That ground strap should between the OEM PCM and the metal tab under it (towards the battery). Puitting it against the plastic body of the PULSAR is not ideal.
Next you should replace the cast iron exhaust manifolds with some quality shorty headers and add a high volume oil pump to compensate cam wear. The design should have been like this in the first place! Aluminum heads heat/thaw differently than a cast iron block and iron manifolds are the weakest point to have problems with snapping bolts because of the rate changes in heat/thaw!
Shouldn't you go with a high pressure pump instead? Sorry I'm planning on doing this to my ram 1500 after some kooks shorty headers just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing haha
Wagoneer comes standard with the ETorque. Unfortunately it is not functional in conjunction with the engine at the same time. Basically only assists with occasional start/stop acceleration for only 1/2 of 1 wheel turn.
Hi. I have this tuner in my 2017 Ram 1500. Works well most of the time. But when I am in stop and go traffic or other situations when I am giving light throttle inputs it triggers two trouble codes. One is low voltage to the TPS. So frustrating. Truck goes right into limp mode. Has happened to me in some pretty inconvenient locations to pull over and reset the codes. Makes me generally keep the tuner at the stock position. Anyone have this happen to them. Any resolutions? Thanks!!

Update. After Edge tested my tuner they determined a circuit had failed and they made it right, a brand new unit! Free of charge. It's an updated tuner. I imagine the specs are the same, if not really close, but it has a new plastic (possibly HDPE) chassis. It's black and feels sturdy. 3 bolts in and out and a ride afterwards. I will know if my woes have been eliminated. I have confidence and will make another update soon.
Looks like a great plug in & go with preset performance modes which is enticing but is it compatible with the 5.7 Hemi E-Torque set up on my 2021 Ram Limited & I assume it will violate my factory drive train warranty?

My 2020 classic has no way have changing the modes on the dash. The only control I have is just simply pushing the traction control and tow mode buttons. Would this tuner still work ?
I have the bighorn, you don't have the gear limit controls on the wheel? I use them everytime I put it drive for now until I get mine a tuner. I don't trust the MDS at all with the health of my engine or tranny.
It's got larger tires and more aggressive as well. Amd it was only ran up to 4th gear. The hp and torgue is what your truck is producing bwheby thr time it's to the wheel it drops
We don't typically recommend "stacking" modules with something like this because it has the potential to cause issues, since both are altering parameters within the vehicle's computer systems. But good news is, this unit does alter accelerator pedal response in a similar way to the Pedal Commander. You won't have the same amount of adjustability here as you do with the Pedal Commander, but you do get an increase in power, some alterations to shift points, and the ability to disable MDS should you want to do that. So gives you some different types of adjustability. And if you don't like it, you could always remove it and just go back to the Pedal Commander. -Jake

I had bought a 2018 sport used with low miles it had mods done im thinking pedal commander it ran very quick one drawback when i floored it sometimes it stayed wode ass open. Had to pump breaks to get it to respond. Kinda hairy on interstate.

I have a 2015 with the same gear and same tires and I have the pulsar and no u don’t have to but depending on the lift make sure u add the spacer to the driveshaft after all it’s just plug and play
Just installed this on my 2019 Ram Rebel 1500 5.7 Hemi (and Yea, I Reinstalled the "Ground Strap" Exactly the Way it Was B4 I Installed the Pulsar Inline Module" - Between the Stock PCM and Metal Plate). Set it to Performance MDS Off... Went on Test Drive, and upon returning home Rechecked for DTC's and Got a P0016 DTC. I Cleared it. Anyone had this Issue with getting This particular DTC (P0016), and If So, What's Causing it.?
research the need for the mds feature. turning it off will restrict oil flow causing potential issues. if you want to turn it off, you need to remove the system too. there are many videos on this topic
Absolutely. 4 cylinder mode actually works by cutting the oil flow to those lifters so they collapse and don't actuate the valves on 4 if the cylinders. MDS shutoff just keeps it running like you hit the gear down button and put it in 8th gear or what it does when it's not running in eco. Eco mode sucks. My pop and I both get better mileage with it turned off in our Rams.@@AllThingsSuperMoto

I would assume higher grade as more octane allows for more timing which is how they are making more power..

I know most truck dudes don't give a fuck about this, but I'm super curious what kind of fuel economy gains you would get at the lowest power level.
I got 25 mph at 70 mph but have full bolts on no tune yet the tune should increase 1-3 mpg

I thought the 5.7 had 395 horse power and over 400 pounds of torque, this test shows only 310 h.p.and 334 of torque after adding the tuner
That's the ratings at the crank. By the time it makes it to the wheels it's significantly less.

Not true. Turning off MDS just turns off 4 cylinder mode which is a hazard to the engines overall life span.
