I lost my father earlier this morning. Yesterday afternoon we listened to this and he said that this was Gods music and smiled. One of the last songs we heard together 🦋
My one wish is to take my daughter to Salt Lake City to attend a Concert and hear the Choir in all it's glory (and I'd love to hear the organ at full 'chat') but, it's a dream, Far away and beyond my means. I'm not a Mormon, but I appreciate fine beautiful music and presentation, luckily TH-cam allow me this enjoyment
Oh wow...What a distance indeed! My daughter is also turning 12 in January. :). Who knows what may happen Derek?! Let's keep in touch, I Am Mormón myself and know a few People in Utah. Connect over Facebook maybe? My name is Justice Lebrón.
I will always have a special place for this song. About 15 years ago my then teenage son didn't want to attend church anymore. I was devastated. The following Sunday I was on the bus going to church and I was weeping. I finally got off the bus because I couldn't face going to church. I walked around Kensington for a while eventually ending up in an HMV record shop. As I walked around the Gerry and the Pacemakers version came on and those words really spoke to me. I realised that my faith had to be in God and not a person. I caught the next bus and attended church. Although my 3 out of 4 children are not active, that same son married in the temple and serves on the bishopric. xx
+Pam Dilmore - Oh my dear sweet child. I understand. But know that you're not alone. I hope you find peace in knowing that they may be out of touch, but never out of reach. As hard as it is, you must learn to keep going. It's your lesson in this life. You still have much to learn and experience before your time is done. There IS a reason. You'll see them again, just be patient and think of it as if they've simply moved away for a while. Live, learn, love and laugh - that's your job now.
My Wife passed away 20 years ago last Nov. 25 and my Mother on Jan 2, 2004. This song reminds me they will always walk with me in spirit. This s long makes me cry.
+Nicole Chow Well being Mormon hasn't anything to do with it. This is a Broadway tune, about hope and love. And it's gorgeous and sumptuous and gave me chills :)
+Elizabeth Hayes I agree! Also, I know I'll never DRIVE alone, since I sense His presence every time I head to school! (I have to travel 1.5 hours away from my house twice a week & go over a 20-mile bridge) Now u see why I always ask 4 guidance whenever I get behind the wheel.
+Elizabeth Hayes If I was a drinking man...and I'm NOT... I'd drink to that! That's a beautiful statement Elizabeth. Then again, women with your first name usually DO make beautiful statements. (Oh, and that was my late mother's name, too.)
when you walk through a storm, keep your chin up high and i dont be afraid of the dark. at the end of the storm is a golden sky and the sweet silver song of a lark, walk on through the wind, walk on through the rain, tho your dreams be tossed and blown, walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart. and you'll never walk alone, you'll never walk alone!when you. lone
I am a true God fearing Christian. The voices,so perfect. Very true you will never walk alone. In the war, I sang some of these songs to myself and asking for forgiveness and please let me go home. He let me do just that. How fortunate I am to be here just for awhile. So many did not go home in the manner they went. God be with them.
Two years ago, just months apart, I lost my brother, William, My Mon and my Sister Letty, It was as if my hold world had stop.....Today I know why God has people write this Angelic songs...So we can understand we will never walk alone....
God bless you, Andy, and give you the peace only He can give... My dear brother was killed while walking home from school on our first day of 2nd Grade (he was 12 months and 2 days older than I), my mom was killed by a drunk driver waaaaaaay too young, and then my dad died last year after an "OOPS" in surgery.. I understand your special kind of pain which doesn't seem to ever end. Please know you are not alone, and that you have some very special angels watching over you. My prayers are with you~
My friend Jason killed himself this morning. Jason, we all love you so much. I'm so sorry you felt so alone. I don't know if there's an afterlife, but if there is, I hope you know that we all love you and will never forget you. You'll always be in our hearts.
God is merciful to his children, and knowing this truth is the faith that helps us endure terrible things that happen in this life, I know this heartbreaking truth myself. God bless those who became lost and acted upon their hopelessness. your brother, Jonathan
I am terribly sorry for the loss of your friend Jason. I can assure you that there is an afterlife. One passes from the earth plane to the spirit plane. He will be with you and those that loved him. Try to find a spiritualist center near you. They will be able to guide you to a genuine medium. I have been to ones at different times. The medium acts like a channel, to pass on to you the messages the spirits give him. They do not want to know anything about you. All they want is a yes or no if you understand the message. What comes through are things that only you and that person would know
I ask: Just where would we be without Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Sammy Kahn and all the other amazing composers, including my favorite Richard Rodgers, of The Great American Songbook ?
I love this song, sung so beautiful by the Mormon Tabernacle choir and also the awesome and amazing orchestra backing the Mormon Tabernacle Choir 😊, so beautiful, made me cry tears of joy and happiness ❤🌹🤙💚🩵🧡💜💙💯💯🤙🤙
When you walk through a storm Hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark At the end of a storm There's a golden sky And the sweet silver song of a lark Walk on through the wind Walk on through the rain Though your dreams be tossed and blown Walk on, walk on With hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone Walk on, walk on With hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone
Dear Father; Please do not ever let me "walk alone or drive alone". I will never be alone, not when you are here with me always and forever. Remind me Lord, always to look for your strength Amen!!!!!
been listening to this alot. As Daddy went to be with GOD last Monday. It is rough but I know GOD is taking care of all my family and they all look in on me. I feel a bit lonely but GOD will get me through.. Thank you for this I as my family did we loved this song!!
I'd have preferred the end phrased: _". . . because He is the soul's first love."_ The soul is not an "it". The soul is in her original state like Him, the lover and the beloved.
Very beautiful song. I first heard this, and sung this when I was serving in the U.S. Army, while with the 215th U.S. Army band. Those words, "you'll never walk alone," still are with me today. I love that others have found love, and their own families ( I wish many knew how lucky and fortunate they are to have that). This song has two meanings for me. I know God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are with me. That should be enough, right. But here on earth, I'm walking alone, as I have no one to walk with. I'm now 50, and still single; never married. I'm a good guy. I love God. I have a good job; own my own home. I have friends, yet the love of another, and surely a chance to have my own family has now escaped me. So I will keep moving forward, alone, as I have always done, and keep putting on a happy face for others.
Once again, the majestic performance of this ensemble affirms the purity and power of music to transcend the common miseries and discords of human culture. Though I am a gentile, I am very grateful to the LDS Church for the freely given gift of their Tabernacle Choir.
This is one of the hymns I listened to while my mom was in icu fighting for her life. Sadly she passed away last week after 4 weeks on life support. Love this choir music. Beautiful sounds.
This is by far the greatest choir ever assembled ever. I cannot find the words to describe how much I enjoy listening to them. God love them all and allow them to continue their magnificent work of giving joy to everyone.
Words cannot express how this song by this wonderful choir has touch me I'm looking forward to graduate someday from college and it hasn't been easy for I'm 62 years young and have a sight disability but I play this wonderful song at lease once a week to keep me going. Pleas know this ALABAMA student from the University of Alabama appreciate this great recording . Thanks be to God for I shall never walk alone . My father and grandmother that has gone home to be with the lord will be cheering me on . God bless you Mormon Tabernacle Choir !
Thank You Holy Spirit, for Your Heavenly Father's & Jesus Glory! for lifting my Spirit and my Soul listening to all of these significant Mormon Tabernacle Choir Saints Angelic voices and giving You Heavenly Father the praise and glory! that thru prior 1988 Revelations would crossed path with the Restoration Church & by my mom, whom was an soprano lyric you allowed me in taking cared of my mom, to have been by my mom, baptized in their faith & the joy & delight that gives my Soul to listen to these spiriit melodies when specially I am overwhelmed in heaviness of my heart waitting for your promisses. Thank You Holy Spirit for the GIft or Art, thru music & floral designing & good friends, in Jesus Name I say these things! Amen
Heavenly, praise God for these wonderful voices! I'm a Christian and I feel God's power through this song. God loves you everyone, you don't have to walk alone❤️
What a beautiful way to start each day by listening to these arrangements vs. listening to the dreadful news with all the pain and anguish that is happening in the streets of the cities and the roads of small towns. We ask when will all end?? My answer is, when we all step up and realize that we are all responsible for our own actions and must all find and make that inner peace.
I simply love listening to these hymns and I play them often. Of course to hear the choir in person would be just Awesome but I live in Australia long way off. Still I'm grateful I can hear them on TH-cam 🙏🏼
Posting for a visiting friend: I'm 67. Have loved & listened to MTC since high school. But then the last time I listened to them, I had a very different experience-no matter how much I tried not to think about it, or told myself it wasn't likely people in this choir who contributed the tens of millions of dollars to continue my oppression as a gay man, I just couldn't get past it enough to enjoy the music. But today I think this song went a long way toward helping me put that behind me. Thanks.
This wonderful music transends all religion, color, creed, and speaks directly to our mutual humanity. In the final analysis, we are all of us on this planet, cousins
we all do without our closest ppl...n I don't know why this song surpasses the doubts n questions of wer they are. it comforts...God bless u..sorry for ur loss
I've seen the Choir in one of their tour concerts and it is a deeply moving experience. But to hear them within the actual Tabernacle in Salt Lake City is beyond words. I did that a number of times back in the mid 1960's when I lived there and it brought genuine chills up and down my backbone.
Thank you Steve, for serving for all of us. I am so happy you made it home. He has special plans for you, as you are a God serving person. You will truly never walk alone!
I'm edgar d. miranda from the philippines. MORMON TABERNACLE CHOIR IS THE FINEST AND HAS THE ONLY ANGELIC VOICE CHOIR I'VE EVER HEARD IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE! Thank you for inspiring billions of musicians in the world. .......
I'm edgar d. miranda from the philippines. I SALUTE U DAVID ARCHULETA FOR SINGING YOUR EXCELLENT VERSION OF "BE STILL MY SOUL". Every time i heard this song of yours, I've REALLY FELT THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY GHOST WITHIN ME. Young David, please sing more songs with Mormon Tabernacle Choir. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
That brief shot of the couple together at 2:54 (and 1:34) is something I hoped for all my life and now I know I'll have to wait until I pass through the veil for it to happen. I'll be glad to go.
This was my Daddy’s favorite song while facing cancer and dying at the young age of 37. He left a wife and four children behind, but fifty years later what an inspiring memory.
The song You'll Never Walk Alone was composed for the musical Carousel by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. In the original Broadway play, Billy Bigelow's character commits suicide by being cornered by police after a failed robbery and Julie (played by Jan Clayton) arrives in time to hear his last words. To console her for that loss, Nettie (played by Christine Johnson) sings the song
What a wonderful combination. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing one of the most uplifting, spiritual songs ever written and their voices are magnificent. It doesn't get any better than this. Thank you for posting this great piece of music.
Love all the songs they take me back to when my Dad was a Minister 😍 Thank You so much Choir there's nothing more soothing listening to a choir - GOD BLESS
"Those who pass by us, do not leave us resources, leave a little of themselves, lead some of us" - (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry). So the world turns... Hug...
Hello: I just want to let you all know that this is a very nice and good-hearing hymn-like traditional style song. I appreciate it and I am thankful for all singers and musicians.
One of my favorite songs. What I find special about this is that they use the break out in to 4 part harmony to increase the dynamics, or if not the dynamics the intensity of the song.
Non c'è niente di più bello, la musica che accarezza il nostro spirito, il coro del tabernacolo ha una caratteristica quella di appartenere alla più grande vocalità celestiale.
I lost my father earlier this morning. Yesterday afternoon we listened to this and he said that this was Gods music and smiled. One of the last songs we heard together 🦋
That is beautiful!!
Your father was lucky to have a child like you in his life.

How far away are you Derek? :) How old is your daughter?
Hi There.
Half a world away in South Africa. My Daughter is turning 12 in January :-)
Oh wow...What a distance indeed! My daughter is also turning 12 in January. :). Who knows what may happen Derek?! Let's keep in touch, I Am Mormón myself and know a few People in Utah. Connect over Facebook maybe? My name is Justice Lebrón.
You mean, "ITS", instead of "it's" glory?
Was spellcheck necessary? lol We understood, good and well.
This reminds me that my late Wife will always be with me.
Querem paz de Espírito ??? Oiçam o coro do tabernaculo Mormon !!!

The Lord works in mysterious ways. Thank you for sharing.
I love this story! Thank you so much for sharing!!
Thank you for teaching me this❤
Have the same hope, faith and fervent prayer for the others, and they will come around because of your faithfulness.
This piece of music should be classed as a hymn!
God be with me now... I am so lost right now. My family is all gone now... GOD be with me...
+Pam Dilmore We are all here for you. You will never walk alone.

We love you for that. God bless.

This is STILL one of my endearing songs. When I walk through a storm, God is with me. No matter how hard life is, I will never walk alone.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU
when every one is against me God will always be there for me .

Sorry but the text is "Hold your head up high". NOT keep your chin up.

God bless you and peace be with you always.
Thank you for such kind words, God Bless you.

millions of souls have been saved listening to the Mormon choir, may God bless this choir,
My friend Jason killed himself this morning. Jason, we all love you so much. I'm so sorry you felt so alone. I don't know if there's an afterlife, but if there is, I hope you know that we all love you and will never forget you. You'll always be in our hearts.

I'm an atheist but, good music, well sung transcends religion.
+Kevin Mullen he might have misunderstood you, but there's no need to insult him that way
Such a beautiful and inspiring song. This and Climb Every Mountain must be two of the most beautiful songs ever written, both by the same composer.
This is mom's favorite song and we played it at her funeral. It holds special meaning for me!!
I'm sorry for your loss.
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Oh, Father, this Hymn touches the most sensitive part of me.
Dear Father;
Please do not ever let me "walk alone or drive alone". I will never be alone, not when you are here with me always and forever. Remind me Lord, always to look for your strength Amen!!!!!
Surely the Good Lord Above is walking with us.

Norwegian grandmother love this heavenly songs thank you, Mormon brothers and sisters, I am a Pentecostal Christian woman!
I'd have preferred the end phrased: _". . . because He is the soul's first love."_ The soul is not an "it". The soul is in her original state like Him, the lover and the beloved.
+Judi Harbin - Thank you for the C. S. Lewis quote though. The sentiment is perfect.
when Im alone and listening this heavenly voice of Mormon choir, I really felt that am not alone in times of trouble.
This song gives me a lot of comfort. I know that with all of my heart.
Sheila Stevens FOR GOD IS LOVE !!!
Me too!!
You only have to hear the beautiful singing ------ Your problems and worries all temporarily erased and you feel like you are in HEAVEN.
So I will keep moving forward, alone, as I have always done, and keep putting on a happy face for others.
Such a beautiful song and your comment is so true!👏👍
Can never sing this song without tears, particularly on the tough PTSD days. Music lifts, it truly does.
This song is so appropriate for the time we live in! Thank you!
Once again, the majestic performance of this ensemble affirms the purity and power of music to transcend the common miseries and discords of human culture.
Though I am a gentile, I am very grateful to the LDS Church for the freely given gift of their Tabernacle Choir.
Listening to the Choir sing "You'll Never Walk Alone" is medicine for the Soul!
This is one of the hymns I listened to while my mom was in icu fighting for her life. Sadly she passed away last week after 4 weeks on life support. Love this choir music. Beautiful sounds.
May God give you peace, my friend. My heartfelt sympathy is with you❤
This is by far the greatest choir ever assembled ever. I cannot find the words to describe how much I enjoy listening to them. God love them all and allow them to continue their magnificent work of giving joy to everyone.
My favorite hymn by the world's best choir
Edward Parker it's not a hymn, it's Liverpool FC's song
Words cannot express how this song by this wonderful choir has touch me I'm looking forward to graduate someday from college and it hasn't been easy for I'm 62 years young and have a sight disability but I play this wonderful song at lease once a week to keep me going. Thank you Mormon Tabernacle Choir, orchestra and all.... you really do help make the world a better place!
I heard an interview with Mick Jagger. He said that the choir is his favorite musical experience & that he recognizes then from the first note.
In this time of darkness, it's music like this that helps people keep hope alive.
Thank you God for my days and the strength you give me. I will always walk with you in my heart.
F0r unto us a child is born
When I am discouraged or sad this song lifts my sprits and gives me the hope I need .Thank you my Heavenly Father.
The words are so encouraging to many who cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I wish God would enter my life right now...I am also lost and very near the end..
I don't think I have ever heard a more beautiful Choir in my life.
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir are one of God's great gifts to the world!
AMEN again and again. Heavenly Father's choir!!
This hymn thinking about God, the bad thoughts that pass in my mind are already gone🥺 God is perfect!
I simply love listening to these hymns and I play them often. Of course to hear the choir in person would be just Awesome but I live in Australia long way off. Still I'm grateful I can hear them on TH-cam 🙏🏼
Though this was a sad movie. Had such a great message. We are never alone when the Lord is by our side.
One of the best Choir in the world, I wish we could see them more often on PBS, but lately they don't have money for it. Thanks for TH-cam
This must be the best choir on the planet. Fabulous!
Since I was very young this gathering of musical talent has been The Hallmark of Music for the Worship and Praise of the Lord.
My favorite choir for 70 years! How they keep that same beautiful rich sound decade after decade is beyond me!
This beautiful choir saved my Mom and it’s saving me too. ThankYOU for your EXCELLENCE.
Listening to this unparalleled choir is a deeply moving experience every time I hear their heavenly voices..
Well they are God's choir.
ONE OF MY FAVORITES!!! Liverpool anthem! Hymn! Now being sung by the most devoted Holy Choir in the world. Outstanding!!
Posting for a visiting friend: I'm 67. Have loved & listened to MTC since high school. So beautiful, it brings tears to my eyes remembering when I sang it with a sextet at our High School graduation in 1958l
Finally justice has been served for the 96 . You'll never walk alone
This wonderful music transends all religion, color, creed, and speaks directly to our mutual humanity. In the final analysis, we are all of us on this planet, cousins

ANOTHER GREAT RENDITION FROM THE MORMON`S CHOIR,ONE OF THE GREAT CHOIRS OF THIS CENTURY.THEY WOULD BE IN THE TOP 3 IN THIS WORLD OF MUSIC AND SONG.
Again I say God the Father Eternal of Our Lord Jesus Christ Bless You.
I've seen the Choir in one of their tour concerts and it is a deeply moving experience. But to hear them within the actual Tabernacle in Salt Lake City is beyond words. I did that a number of times back in the mid 1960's when I lived there and it brought genuine chills up and down my backbone.
The most beautiful video I have watched on my tablet. The music soothes my heart. Thanks so much!
Could there be a more glorious song?
When I hear it, I wish I could jump around.

Absolutely wonderful, tears and all. This choir is the best in the world as far as I am concerned.
So felt peace in my soul.
My niece sung this at my moms funeral. It’s perfect.❤️
I always enjoy the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It's true though. You'll never walk alone!

Beautiful voices, I love The Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
God Jesus and the Holy spirit as one and three will guide and protect us all!
It's like I was listening angels singing now... What a blessed choir! They don't care to be the best choir, just a spiritual one and uplift souls!
