- After completely burning out after EVO, I have returned with a real and far more manageable video and stream schedule starting this week (Future Krack: This was a fib I'm so tired). We're about to do Faust guides all over again. Consider this tutorial a gift for you prospective Xrd players.

this might be the best character guide I've ever seen, it's succinct, has everything you'd need to play the character, and is consistently funny
I saw one for strive Axl a few weeks back that was like 8 minutes and called "an axl's guide to not spamming JS" and it's the best Axl guide I've ever seen. This one is just as good.

Every single video you make is utter gold, but I really really like this one. Up until recently with the whole Dustloop Revitilization there was 0 way to learn a character quickly and efficiently, and new players just had to slog through a disconnected wiki page they did not know how to navigate or 3 different character discords who gave you contradicting advice. Hell, with characters from less played/developed games, you still do! (robo ky has so many lackluster pages fr)

Man I started the GG series at Strive and have only mained Faust... I think I get why everyone was so negative about him if this is what they came from. This is just fucked up lmao.
I have very similar feelings. Am just now picking up XRD Faust after starting fighting games with Strive, and this video makes all of his kit look cracked. It makes me excited to want to dive in.
He went from a man standing on the same level as legends to a crawling broken corpse. Had they nerfed him to the level of the average Strive character, it'd be fair, but they outright sabotaged him and refuse to make him even "good".
soon faust bros, Strive Faust will be as good as this but for now let us enjoy ourselves with some Xrd Faust

i didnt play rev 2 nearly as much as i did +r. i really didnt know 2p to 6h was safe. i figured they could jump in between. dang.
They can, but you have YRC and a lot of counterplay.
Never heard about "Level" moves, what does it mean? I know j2k is insane in xrd and +r, is there any other moves with level 4 and does it affect gameplay?
what level a move has is its attack level, which is generally what determines its hit and blockstun
i believe it ranges from level 0 to level 5? you can check on dustloop to learn more
How “heavy” the attack is, is based on it’s level. Divekick is like a Potemkin normal. Lots of blockstun.
So it's related to how plus it is? (Searched in dustloop, I understand what it means, just don't know how it's classified)
@@fabiocipriano5312 Absolutely. This bad boy maxes out at +17 at lowest height (But can be punished if done too high by DPs or spaced wrong). Lil nastyman normal. More likely they need to tag it out of startup or go up and over the hitbox to win.
The reason why it's so plus is that it has "giant potemkin" levels of blockstun, but you land right after it connects, negating any recovery.
I always thought FDC meant faultless defence cancel lol, I mean they both describe the same thing sorry of

When you were listing strings, was j.2k j.2k j.2k a joke, or for real?
Given how plus j2K is, it’s real. They can still challenge, but you will crush all options that j2K goes over, and the gap is small depending on height and spacing.
