Cliffe I think you got to the big guy. His reasoning kicked in towards the end and I think you gave him more than enough to think about. I hope he comes to the knowledge of God.
@@theoskeptomai2535 Beyond anyone’s capacity as no one is capable to know His depth of knowledge. We only know what is revealed and clues within the language of Hebrew & Greek describing God and Jesus. Like Elohim means God in a plural sense giving clues to a relational eternal God, & relationship requires more than one person, so God is an eternal divine infinite & immaterial Spirit but exists in relation to the eternal Word that is Jesus & The Holy Spirit. All in perfect triune relationship as distinct persons that represent One God. This is how complex God’s nature is. Even describing God requires a paragraph to get an idea that He exists as a triune God. Even my explanation is inadequate & doesn’t give enough glory or justice to God’s complete nature in my limited attempt. So when God says in the Bible that no one knows the depth of His knowledge it literally is beyond our capacity. It’s like imagine God as expanding in all directions infinitely. You as a 3rd dimensional being can only see a tiny glimpse of this infinity. It’s beyond your limited mind & capacity. The only way you can see or know God more fully is by seeing this infinite being intervening into this closed system He created by accepting Jesus as Lord. Jesus is literally the manifestation of the infinite God by God’s will and design for redeeming humanity from sin. God sent His son Jesus, sent His eternal son who is of the same nature that is God and came from God, this eternal God became flesh by using the lineage of His chosen people through Abraham that He promised He would make an everlasting covenant with so that an eternal God can become the Lamb of the world, to become the final sacrifice for sin’s debt that God requires to be paid, to administer justice unto Jesus who created all things and is all powerful, to then limit Himself to just a human form, to a vulnerable state, so that He can allow Himself to be crucified to pay the debt in full. Jesus literally became the sin on the cross and bore the entire weight of and consequence of sin so that we might be saved if we accept His gift, Jesus literally became the sin on the cross so that when we do accept Him, He can then replace the sin inside us and make us righteous before the Lord. The Bible is God’s Holy word and it’s purpose is to worship God, to show how an eternal God redeemed us, all of us who are not worth saving, God chose to still go through with sending His Son Jesus to die. The Alpha and Omega, the ultimate most powerful being who created all things, who existed before this universe, The Word of God, chose to become a sacrificial lamb. God did this because God is love and kept His word to redeem us, so that His kingdom can be established forever and ever, so that every knee bows and every tongue confessed that Christ Jesus is Lord. This is why God has elevated Jesus to the most high throne and has given all authority unto Jesus. Relationally God the Father has done this. And only a triune God can elevate Jesus in such a way. This is how we know Jesus is God. God would not elevate a man above His own throne. God elevates His Son, the creator of all things, to the highest throne.
I love how the guy wearing glasses and hat talks but I love him more when he listens to Cliffe talks Prayerfully, he becomes a believer and be used by God powerfully.

Besides the Quran lies and talks about the gospels to be believed but they don't believe that Christ is God in the gospels and other places in the Bible, clearly, they don't even live with their own tennets. So therefore the Muslim faith is false as a friend months ago had pointed out.
Men wrote the Bible, but not just any man. If anyone thinks that the Bible was written by just an ordinary man, has to be delusional. There is no way the things written in the Bible came from the mind of ordinary man...just no way. Also the Bible condemns man and calls their sins out, so what man in their right mind is going to write something condemnimg themselves. If mere minded men wrote the Bible, they are going to write it to fit their agendas and not write it telling them thou shalt not kill, steal, lie, commit adultery etc... They also will write it saying God forgives and just do what you want to do and there is no Hell. Stop saying that the Bible was written by men. These men were ordained by God.
This guy is all over the place. He seems very confused. He’s already convinced that the Koran is the word of God, yet he cannot prove it nor he has any kind of evidence to support his belief. That’s really sad!

To the claim that statistically you are just lucky. this is based on a false inference of statistics having causal properties. underline constants and variables allow the possibility statistical prediction. so in the case of surviving an accident ,could be bone density speed of impact and so on once investigated you will find in some situations, no variable or constant can explain the incident thus external or spiritual forces are attributed to it. such as the resurrection of Christ after declaring that he would rise. if you find yourself thinking maybe there is a variable that caused Christ to rise and it was not spiritual, you are simply a hyper sceptic or an atheist that does not recognise spiritual this as an option. so your input in this conversation is of no impact. you must wrestle with the question of God first.
Hi Josh, with your example of the resurrection of Christ, there is an important variable that you missed out, .. that we humans have a propensity to exaggerate, invent or genuinely believe something that didn't actually happen. .. those 3 possibilities alone are far far far more likely than an actual resurrection. I was chatting to someone yesterday on a different video about the claims of Joseph Smith the founder of Mormonism. .. with next to no credible evidence he managed to convince people around him that he had a magical encounter with an angel called Moroni... and some golden plates which he said were hidden in upstate New York. Today, the Church of Latter-day Saints has millions of followers all over the globe who have been duped by this man's fanciful tales. As you well know, i have a keen interest in miracle claims. Specifically on the 10 commandments. The first 5 seem very interesting. The first 4 of the 10 are ways to not disrespect God. The last of the 5 is to honor your mother and father. When we learn to keep these commandments and live our lives accordingly we can avoid violating the other commandments. Commandments 6-10. All these are symptoms to not following the first 5. Which is why it’s even a command to avoid. If you worship another idol (money, sex, power, and even another god) you’ll do whatever to obtain that idol for yourself. Could it be possible, that we actually can be tempted by ourselves, to prefer the idea of God’s non existence, because it eradicates the effects of our inferiority to God. Think about it. If God exists then we by comparison are so incredibly inferior, we are actually nothing. And that’s hard to take. It beats us up. And as none of us want to be nothing, it becomes suitable for some to want to eradicate that nothingness, by getting rid of God. And because of God’s infinite greatness, we cannot help arriving at the conclusion, that we, by comparison, to His greatness, are nothing. And even though this logic is indisputable, nevertheless our desire to not be reduced to nothing, is of such magnificent proportions, that it’s possible to overlook this logic, putting our heads in the sand, and unwisely dismiss it, in order to maintain a self image that is not so dramatically reduced. The reason why many, if not all atheists, are unaware of this, is they have never thought about it. However this is a difficult line of thinking for them to entertain, because it attacks their self image, which has naturally inflated without being effected by the deflationary effect of the greatness of God, which deflates their sense of self worth. God’s solution to solve these negative effects arising from the unfavourable comparison between ourselves and God, is laid out in the first commandment. Here He commands us to love Him. And by keeping this commandment, we join forces with Him. We harmonise with Him. We amalgamate with Him. We begin the synergising process and start to synergise with Him.

Hello. I am an atheist. I define atheism as suspending any acknowledgement as to the existence of gods until sufficient credible evidence can be presented. My position is that *_I have no good reason to acknowledge the existence of gods._* And here is the evidence as to why I currently hold to such a position. 1. I personally have never observed a god. 2. I have never encountered a person whom has claimed to have observed a god. 3. I know of no accounts of persons claiming to have observed a god that were willing or able to demonstrate or verify their observation for authenticity, accuracy, or validity. 4. I have never been presented a valid logical argument which also employed sound premises that lead deductively to a conclusion that a god(s) exists. 5. Of the 46 logical syllogisms I have encountered arguing for the existence of a god(s), I have found all to contain multiple fallacious or unsubstantiated premises. 6. I have never observed a phenomenon in which the existence of a god was a necessary antecedent for the known or probable explanation for the causation of that phenomenon. 7. Several proposed (and generally accepted) explanations for observable phenomena that were previously based on the agency of a god(s), have subsequently been replaced with rational, natural explanations, each substantiated with evidence that excluded the agency of a god(s). I have never encountered _vice versa._ 8. I have never experienced the presence of a god through intercession of angels, divine revelation, the miraculous act of divinity, or any occurrence of a supernatural event. 9. Every phenomenon that I have ever observed has *_emerged_* from necessary and sufficient antecedents over time without exception. In other words, I have never observed a phenomenon (entity, process, object, event, process, substance, system, or being) that was created _ex nihilo_ - that is instantaneously came into existence by the solitary volition of a deity. 10. All claims of a supernatural or divine nature that I have encountered have either been refuted to my satisfaction, or do not present as falsifiable. ALL of these facts lead me to the only rational conclusion that concurs with the realities I have been presented - and that is the fact that there is *_no good reason_* for me to acknowledge the existence of a god. I have heard often that atheism is the denial of the Abrahamic god. But denial is the active rejection of a substantiated fact once credible evidence has been presented. Atheism is simply withholding any acknowledgement until sufficient credible evidence is introduced. *_It is natural, rational, and prudent to be skeptical of unsubstatiated claims, especially extraordinary ones._* I welcome any cordial response. Peace.
in fact, it is very simple, fulfilled prophecies confirm the veracity of the Bible. The Koran, or any other religious book, does not contain any fulfilled prophecies
Hundreds of people saw Jesus die and later alive. One man 500 years later said "that's not true, I know the real truth, you don't, end of story". How can he not see the irony in that.
Jesus makes it very clear that several things can trap and destroy Christians. He even told a story to illustrate His warning: “It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming-in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning-lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping” (Mark 13:34-36). Let’s consider the traps in Luke 21:34 along with Jesus’ warning in Mark. The first item is “carousing.” The original word comes from two Greek words, one for “head” and the other for “to sway or toss about.” The idea is that we can become so busy in life, so intoxicated with our adrenaline-driven schedules, that we lose our ability to think clearly. This rat race of constant running keeps us from spending daily time with Jesus. Drunkenness, of course, speaks of the result of drinking alcoholic beverages, but it can refer to any addiction. People who have numbed their minds through pornography, illicit sex, romance novels, gambling, alcohol, drugs, movies, food, or evil companions are clinging to dependencies that keep them from Bible study, prayer, and Christian fellowship. They live in an unreal world trying to fill a void in their life that only Jesus can truly fill. Even the everyday cares of this life can so consume us that we don’t put first things first. Finally, Mark 13 warns us that we can be spiritually asleep. It might be the biggest problem today. When a person is asleep, he doesn’t really know he is asleep. Taking our relationship with Jesus for granted can make sleepwalkers of those who, unless miraculously wakened, will sleep past the moment of truth. KEY BIBLE TEXTS And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. Luke 21:34

I am not going to debate if Jesus was reliable ,because in what form are we talking. People have prayers that go unanswered all the time. So in that sense it's not debatable because Jesus could have a plan, or maybe not. I think historically we can conclude Jesus existed. Outside of that I am confused on what major and reliable evidence we have. We have one guy saying there is 500 witnesses of his resurrection. From my understanding there is no documentation from any of those other people. (Correct me if I am wrong because I don't claim to have a ton of knowledge on this but that was my understanding.)
There are no firsthand eyewitness accounts of this Jesus or any of the events surrounding him as depicted in the gospels. Nor are there any contemporary historian accounts that establish his historicity. All we have are anonymous stories written 50 to 100 years after these supposed events.

What is this "knowledge of God"?
God is beyond human comprehension. What knowledge are you talking about?
So I think that big guy is quote hungry unquote for truth

Cliff needs to slow him down and focus on one topic at a time, rather than the reactionary responses to every turn the guy takes.
Besides the Quran lies and talks about the gospels to be believed but they don't believe that Christ is God in the gospels and other places in the Bible, clearly, they don't even live with their own tennets. So therefore the Muslim faith is false as a friend months ago had pointed out.
This was a good one! Opened my eyes even more. Thanks Cliffe!

"Someone has to win the lottery" he says......well the odds of "someone winning the lottery" is 100%
this is not analogous to something improbable, which is ascribed to a miracle.

Really? And when did I, an atheist, say such?
Josh, see how Theo is circling? He is is quite a deceptive troll.
Show me credible evidence of a genuine miracle.. and I *will* change my view.. it's not an idle claim.

Some people are even willing to kill for any of the ones mentioned in the parentheses. And depravity continues. Because that’s how sin impacts us.

Why do you cut the video short I wanted to see more of the last part?

The guy with the hat, glasses, and chains couldn't see through his own bias, so he kept not retaining information due to not seeing how it was connected.
Cliff felt he was making perfect sense, but needed to listen a little closer bc things just got worse with time, especially as the conversation moved away from what would help that guy come to Christ.
I get that the audience got to learn, too, but I felt the dude did want help understanding the theology of Christianity from a Christian. Instead they spoke about philosophy more. I think he, unlike me and maybe cliff, needed to understand the theology before the philosphy.
What is missing from this conversation...
Oh yeah, the Gospel.
I read it until my brain fell out from collisions with Bronze Age beliefs.

The billions of failed planets represent intelligent design.

Logical
Hello. I am an atheist. I define atheism as suspending any acknowledgement as to the existence of gods until sufficient credible evidence can be presented. My position is that *_I have no good reason to acknowledge the existence of gods._*
And here is the evidence as to why I currently hold to such a position.
I have never encountered _vice versa._
*_It is natural, rational, and prudent to be skeptical of unsubstatiated claims, especially extraordinary ones._*
I welcome any cordial response. Peace.
Muslim completely ignored that 1 man destroyed all the different Qurans.
nice.
in fact, it is very simple, fulfilled prophecies confirm the veracity of the Bible.
KEY BIBLE TEXTS
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. Luke 21:34
How did you come to conclude that this Jesus ever existed?
@17:00, this guy just gave Hitler a "Get into heaven Free" card
