Thank for the explanation, the only thing I ever understood about black keys is that they 'force human laws on what's considered unnatural'. Now I see the priests are literally bringing the 'word of god' into the battlefield.
Other Weapons: This sword was enchanted 5000 years ago by the forest fairies and has the power to make you immortal, cut anything, walk your dog, make you dinner, take care of your sons, drive your car, and can play bohemian rapsody in the piano.

2:39 Okay it's time to put my knowledge as a devoted catholic to good use and try to find out the backstory to some random anime dude, regarding who created the black keys, considering its description it seems to be an OC or a historical figure that had many creative liberties taken about him
There were a lot of warrior saints from around the 3rd century, and a lot of priest saints, but not really someone that was both (I am assuming it's a saint because if it's not it probably won't be a historical person since to have a good amount of information about you from that long a go you would probably need to be super important like a saint)
But assuming it's a fate version of a real saint from that time there are a few options:
Saint Sebastian: this would be a real stretch, they would have to take an insane amount of creative liberties to make this fit (because almost nothing fits with what was described), but sir Sebastian is a very popular saint and is the patron saint of archers (and users of black keys are described as archers), it probably won't be him but he would be a really cool pick
Andrew Stratelates: he was a warrior saint of the time so it might fit, he wasn't a priest but since a lot of priests in fate are basically warriors already, it wouldn't be a crazy retcon
Saint Mercurius: he was a dual-wielding warrior, and considering that is pretty common with black keys they might use him (one of his swords was given to him by Archangel Michael so if they want to add some more lore to the black keys they can say it was a design passed down by an archangel which would be cool)
And last but not least Saint Maurice: I really think it could be saint Maurice, he was a military leader so he fits as someone who could be important to executors, not to mention he is the patron saint of swordsmith, having the patron saint of wordsmiths create the black keys would be really cool
Sorry for rambling a bit, I honestly don't know who it could be but it was fun speculating ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Black key users must have some of the strongest fingers I have ever seen.
Black Keys: Level 9 Magic Foci with the 'Thrown' property for Paladins and Oath Keepers, good for those who choose to Sub-Class in Warlock, allows you to use spell casting with your Dexterity and Dexterity Modifiers. No attunement is required. Accepts proficiencies in Dagger, Short Sword, Long Sword, and Rapier.

Wait, why would you do that, if Charisma is already the best Stat for those Classes? I would rather take that the damage of the blades allow to use Charisma for damage.
@@arcangherss999 I mean, given how I worded it you could add that on and do both. When used as magic foci the Black Keys allow you to use Dexterity as your spellcasting modifier, when used as a dagger/short sword/long sword/rapier you can use your Charisma score to calculate the melee damage. Charisma is already used as a magic modifier attribute for a lot of classes, including Paladins if memory serves, so why fill a slot on a magic item's ability list for something you can do by default?

Exactly, Paladins and Warlock work on Charisma, so technically you could. But why invested in Dexterity and Charisma, when you can meld all of your important actions with your Charisma Score?
I would rather have my spell, melee and initiative to depend on one score, and especially my best score. I could just focus on capping Charisma and maybe constitution
@@arcangherss999 I get your point, but I was using the lore and limits to stat growth when I came up with the idea. The weapons I mentioned use dexterity as their multipliers... well most of them do, long sword is a strength weapon... anyway I was thinking that since most people don't exactly round their stats that they would likely either focus more on physical damage or spell damage, meaning they may put more points into Charisma or they may put more into Dextarity. If they put their stats into Dex and get the Black Keys suddenly they have their weakness with magic covered as their modifier goes up drastically, just like how in Fate Lore the Churche doesn't really study magecraft but can use things like the Black Keys to even the playing field.
Admittingly using the lore DOES mean it makes just as much sense-- if not more-- to go about it the other way, the Charisma focused fighter suddenly having a weapon that allows them to keep up more in melee, so if you want to go that route there is nothing stopping you. It is a 'homebrew' weapon after all.

There is a good chunk of TM fans (Fate fans specifically) that brushes them off or assumes they're just as bad as The Mage's Association.
@@JoJoMadara Well if the Fans are mainly into the part of the franchise that is about (mostly) mid-tier mages summoning legendary heroes to fight over a legendary cup, but disregards most other parts of the Nasuverse, then yeah this can be the case. Tbf you need to keep in mind that the church also has very different kinds of executors. There are standard grunts like Kirei and Hansa who can body most average DA, but would get slaughtered by any higher ranked DA. Doesn't help that we barely see "average DA". Most of the time we encounter older or higher ranked vampires like Jester, Roa, Nrvnqsr, Warachia. Or geniuses like Sion and Satsuki that are immensely talented from the get go. And then we have the Burial Agency which are the big sticks against these kinds of vamps.
as mystic eyes of death perception is a entire concept which can be explained as it is in 2 main characters so theres a lot of info and tsukihime may get a 3rd route as archetype earth may come and people sometimes underestimated it or overrated it
Archetype earth did get screen time in the older melty blood games but that may need to be revised for the remakes

Do you think it would be possible for a person who's not descended from a mage family to become strong enough to beat something like an average dead apostle or a weak mage if they had access to cybernetics and some of the average tools from the mages association and the holy church combined with some advanced technology from the normal world?
I would say so sometimes technology and magic are confussed for the other
The problem is that weak mages are basically non combatants who are more focused in the politics of the mages association or are business tycoons like some of wavers schoolmates.
At most you’d be looking at people like waver and shiro who would get bodied by someone like kiritsugu.
Hell kuzuki and kirei aren’t exactly the most profound mages or mages at all yet they can fuck up a lot of mages so yes even without cybernetics its possible

Its an OC for sure. Because the holy church is not the same orhanizarion as the catholic church on the nasuverse. Amakusa was not from the holy church. He posed as such as a disguise that the reason he got the black keys.

Eh, not really. Chaldea is the "best organization" in terms of morality and usefulness, actually. The church is *at best* slightly better than the Mages Association and Atlas. But extremely corrupt. Mario held back reinforcements because he wanted to ask Roa about methods to make his father immortal. Narbareck treats Ciel like dirt and demeans her, only using her because of her immortality and would send her on a suicide mission if she ever lost it. Only to get rid of her. In Ciel's route, when Roa starts to manifest in Shiki, Ciel outright says that they would rather seal/kill Roa, no matter what happens to his vessel.
The church employs sociopaths like Kirei.
Yes, they protect humanity from heretics and vampires. But that's it basically. Their judgement doesn't rely on context, it's absolute. If you're a heretic, demon, vampire or any non-human in any kind, they see you as something that needs to be killed. No discussion, no buts, no remorse.

I wonder how angry the holy church would be if they multiple attempted on Alucard from hell sing kill to his multiple life’s while he laughing at their attempt. Kirei would try everything to kill Alucard but succeeding and what does the holy church magecraft has that could harm him.
Bruh, the Holy Church in Nasuverse is not comparable to the fodder club that is Iscariot in Hellsing. They have holy sacraments, rituals that seal True Ancestors away, holy scriptures with Immortality Criticism... Ciel continuously fights off Tatari clones of Akiha Vermillion and Nrvnqsr Chaos in Melty Blood and she's the weakest Burial Agency member. Alucard feat wise is at best mid DAA tier with all DAA we have seen performing way higher destructive feats and durability. People love to wank Alucard and Seras because rule of cool but the truth is that Alucard at best is a little better than Vlov in Remake but just a 💩-er version of Nrvnqsr Chaos.

@@nicholasfallbrook9810 Nope. Helena's Nail isn't anything impressive by Nasuverse standards. All it did is boosting Andersens regeneration, protection against the Alucard's black gun and the thorns. What almost killed Alucard was the Bayonet. And that only worked because Alucard released his Souls when going level zero. He had tanked it otherwise.

@@nicholasfallbrook9810 Stuff like Helenas Nail can't compete with the Holy Sacraments, Black Keys etc. the church in Nasuverse uses. These weapons work on a conceptual level, designed to bypass the DA's essentially magic based abilities> like healing through time reversal. Everything in Hellsing is pretty much physical, brute force most Nasuverse vampires would heal through with ease. The only really outstanding hax is Schroedingers nature.

@@mapotoffu7371 shirou can technically trace anything that is not a divine construct (except avalon and some other rules), but he traces swords and blades better. This can be seen from the fact that he traces armor, shields, spears and potentially mapo tofu.
