Making Bath Truffles| Ethereal Soap Texas

🍩 RECIPE
The basic recipe is from www.brambleberry.com
INGREDIENTS
25 oz Baking soda
7 oz Citric acid
4 oz Cream of tartar
15 oz SLSA
4.5 oz Cocoa butter
6 oz Shea butter
1 oz Polysorbate 80
1 oz Liquid Glycerin
Fragrance oil (3 tsp Grapefruit) (2 tsp Lavender, 1 tsp Vanilla)
Mica (1/4 tsp Atomic orange for Grapefruit truffle) (1/4 tsp Lilac purple for Lavender truffle)
Fairy Dust (you can never have enough fairy dust) 🧚🏻‍♀️
Mix all of the dry ingredients together (I like to sieve everything that is going into my bowl). Melt the cocoa butter and shea butter in the microwave (about 2 minutes). Add polysorbate 80 and the liquid glycerine. Slowly pour liquids into dry ingredients and then mix with gloved hands until the consistency of cookie dough. Separate into two batches.
Grapefruit Bath Truffles
The first batch we will separate into two and color half with the Atomic Orange mica leaving the other half white. Mix in Grapefruit fragrance oil. Take 1/3 of the white dough and place on parchment paper and flatten into a circle, take 1/3 of the orange and place on top of the white and flatten. Repeat layers. Using the parchment paper to help, fold in half the orange and white pancake, then fold in half again. Using ice cream scoop, press scoop into dough and drag to get a flat base. Empty scoop onto tray covered with parchment paper. Repeat. Spray with Fairy Dust or sprinkle bio glitter on top.
Lavender & Vanilla Bath Truffles
Separate the remaining dough into two and color half with the Iris Purple mica leaving the other half white. Mix in Lavender and Vanilla fragrance oil. Take 1/3 of the white dough and place on parchment paper and flatten into a circle, take 1/3 of the purple and place on top of the white and flatten. Repeat layers. Using the parchment paper to help, fold in half the purple and white pancake, then fold in half again. Using ice cream scoop, press scoop into dough and drag to get a flat base. Empty scoop onto tray covered with parchment paper. Repeat. Spray with Fairy Dust or sprinkle bio glitter on top.
Place truffles in refrigerator for 2 hours to harden after completion. Store in a cool, dry place for a few days until hard enough to package.

You can avoid the slsa poofing up by measuring/mixing directly into your liquid measurements just before mixing your liquid into your solid
