Merlin is the mad genius,his get it done mindset along with the rest of the crew is top notch. Perfect combo.
Many years of hands on experience , while Paul and the gang is planning step # 2 Merlin is already on step #4 with his can-do attitude. When he got that seized 455 olds engine running when they did the boat recovery that's was sitting in the dry lake bed for over 25 years speaks volumes. The man has mechanical savvy that you won't learn in any college
And he amps up Paul and Paul amps up Merlin, and Hunter winds up both of them. It’s just the best mechanical chemistry.

It may not be safe to have you guys together, but it's fun. There is a good chemistry in the shop when you all are in the shop. Hunter did not win based on showmanship, Paul gave it all at the end giving us a show. This going to be a awesome rollback.
Not to mention Hunter would of definitely lost the sand section if Paul didn't tell him what to do.
I couldn’t think of anything that would be better than the trifecta, Paul, Ben and Sean with Hunter behind the camera but throw a dash of Merlin in there. Could it get any funnier? Never laugh so hard at a fire. Hunter had the good taste, to put his hand over Paul’s behind, so the editor wouldn’t have to fuzz it out. That was classy and funny. I am amazed that you are able to see a pile of rusty ole junk and then envision it as an incredible re-build, after hours of blood sweat and tears fabricating 🙂 Love Merlin's technical explanation of the pin thingy 😂 Hunter is definitely right, it is pretty dangerous when Merlin and Paul get together 😂 lots of laughter and learning too 🙂 sooo nice to see the cousins/brothers having fun... their Dad's will be smiling down on them for sure 🥰 Beeee-u-tee-ful
I think fabrats is the only channel I can sit and watch more then 15-30 minutes of video. It doesn’t matter how long it is I’m watching the whole thing and wishing there was more.
One of my favorite episodes to date and I have watched them all. The laughs, the family, the friends the builds, just wonderful what a great combo on this episode.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but watching this I was reminded of the fact that Paul used to be a volunteer fire fighter (still is?) and seeing all his antics with fire and... "safety", it really sells that old stigma that most firefighters are pyros! 🔥

Paul there is a company that makes a fire extinguisher that looks like a road flare, it’s nontoxic,doesn’t leave a residue, but it’s a one use style, not cheap but there is no mess to clean up and is safe on wiring. It’s called Elemental. I carry one in all my vehicles.
I don’t comment too much, but I’ve been watching you guys I think a couple years now, and I just love all of you, your wonderful family, plus Matts off-road recovery & Robbie Layton.

Great video, Fire, Fireworks. the only thing missing was the fire department. Paul seems kinda jumpy for someone who experiences the unexpected on a regular basis. Looking forward to seeing the roll back with intended tires and rims on it.

The truck is going to be very slick. I love the 12 valve, Merlin reminds me of a friend of mine, he is about 55, been playing with them for what seems like forever. Guys like these are precious...we need more of them.

I have probably watched the fire scene about 20 - 30 times now and when Merlin, with his face half blue from the smoke and laughter, says to Hunter, "we told you it would fire right up and that's a fire!!"......I laugh out loud every time!! LOL

As an old man I've enjoyed watching Hunter grow up lately. He's at a really fascinating age where he's no longer a kid but he has yet to catch up with the 'old-timers'... but his courtesy and self confidence (a tribute to his parents, perhaps) will have him on pretty equal footing before long. Especially with Paul as mentor.
