying to make sense 6:48 Pat is smiling......somewhere.. some place... 1000 kittens simultaneously exploded...or maybe its just because he's in a white shirt again
I've always been a fan of Cannibal, but didn't really understand how complicated and technical the music was until the advent of the internet. (Yes, I'm super old). Never been able to get close enough to the stage & when I did, it was pit time, so watching for virtuosity wasn't possible. People don't like the music, but it's as or more intense to perform than any other genre...save Chopin (piano).
That's what people never get! Death metal is so overlooked because of the initial perception. Death metal, jazz, and classical are the top of the heap in terms of musicianship IMHO.
I don't judge a piece of music's quality on how hard it is to play. To me that's angry teenage bullshit thinking, although when the song is good and the playing is proficient it is very nice.
He helped mould Cannibal’s sound into something melodically progressive and innovative. It first started popping up on Vile, and then Gallery and Bloodbthirst it *really* started to become prominent. Now we have a beautifully aged Cannibal Corpse who have found a pleasant middle ground between dissonant thrash/death and interesting progressive melody usage.
I love how they describe scalding hail and use adjectives like fast, furious, high-speed, and brutal. That describes every song they've ever done! One of my favorite bands of a time
Cannibal Corpse is basically Alew Webster, the day he leaves the band will be in a serious trouble. He writes everything song and lyrics, Corpsegrinder doesn't even help him he said in a album he wrote like 2 lines lol
I don't exactly understand this kind of music, I don't exactly understand how to write this kind of music, but I am widely interested in watching this band in the studio and how they create. I love the vibe I love the intensity I don't think I could play it I don't have the chops this band is really effing cool
same way i write too! its so cool he uses the same method. i just wish the rest of my bandmates learned them-____-. i really gotta get a good drum machine and then i would be set.
lol, this reminds me of the Rockstar Mayhem tour that they did last sunday on the 12th, George Corpsegrinder told the audience, "You better buy the new album or else I'll come down there and kill you with my bare f!@#$ing hands!" even though I can barely understand a word that's being said by Cannibal Corpse, I still find the speedy heavy music very heartpounding!
it's cool that they still change their own strings....I mean let's face it, they're basically the backstreet boys of grind...yeah yeah I know that statement is gonna piss some smelly death metal purist off, but read it to mean they're pretty much the most popular...and rightfully so
It depends on their share of profit from album sales & merchandise & of course live performances. But, yeah it does sound fucking better than like working at Wal Mart or whatever! We should all start bands! I know I have lol...
@runeblade806 some are easier than others tho. like pit of zombies and sentenced to burn are pretty easy. in terms of bass, which is what I play. festering in the crypt is pretty easy too. even songs on this album like evisceration plague and unnatural arent too difficult.
Can anyone suggest me a CC album that sounds similar to this? I love priests of sodom, to decompose, evidence in the furnace and cauldron of hate the most. the old stuff is cool but i think this album is above the old one i checked (tomb of the mutilated, even though hammer smashed face is their best song ever)
fave songs (no particular order 1. shatter their bones 2. carrion sculpted entity 3. priests of sodom 4. to decompose 5. scalding hail Cannibal Corpse Fuckin rules!!!
do you think smoke weed i bet they just relax after practice and smoke a bowl or a fat joint man i could see pat smokin and chillin back just jammin the guitar
I wonder if alex uses guitar pro?
I bet he does
Rob Scallon you have one million subscribers and have hilarious comments on a bunch of these Cannibal Corpse videos that no one seems to notice.
Aint he the best?
Rob Scallon oh hi mark
ah!!!
Hi rob scallop
Unsung song of every bassist ever. Often the most talented but least heard.
Awesome. The guys get ready for the creation of the plague. Time for Part 2. Hail Cannibal Corpse.
I'd like to hear the b sides of the vocals where other dudes lay down the feel.
cannibal corpse 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘👊👊😲😲😲....
anyone knows what song are playing in 0:27???
Alex Webster & Co.
No idea why but I laughed my ass off at the Times New Roman vocals sheet and Fisher with his glasses on nodding back and forth like a bored professor while reading it. 6:06
with lyrics like "ill rape your entrails and disgorge my gastric acid into your oesophagus" 😂 brilliant
lol George rules this planet.
LMAO
"Alex wrote that, Alex wrote that, Alex wrote that, Alex wrote that."

2:28 The only time you will EVER see Pat in a white shirt
4:03 I take it back...
4:12 Pat "I cant help that I'm a God...I just do it"
4:26 I don't know what to think anymore...3 white shirts...
4:34 Pat just trying to piss me off in another white shirt
4:58 I'm getting frustrated now
5:38 agh!
6:00 Now Robs picking up on the whole white shirt thing..white may become metal now
6:30 George trying to make sense
6:48 Pat is smiling......somewhere.. some place... 1000 kittens simultaneously exploded...or maybe its just because he's in a white shirt again

Still more intense than that too
That's what people never get! Death metal is so overlooked because of the initial perception. Death metal, jazz, and classical are the top of the heap in terms of musicianship IMHO.
David Garcia dude I've seen good Chopin recitals, they're pretty fucking intense
I don't judge a piece of music's quality on how hard it is to play. To me that's angry teenage bullshit thinking, although when the song is good and the playing is proficient it is very nice.
If you see them live or watch their left hands (all guitars) you’ll get an idea how technical they are.
In essence Alex did the whole album
No, he definitely did a lot of it though.
The whole discography
He is definitely the main writer for CC, lyrically and instrumentally since Chris left.
And it's one of their best
Bro fr, even drums.
Alex is a Savage songwriter. One of the best in the game
I love Alex so much.
pat is a beast
5:56 rob's vocals are pretty good
He used to sing for his band Solstice, he's got a killer voice!
He's a super nice guy! Got to hang out with him during a MONSTROSITY show.
I feel sad for pat :(
I know. He and Alex most important and talented members
@Staircase Heaven because he had a mental breakdown and his house burnt down and he had no house insurance. Everything is gone.
JerkFace FuckasaurusRex that’s sad
Alex reminds me of Dave Mustaine for some reason...
Chris Ramos could it be the red hair? Lol
Alex is blonde, well salt n peper now, and he is waaaaay more down to earth than a fraction of Mustaine!
Rob just can't put the Les Paul's down
Les pauls are awesome
+Evil12Killer not when all you ever liked is dean
+Josh Death metal fiend He has been playing Les Pauls his whole career. Dean only the last few records
+Ed Braciszewski I know Dean is better
Josh Death metal fiend I'd take that silverburst les paul over any Dean
I love how they describe scalding hail and use adjectives like fast, furious, high-speed, and brutal. That describes every song they've ever done! One of my favorite bands of a time
Pat I don't mean to be the best most badass guitar player ever I just do it
damn, george has the simplest job in the band, just taking care of his voice
Cannibal Corpse is basically Alew Webster, the day he leaves the band will be in a serious trouble. He writes everything song and lyrics, Corpsegrinder doesn't even help him he said in a album he wrote like 2 lines lol
Hah, that Metalmania 2002 poster. I've been there! :)
I don't exactly understand this kind of music, I don't exactly understand how to write this kind of music, but I am widely interested in watching this band in the studio and how they create. I love the vibe I love the intensity I don't think I could play it I don't have the chops this band is really effing cool
1:27 just admit it, it's a Webster solo album.
Honestly though, that would be awesome.
i love how george, while being such a brutal singer,
was sitten there reading lyrics like a scholar.
CC is my favorite band ever.
Alex is so nice and chill for a dude who wrote that entire track list lol
WoW shirt. Typical George. ;D This is pretty neat. Alex is a damn good composer.
George with his reading glasses is just adorable !
I remember getting this album when it first came out and watching the dvd that came with it religiously.
priests of sodom, hahahah u gotta love CC, no matter who u are. they remind me of high school days.
i could imagine him saying "oh dude, that is NOT the preferred nomenclature"
Has it been 8 years already? Damn, what the hell happen to the time?
It went forward. That's what.
Pat rocking a Black Flag 'Family Man' tee! That's what's up
same way i write too! its so cool he uses the same method. i just wish the rest of my bandmates learned them-____-. i really gotta get a good drum machine and then i would be set.
alex webster = bass GOD!
Alex webster is a genius, how he comes up with stuff like Skewered and Priests is insane
Wow Alex is awesome!
THE MENTORS 1:50
lol, this reminds me of the Rockstar Mayhem tour that they did last sunday on the 12th, George Corpsegrinder told the audience, "You better buy the new album or else I'll come down there and kill you with my bare f!@#$ing hands!" even though I can barely understand a word that's being said by Cannibal Corpse, I still find the speedy heavy music very heartpounding!
2:50 yeah, that other blast beat.
EVISCERATION PLAGUE written by alex webster?, he is my hero now, that song is one of the coolest songs ever.
Inhalation plague is also awesum ( cannibas corpse)
badass video alex is a genius!
3:04 best bass playing face ever xD
So corpsegrinder doesn't do shit
I cant be the only person who thinks Rob Barrett sounds like John Goodman
Webster is a fucking beast
fuckin' genius artists.
"I was trying to keep things more simplistic" and yet it looks solid to play to me.
Corpsegrinder in glasses it too much lol
These guys are just the best. Down-to-earth, funny, honest, fucking talented.
Alex Webster can do no wrong
theres something magical about Corpsegrinder just sitting there with his reading glasses, lookin at brutal lyrics. XD
You guys explain/show your songs in simple terms. But when I listen to your album. Its really fucking nuts.
Pat is a fucking beast!
real nice guys and the musicianship is beyond words! Love these guys
I must admit I'm not much of a death metal fan, but I could watch these guys talk and record stuff all day. They seem like like really cool guys. 😁🤘
George seems to be the least involved
i love how they were on ace ventura
Also. Pat O'Brien in a white and pink t-shirt. Words cant even.
Godspeed Pat...
i love how rob speaks, i wonder if he smokes weed^^ and: great dvd, great album!
awesome! thanks for uploading
it's cool that they still change their own strings....I mean let's face it, they're basically the backstreet boys of grind...yeah yeah I know that statement is gonna piss some smelly death metal purist off, but read it to mean they're pretty much the most popular...and rightfully so
It depends on their share of profit from album sales & merchandise & of course live performances. But, yeah it does sound fucking better than like working at Wal Mart or whatever! We should all start bands! I know I have lol...
alex is a genius
I’d like to see Pat write more songs, cause he’s got skills & killer style!
🤘🏼🔥🎸🔥🤘🏼
:umad:
@xDaZerox he has tattooed the Horde sign on his arm :) He plays wow
@runeblade806 some are easier than others tho. like pit of zombies and sentenced to burn are pretty easy. in terms of bass, which is what I play. festering in the crypt is pretty easy too. even songs on this album like evisceration plague and unnatural arent too difficult.
dude..he pretty much worships that game, check out the thank you notes for Kill...
its actually black, and it doesn't even look that outstanding, but I am not ok with that as you are I SHALL CHOOSE MY DESTINY :P
sorry, but i love my hair, and rogane is some foam thats supposed to make your hair grow back, not sure if i actually works tho.
Evidence in the Furnace!
The Evidence, is in the Fuel Filter...
fave songs (no particular order
1. shatter their bones
2. carrion sculpted entity
3. priests of sodom
4. to decompose
5. scalding hail
Cannibal Corpse Fuckin rules!!!
do you think smoke weed
i bet they just relax after practice and smoke a bowl or a fat joint
man i could see pat smokin and chillin back just jammin the guitar
@UndergarmentBurglar Alex were in college, Rob were already a semi-pro musician in florida, Barnes worked in a record store. That's all I know of 'em
wait. did Rob just call the song 'Shatter Their Bones' simplistic? The FUCK! THAT SHIT IS HARD!!!! There is NOTHING simplistic about that song!
lol. george at 6:08, these guys are awesome....
they seem like such a good group of guys, alex seems like a really good guy
I don't get it. Those Moralists are always pickin' on this band. But they are just musicians as seen on this video. They are not "evil"
yea i noticed. better than paul. not sayin paul sucks but all he does is bang the shit out of the snare and hi hat. its too repetitive
Yeah. I know theres lots of people that go bald like kerry king jack owens, Etc. But long hair beats everything. Its Metal Dude!
Paul's the best drummer for CC!!!! his playing style is just rotten dude that's why he fits at CC more than any other drummer!!!!
Ale jaja wszystkie polskie plakaty !!
@hahahomer "Was"? I'm sure George will sing until he literally dies on stage. And then tear out of the grave to raise more hell.
they are too fast for me!!!! i mean i can't sing them!!!! i can only sing evisceration plague :PPPP i am from greece u see :PPPP
@SICKGRINDCORE666
i have the cd with the dvd and the bonus track
@GWTSPEC7RE yeah this one isnt too bad. its not simplistic tho. lol. now fuckin To Decompose...that shits crazy. lol.
nah i don't think they would be better :PPPP
btw for good drumming listen to nile :PPPP
George Kollias FTW dude!!!!
This song...almost replaced Hammer Smashed Face....almost.
i think in one interview paul said something about 60k a year but im not really sure.
but that would be realistic.
Hmm, the definition of the software Alex is using sounds just like Guitar Pro, am I right? :D
simply Alex composed 9 of the 12 songs on the Album, a genius🤟🤟🤟🤟
would love to hear pat writing more tracks, loved his input on gallery
