excellent, informative video. just ordered a pack of Grizzly broadheads along with your sharpening guide. I cant wait to put a "better than a razors edge" on them!!
Absolutely amazing. I learned so much from watching this video. I need to get one the broadheads guides and start using this technique. This was an eye opener for sure. Thank you for sharing.
Just got done using your product. It works awesome and your right about grizzly broadheads they are wavy and they take some work to straighten them out. Thank for a great tool.
Thank you! Ordered fixed blade jig from yall today. Question . . . knowing what you know now, would ya recommend putting secondary 30 degree bevel on these Grizzlies?
I cant get a bur with 220 grit. I went through the whole process. I think I need to tape the roller, I know you said tape is not needed or recommended, but I think the lot my head came from may need the tape added to get the edge to the sand paper.
DO NOT USE ANY OTHER GRIT until you get a burr with the first. grit, You are just wating time and sandpaper of you do. You wont get a burr at all the other grits unless you first get the burr at 220. The answer is just keep going until you get the first burr..
Thank you for the excellent video taking us through the process of getting a broadhead exceedingly sharp. Those Grizzly heads turned out very well through your diligent effort. Additionally, I watched your video wherein you sharpened the 3-blade Cutthroat. I wonder how a Montec would fare using the same method, given the properties of the metal used in that particular broadhead. Thank you again
The black carbon steel Montecs would be ok. They would not hold and edge but they would do better than the grey stainless Montecs which are really just soft junk.
How long should it take approximately to get a full burr with that stay sharp guide on a 150 grain grizzly? I've gone through 4 sheets an still can't get full burr towards the tip. I'm using a sharpie to confirm contact across the entire bevel
what grit? Start with 240 and continue until you get a burr with that grit. Dont switch to another grit until you get the 240 grit burr. then break off that burr and move to 400 grit and repeat.
JJ it’s easier to to replace heads u get more of a variety going with screw on heads. I can take a screw on head on and off to sharpen or switch arrows in 2 seconds I use a high powered crossbow which only takes arrows that use screw on heads no glue no mess etc.
I used this head for my first ranch fairy build. A few deer and many armadillo later it's still shaving sharp and true

Just got my stay sharp guides in. They're amazing 👏🏼 💪🏽🇺🇸
I used this head and am now a firm believer. Best blood trail ever. And the arrow went further than the deer.
Excellent content - I have ordered the 200gn broadheads and am looking forward to applying your tutorial.
This tool is amazing and simple
These are like the old BEAR Archery blades. The old timers would round off the top to help it slide around bones instead of getting stuck in them.
Awesome video, thanks

Getting ready to order. For new in package Grizzly glue-ons, start with 240 or maybe 400?

For new in pack Grizzly, how many back and forth strokes per side on each grit of sandpaper, on average?

Hey i have zwickey broadheads. Will a wet stone work or is the metal too hard ?
you are far better off with out 5 grits of silicone carbide paper. Stones can work but you will need several grits to get somthing razor sharp.
@@innovativeoutdoorsman5067 ok i have 1000 4000 and 8000 in whet stones but illl look into the silicone grits
Hate glue on heads personal mmm
Explain?
