I would like some real world testing, to show any gains in performance. Track runs from stock to cold air intakes. Somthing like 3/ tenths in 1/4 would be worth it.
Notice some of these are picking air up down the fender. It still runs the air closer to the exhaust manifold. On the 2022 the air is routed from front grill, but it's not shaped in the correct position, the stock intake has a miter on the air pickup. It is too close to frame, and the miter turns away from grill. So air will be blocked by front frame and what air is coming it is passing by solely relying on vacuumed air. I'm changing mine from the sq miters to more of a center round large cone. This will be up higher a bit in engine bay,and air will be better forced into throttle body. The way some are configured you would be better off with a round open one on throttle body, like the old fashioned ones. As long as you have your cold air sensor further to the side of the tube. I may consider twin tube's.
Hey guys, ran across your video looking for reviews on the Corsa intake. sincere question I'm looking to buy my dad this intake in specific or the S&B and honestly, I'm not concerned about noise at all. I'm actually interested to know if there was any actual change in gas mileage? he has the 1500 hemi E-torque
There are! AFE has closed-box cold air intake. Check it out at the following link! -Zach www.americantrucks.com/afe-ram1500-momentum-hd-cold-air-intake-pro-dry-s-filter-black-50-70070d.html
@AmericanTrucksRam I have a 2018 Ram Rebel 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi. I would love to get the S&B cold air intake for my truck, but the last time I tried buying it from your website I got an email saying that it is considered and illegal modification for my car since I live in California and that I would not be able to get the part sent out to me. Is this still the case or can I order the intake regardless and get it sent to me directly
We recommend to get a CARB (California Air Resources Board) approved intake system if you still live in California. It will have a CARB EO number that is required to pass emissions. All of the intakes listed on our site that are CARB certified will be listed as such with an EO number.
Depends where you pick up air. On my truck the pipe opens at front grill. So the air is forced into a closed system without circulating around manifold, and heat from engine. With the large cone it can intake more of the cooler air. It's 100 degrees now where I live, if it picked it up on side fender the air would be hotter. If it was open the air would be much hotter mixing with heat from engine. Right now I have a drop in Sq K N filter that is sealed. I am considering if there would be a difference between it and a larger cone.
Which Cold Air Intake would YOU choose?? Tell us below!

Didn’t mention the best one….The Ram air intake ……..designed by the SRT TEAM at dodge ……
Bc it’s not a cold air intake system
@@battlethecorb8315i think it is actually a ram air.

@@battlethecorb8315..It pulls the air in from in front of the radiator. So it is a cold air intake .

Great video. Very informative
The S&B
Completely wrong about aluminum lol. Aluminum is a super conductor it heats up fast and cools fast.
I kind of can't take the rest of the video seriously after that "hot take" on aluminum!
Anything for a 97’ 5.9L???
Are there any cold air intakes for the 2019+ 3.0 EcoDiesel engine?

Do they have a filter housing with a removable lid
Can I use any of these or do you recommended any of these for my 1500, 3.6L,
They sell a V6 intake as well. Checkout their webpage.

California really turning up those commie vibes... 😠
My plastic cracked on connection to filter box 😢
The Red Eye borrows from cold AC air for a boost.
Seemsike a closed air box defeats the purpose

No, it's getting plenty of air, it's your filter that is restricted. Also, the box keeps the heat out so you get colder air.

Waste of money, will not improve horse power! Tuning engine will!
A good intake, catback, and headers paired with a tune would be “FBO”.
