Corpsegrinder is a good ambassador not only for death metal but for music in general. The misconception of metal as a whole is that it's evil and it makes people to doing evil things. If you're true to metal and have invested in the music and genre, you know that it's actually the opposite of what the stigma is. Music has been one of my biggest “treatments” for my depression. I’ve been dealing with it for over a decade and guys like George and Mitch Lucker inspired me to start doing vocals. And I feel that about the masks. It’s almost weird being able to see other people’s faces. Im actually moving to FL next month because they’re more relaxed about things. Plus I fee like I can work on my music more out there with the house+land I bought. The covid thing doesn’t help with my depression and I hate being stuck inside with nowhere to go and nothing to do if im not at work. I need a fresh start.
Surprised O'Brian has just been quietly swept under the rug after being such a integral part of this band for roughly 2 decades.. I mean even just a explanation! Just crazy. I miss O'brian, his technique is alien.
Pat isn't being swept under the rug. Pat has a lot on his plate with mental health and his legal issues which are will now prevent him from leaving the country and most likely his state. The band has said that they support him and look forward to him being in the band again, George has talked about how sad it made him to see Pat in the suicide vest at his trial and yeah, Paul said no comment because they probably have no information right now. Erik has filled in for the last few years and it just makes the most logical sense that he is made a permanent member of the band for the foreseeable future.
They could be exploiting it for fame being that they just released a new album and such but they are doing the decent thing which is letting Pat deal with his stuff without making a fuss about it.
