OMG it is gorgeous!! I love that wood grain! I'm so glad you decided not to paint. The repairs and color matches are not even noticeable. It looks brand new. ❤
Gorgeous makeover! I like the classic black top it accents the lovely wood. I did this on MCM coffee & end tables with Laminate tops and gorgeous Walnut bases. Thank you Walissa for sharing all your tricks! I’m taking notes on mixing stain into wood filler, on mixing stain into oil base top coat, and all the ways you disguise damage with stain. Thanks for showing us the dremmel tool & attachments. Amazing job on this!
That took real skill to achieve a specific look. It is absolutely stunning! It may have been one dresser too many given that you mentioned your supply… but a diy’er enjoys the practice… and practice makes perfect:) God bless.
So beautiful! I cannot connect the laminate top with the rest of veneer. Don't you think they replaced the original top due to some damage? In any case, painting it was the best option
Surprisingly, a of these MCM dressers have laminate tops. I think the main reason was durability. And I guess, this dresser looked fine before I sanded the old stain away. But, once you remove that old color (in my opinion)it just clashes.
