    I love watching tutorials when the person talking thinks the person watching knows what the heck they're talking about right from the beginning.

    No matter how thin I make the roof and the points of contact between a model and support, it never comes off easy. I always break the model chipping the support off. Any tips mate? Great video.

    Its amazing how slow the view port is even on a very powerful computer. Cura really needs to work on their optimizations for the 3d viewport.

    Ss Great. I am using Cura 5.2. My supports just weld to my print. The only way I can get them to remove is by using my 1000F heat gun and heat up the supports until I can pry them off. Very frustrating. You brought up one thing I did not think about. Is, one Wall supports. I wonder if I can print any other type of support other than tree supports with a single wall? I think/believe that CURA 4.x actually did something similar. I only tried Cure 4.x a short while before moving on to Cura 5.0. But I recall the supports in 4.x being much much easier to remove.

    The issue that I am having is that whatever is touching the supports looks unfinished. The entire model looks perfect but once you pull the supports off it looks like a bunch of lines that you can pull on. I have tried changing how the model lays on the build plate to be printed and same outcome. Only issues are where the supports touch.

    Is it possible to edit the tree support to move where the base is and how it curves to the model? I'm trying to print a wolf head and the tree base starts right in it's mouth and the support is unbelievably hard to remove and even if you manage to do so, it leaves a real ugly finish. Basically, what I wanted to do is to use the bed as the tree support's base rather than the model being the base of the tree support.

      Did you try enabling the optioning "touching the build-plate" vs "everywhere" in the support options?

  • @Svenhansson
    @Svenhansson ปีที่แล้ว

    How would you elevate the part? I have a stippled surface and laying it flat defeats the purpose. I want to have to elevated slighly and supports as the “bed”

    The confusing part for me is that I am using Cura 5.5 and I am guessing you are using something earlier, I have no experience with any version but 5.5 your interface is way different than mine so to follow on with the stream is very difficult for me... Anyway thanks for the good video on this topic as I am having fits with a particular bunch of models for Legions Imperialis, specifically aero type models and supports...

      In lower versions, tree support is under expiremental. If you can't find it, type in tree in the search bar above the settings you see and it should allow you to activate it
