Just installed on my 23 classic and what a massive difference! If you are on the fence just do it. I have a stock exhaust and noticed a massive sound change as well as overall throttle response and shift smoothness. 10/10
Just installed mine today, and it was the simplest intake I’ve ever installed. I didn’t remove the fender well cover though, just eased a ratchet wrench through the headlight bulb opening. No sound change but planning a Carven Exhaust upgrade next. Thanks for the video
Hey Zach, after about two weeks I have noticed improvement in mpg and as mentioned the sound is amazing. I was averaging 13-15mph with cruise set to 65mph, now I am seeing anywhere between 16-20mpg with cruise set to 65mph Great product , paired with a tonneau cover from TonneauPro and I’m getting pretty decent everyday fuel mileage
Can you use the throttle body spacer with this s&b or does the height not work with the hood? Im looking at getting the ram air hood that works with the s&b filter.
Honestly, there's not many brands that you can go wrong with! S&B, K&N, AFE and Airaid all make some amazing products. Stick with those brands and you won't be able to go wrong. -Zach
James D closed boxes generally do a better job at keeping the filter clean versus an open box like KN. Volant and SB are really your only options if you wanna do 4X4 stuff, while still having a CAI
In the wheel well is a hole, if you're doing anything 4X4 you want that closed off or else you'll just be kicking in dirt, dust, mud, water, etc. into the intake. You could probably get a filter cover that would seal the filter fairly well but honestly it's easier to just close off that side.
If you do not do any 4 wheeling would it be better to leave the fender side cover off? I use the 4X4 part mostly for ramping my boat in and out of the lake. Would it change any type of power band or mileage?
Overall great product. But that vent hose to the cai is a bitch. Used lube then cut a little out of the inside of the tube and used a heat gun. You can tell they edited out some of that part of the install lol
You'll still be able to hear more induction noise compared to your factory air intake due to the higher flowing filter and intake tube, but the sealed box will muffle the sound more compared to an open-element intake. -Zach

Any chance you guys could create an app for your website?
Took me over 6 hours to install mine. Nothing was wanting to go on as easily as this video showed.
Congratulations 👏
It usually never goes as planned because we don't have the experience but you did it
It also took me 6 hrs 😭😭😂

Did your truck Beni fit from it? I’m the opposite installed my carven competitor exhaust (sounds amazing) now looking for a Cold air intake 😂
Just installed mine , I can tell a big difference in sound already. I will track the fuel mileage but the test ride I didn’t see a change.
Thanks for watching! -Zach

I am a truck enthusiast and love your videos. I want to put the best product on my vehicle 2015 Ram 1500 5.7 l what cold air intake would you go with?

What is the reasoning for closing off the other air intake area on the box?

I would do a lock washer under the fender after installing the new boz
My maf sensor isn’t like this one. It’s a short stubby one . And now I have a code for intake sensor. Is this even a maf sensor or intake temp sensor
Pretty sure that's your air intake temperature sensor. Not mass air flow sensor.

Is this the 75-5106 model?

Did you notice a difference after the install?
Yup was a bitch
HUGE pain in the A$$!! It took me longer to get that together than the rest of the entire project.
Mine went on easily, used the included silicone lubricant.
What lift and tires is on that truck?
Missing a screw for my clear cover..anyone know how to get replacement screws for it??
Anyone run the intake without the side plug in I live in PA it gets hot in the summer just not sure what they say to do
Can I put this on a 4.7 liter
Does this install have any improvement in gas mileage?
Yes. Nothing significant but yes it will improve gas Mileage.
I got a check engine light after installing
You ever get that fixed?
@@alexanderpimentel6178 yes unplug the battery for like 5 minutes and good to go after
Does having a sealed box muffle the sound alot?

This fits the 2019 Ram classic?
Yes it will! -Zach
Would you recommend s&b or afe?
You really can't go wrong with either company! Both make great products! -Zach
Okay cause I have a 40 series muffler and I want a intake that can help with HP and go with sound of truck.
@@anthonylopez548 should of chose magnaflow then for HP..Flowmaster is only for sound not performance 🙄

is this legal in california
Probably not. Most things arent.
Does it make you happy? If you answered yes then it's probably illegal.
Waste of money and time. Will not improve horse power! Will not filter any better than paper filter! Total BS.
