  • Today I'm showing you how to make luxurious bath truffles. Truffles are made with skin loving ingredients & body butter. Plus, my recipe has milk powder so it’s also a nourishing milk bath as well. It's super yummy!
    This is a very "soft" recipe; you don’t have to follow it even close to get great results.
    250 grams baking soda,120 grams citric acid, *120 grams skin-loving ingredient (coconut milk powder), *20 grams sodium lauryl sulfoacetate, *12 grams titanium dioxide, + *30 grams fragrance oil, 40 grams butter (kokum), 12 grams polysorbate 80. You can also add tiny chunks/powder butter to dry mix for extra moisturizing truffles (start with 50 grams). Items with an Asterix (*) can be substituted. Replace dry ingredients with more baking soda or skin-loving ingredients. Replace wet ingredients with carrier oil.
    Sieve dry ingredients together. Melt butter & add wet ingredients. Combine wet & dry ingredients & thoroughly knead the mix with your hands. Once wet is added, work quickly before the butter cools. If making different colors, divide wet & dry batches and add color to each. Then mix as normal.
    SCOOPING: Fill & pack the scoop until full, then make the surface flat. Add decoration immediately after scooping. Dry 24-48 hours. They're fragile during this time but the longer they dry, the harder they become. Recipe = 12 medium scoops. Truffles last 6 months +.
    COMMON ISSUES 1. Can't get a scoop to form- pack scoop well. 2. Mix isn't holding together to form a scoop OR 3. falling apart after you've successfully scooped some- mix isn't wet enough, has dried out, or butter has cooled; add a bit of wet at a time (melted butter/oil) OR microwave mix to melt butter again. 4. Scoops are sticking & won't come out. Mix is too wet; add a bit of dry until it doesn’t stick. 5. Mix is puffing up/scoops are expanding- too much wet was added or added too quickly. Knead the mix until it's no longer puffy. 6. Scoops just won't form- you may have a faulty scooper or a scooper that's not right for this job!

    COTTON CANDY ECO GLITTER -10% off (50.00+). Use PROMO code: bathlab10 @ fizzfairy.ca?sca_ref=2325075.bFlI73wj5j {READ BELOW}
    I’m not sure if/when Fizz Fairy will ever restock Cotton candy eco glitter [CCEG] as they ran out a couple years ago. [CCEG] is more like a large flake-mica rather than glitter; it’s very lightweight & super delicate. The closest thing to CCEG that I know of are NS's “eco glitters”. They’re named “eco glitter” too but have all the qualities of a large-flake mica. Use them one at a time or combine them to create a rainbow effect. [CCEG] is more iridescent rather than rainbow, so it’s not the exact same, but they're all gorgeous none the less

    Lovely! I've always thought making a bubble dough would be neat. Then use some pastry techniques. These are very pretty.

    I'm in love with this! Thank you Dora. One quick question, when is liquid glycerin needed (if at all) in bath truffles?
