How long has he been doing this? Why am I just now finding this? Especially when I went my entire life criticizing those that read & lived by the Bible. Even didn’t believe in Jesus now look at me … Life hasn’t been the same since I opened the Bible.
Please pray for me and my children this passover. I’m ready to give up. But my faith in Jesus won’t let me. I lost my job as a social worker because I declined the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health condition (Lupus) and heart disease. I’m on a bunch of medications including blood thinners. I was denied my medical/religious exemption from Forsyth hospital. Since losing my job I’ve been struggling to make ends meet. I’m a single mother with two young autistic children. This month I’m facing homelessness. We have nowhere to go. Struggling daily to provide groceries. I’m so ashamed and embarrassed over my situation. I am so overwhelmed, it’s so hard on me. I am all alone no family nor friends to help me durning this time. Please keep me and my children in your prayers this easter. Even though I’m facing homelessness I still have FAITH God will provide!
Keep searching for a new job vigoursly and you will find one. Maybe your pastor or local Church would help you also. They are your brothers and sisters in Christ. Just have a chat with them.
Some people argue just for the sake of arguing. Frank Turek made a great point. He asked people “ If Christianity were proven true, would you become a Christian?” (Surrender/ submit to Jesus). A LOT of people answer “No”. It’s not a “facts/ evidence “ issue, it’s a pride/ “I’m going to serve myself, not Christ” issue. People don’t WANT Jesus to be real. They like living their life without anyone telling them they’re accountable, or how to live.
And this will be tragic, when they open their eyes after death they are in hell. Satan will play back like a bad video all of the times they rejected Christ for his lies and he will be laughing in their faces. He will be saying “ I got you sucker!” All because they didn’t bother to exercise the faith God gave them. Thank God for Jesus.”But God demonstrates His own love towards us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8.
Would you agree that realities are phenomena that _occur_ at a particular point in space (location) at a particular point in time and are observable at the location and time of their occurrences?
In school, some students learned best from a soft spoken and kind teacher. Some students needed the teacher with exciting lessons and flashy presentations And other students like myself needed a teacher that yelled and threatened to get me to quit acting the fool and pay attention. So when you hear someone sharing this information in a harsh way or a different way you don’t appreciate- just walk past because that teacher is not for you. But just as importantly- no, more importantly- when you see a teacher that does teach the way you learn best, take the time to learn all their lessons. This subject matter is how crucial? Take the time to learn from him since he obviously teaches the same way you learn.
@@user-oj8zo3cr4b By not being convinced what is being claimed as truth is truth in reality. I think Christianity is the most evidenced religion, at least from all that I've seen. However there could be evidence against someone more than any other for some crime, for instance, but if there remains reasonable doubt they go free even in the face of a preponderance of the evidence. Much in this vein, while I believe it possibly could be the truth, maybe it's even more likely than not, there remains a reasonable doubt that prevents conviction. This is not a comfortable place for me to be. Christianity seems a most likely suspect, but I don't have quite enough to either lock it in or dismiss it and time is running out to render a verdict.

@@theoskeptomai2535 Yes to some degree. How do you think Cliff bases claims that Jesus is reliable? I got saved by reading the book of John and after reading John I came to the conclusion that Jesus Christ wasn’t a liar or a hypocrite. What He said He did. I realized Jesus Christ was just who He said He was. He made a very bold statement in John 11:25-26. I am the resurrection and the life he who believes in Me though he were dead yet shall he live. “ Then Jesus resurrected Lazarus and later Jesus Himself resurrected. No one can do that but God. The movie “Spinal Tap” was created in the 1980’s as a comedic historical imagination documentary. It was revolutionary for its day. So much so, in fact, that major film companies refused to produce the movie. They could not grasp the concept of a fake history documentary about a fictional rock band. After it was eventually created, it was viewed as artistic genius. The concept of historical fiction IS as Cliff says, not something that was common in ancient times.
All that back and forth to come to the conclusion "I have a stronger faith thyou." I have been out of college a long time these kids could never get me to go back.
I'm starting to hear this "deconstruction of faith" movement more frequently and I really have to agree with Cliff here. You can't just blindly believe, seeking evidence of truth is very important in the process of faith. It's actually helped strengthen my faith personally, along with regularly reading scripture and studying the word. Searching for evidence is not a matter of "testing God". If I blindly put my faith in Jesus without looking at evidence of whether Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism ect was reliable (or any combination including Christianity) I would be taking a big gamble with my eternity. If you want to get technical, reading the Bible alone is a type of "looking for evidence" and "testing God", so unless you chose to believe in Jesus just because it's a popular opinion or someone told you to do it, then you had to look at the scriptures and determine whether or not you think it's reliable and true. I believe that guy was being incredibly dishonest with his position, almost to a point of arrogance and self righteousness which is a very dangerous position to take with Jesus. Have a healthy relationship with the Lord by learning of him. God bless.
Watching cliffes old videos and new videos, I can definitely see a difference in the maturity level of college students. The students in the older videos look like adults but the college students today look more like kids

@Our Savior at this point, asking Theo Skeptomai real questions is like trying put toothpaste back in the tube. It's all double talk and obfuscation with this guy. Plus, HIS questions are ridiculous. Virtually every one of them holds an unstated implication.
I think Cliff should go more towards the spiritual and tell them they can contact Jesus through prayer. So it's not just philosophy, it's the power of God. That's what's missing.
Wow, the first guy got me so lost every time he begins to explain and argue with every one of Cliffe's points, its weird how something so simple has been so complicated for him. I was shocked hearing how he just agreed to follow Jesus Christ if He committed murder, was hypocritical during Cliffe's 'What if' Q&A, then he did not know God at all. God hates evil, He mentions it many times in the Bible, how He hates feet that hurry to do bad things, a person that ruins friendships, etc. The Bible has listed many things of what God hates and loves, and here he is claiming he will follow Jesus Christ no matter what even if Jesus Christ was recorded to be a hypocrite and do evil things, then that's not the true son of God at all. Luke 11:14-23, when Jesus cast out a demon from a young boy and the people accuse Jesus to be a demon, while Jesus asks them "And if Satan is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand?" It just makes no sense for him to say he has faith in God but not follow and love what God stands for. God bless Cliffe for handling him so well, the patience is amazing, well done! I hope that first guy was able to seek some clarity from God and have some peace in his heart and mind that it's okay to not understand everything about God, for it is written in His word, that God is in heaven and we are on earth, His ways are higher than ours.
The young man and the pastor were having a somewhat heated debate on the philosophical and spiritual nature of faith itself, and what constitutes faith. The young man seemed to have come from a kind of "meta" place in his argument, where he basically applied a bit of relativism to the definition of faith, stating that faith on its own is enough to go on, but that his own mind, intellect and reasoning were not needed in the equation since all he needed was faith itself. The pastor on the other end argued from a more down to earth place that blind faith was never required from us by God the father and Jesus the son, but rather that they taught us in the Old and the New Testament to have faith, but based on evidence that warrants said faith, as well as to have healthy skepticism and not just have blind faith. Personally, I believe they were both right about certain aspects, and wrong about others, but that neither of them were fully able to grasp the full picture and what God's expectations towards us are regarding our faith. They both brought up good arguments though and it was interesting to watch.
One thing I dont understand is why would I test the gospels as a form of history rather than believe them to be true as history is written before the 1990s and 2000s such as the dictionary? what evidence do I need that the dictionary is just as reliable as the gospels if at all? why not read the gospels as if they were true like I would study a dictionary that many look to for understanding? is that faith based of evidence or blind faith based off what ppl do for understanding and truth with out any hard evidence?
How long has he been doing this? Why am I just now finding this? Especially when I went my entire life criticizing those that read & lived by the Bible. Even didn’t believe in Jesus now look at me … Life hasn’t been the same since I opened the Bible.

Yes Cliffe!!! Keep posting!! My goodness do I adore these videos. You speak nothing but the truth. Praise God!
God bless.

You need to use all your faculties as explained in Genesis, Adam was instructed to choose, to work, to raise up new life, to have relationships, and cultivate the Earth. Jesus gives a parable about the ten virgins where five prepared themselves with oil and the parable of the talents where it is wicked to bury your talents are also explanations of this. Outside of those principles and patterns you are trying to hide from the living God.

People will always question The Faith of Believers in Christ as long as they don't want to accept real reality, they don't want Heaven, well, they don't want Righteousness, they don't want to surrender their lives to God, they will go to hell but they don't want to think of it, they don't want it to be true but they are fools thinking they can change reality buy not Believing in The Bible.

The Young Man is argueing that you shouldnt use your reason or evidence for faith. Because he believes Abraham didnt question God.
But The Bible Literally said Point Blank Abraham did use his reason to Trust God.
Hebrews 11;19

At 9:19, the bible does not say "don't put your God to the test". What Jesus said in Matthew 4:7 KJV is this
"Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God"
Where is Jesus quoting from?Deuteronomy 6:16 KJV
"Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye tempted him in Massah"
How did they tempt God in massah? Exodus 17:7 KJV
"And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the Lord, saying, Is the Lord among us, or not?"
So you see, after God delivered Israel out of Egypt by many miracles (evidence), they still had the nerve to ask if God was with them or not. What Jesus is telling the devil is, don't ask God to keep proving himself when he has already shown who he is.
Yoo Cliff love your videos 99 percent of times I learn something but if I was you I would watch this one back again ten times. Cause although you were somewhat right he was not wrong either and that is not a contradicting sentence. You could not distinguish the finer points he was making. After knowing God once he is saying he does not need any more proff. As apposed to what you were saying where you need proof from all experiences. I believe he is right his ideea is a stronger faith !
It's evidential apologetics versus presuppositional apologetics. The guy is assuming God exists and reasoning down to logic, beauty, etc. Cliff is reasoning up to God using Logic, beauty. Different frameworks but the same outcome.
Without the Holy Spirit no one can say Jesus is Lord.. 1 cor 12:3
Encourage folks to research the Van Tilian style of apologetics. He explains the pre suppositions we all have. I appreciate Cliff, but Van Til explains our starting point better.
Can anyone give me some resources that show that historical fiction writing was only created after the New Testament. I just want some resources so that I can better my apologetics
@Our Savior I’m confused on what your saying. Cliffe said in the video that historical fiction was not made until hundreds of years after the New Testament. I am asking for the source.
@Our Savior all good brother
@Our Savior Thank you! Godbless you too!
@@kylefuchs Historical fiction has been around since written language. The myths of Gilgamesh and Moses are excellent examples.

We are allowed to test God.
Malachi 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. "Test" me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Appreciate you cliff. You come once a week to Texas ?
D guy with d Joseph sweater (colorful sweater) I respect his ability for analysis, but wen he said dat if you require evidence to have faith in God den u have weak faith, dats just his opinion. Good for him dat his faith in God doesn't require evidence, thing is, some people's faith does. God deals with each person differently. Even Rom1:19-20, d apostle Paul talks about d creation of d world as evidence for believing in God. So what d guy said is just his opinion, it's not truth in Scripture. But it is amazing dat his faith in God doesn't require evidence, he just believes
Please explain this too me,
"A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” And He left them and departed. --Matthew 16:4(KJB)
and
“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." --Matthew 7:9-12 New International Version (NIV)
What dose this mean when asking god for a sign? How is this any different then asking for a gift and in this case if the gift your looking for is a sign?
@Our Savior I am sorry ppl have been rude to you, i can imagine ):
yes i am sincere, i have trying to learn about faith and read the bible to learn more about it(and watch these videos lol).
I feel like the "A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign". I am going in trying to learn about faith from growing up without it.
I want to ask for a sign, but "no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah."
I am on the edge of belief. I am so unsure about everything and i call into the void for anything etrax to added understanding. Like if this is all real then why cant it be?
I think of the other quote and wounder how these two things coming together. If i ask god sincerely, what would he say?
@Our Savior Would being rude include persistently calling those that have a different view than yours, a "liar"?
@Our Savior thank you for your thoughtful reply! I will try to reread it in context and ask god. Being someone new to these thing I dont ask god directly for a lot, it’s feels awkward and needed of me. Like the answer is here infront of me, but I am spoiled kid who needs more then that. I think that’s not a good way of looking at it though, you and cliff and other people in my life don’t look at it like that. Still it’s hard to get over ha ha, but I’ll give it an honest try!
Thank you again! I hope you have a wounderful day :)
@Our Savior Thank you again for your thoughtful replies. I honestly didn't think that I would even get a response back when I first posted. What is one comment in a sea of comments?
I feel like you're right, “God he's always there for you he may not always respond in the way that you want” and I was looking for a sign from the heavens and in a way I didn't think of I got you and your heartfelt words.
I was really touched by what you said and it eased my worries I was having about faith. It never crossed my mind, but when you said “God loves a Searcher because that means you're humble and you wish to learn” immediately resonated in me as true, like something had been trying to tell me that all along hint hint lols, but I wasn't listening. I think I was overthinking it and I need to step back and listen more to the voice trying to guide me and not worry so much if it's even things I can ask because to try to learn is humbling in itself and that's what god would want to see from me. Thank you again!
I'd love to give you my Gmail so we could talk more sometime! I often have lots of questions about faith and your responses are so clear and genuine i’d love to hear more from you again when I have another question if possible.
@Our Savior I deleted it! I didn't see your code i dont think. I dont understand what a code it ha ha.
Also it's kind of a relief to know that you struggle to even after 50 years! I am 25 and i feel like i got here late to the party ha ha
Thank you again for your thoughtful words, I pray that I can have your heart when i am 50 and walk with god now and untill then.
1 Corinthians 13:8-13,
Revelation 20:10-15,
I felt the guy in the beginning didn’t want to learn but just act mockingly stupid NO OFFENSE. It was mind blowing to watch and honestly sad because God gave us the mind to use rationally and it seemed he wasn’t using it properly. I’ll pray for him and appeal for him to have a revelation and see it in the eyes and mind of God.

Could someone please help me understand this?
