Thanks for viewing my channel. The main focus here is bowhunting lethality and testing and evaluation with the emphasis on the only part of your gear that actually does the killing (THE BROADHEAD) Especially as it relates to SHARP and sharpening. In addition there will be other outdoors related content
What qualifies me to try to impart wisdom on the subject of bowhunting lethality? Ive been bowhunting for 50 years, Im a chronic maker and tester and DIY prove it to myself rather than take somebodies word on the subject. Im in the bowhunting business with my own bowhunting products company and via the work I do for other bowhunting companies. I do real world evaluations of gear. I show how you can do it, with the focus on broadhead lethality (sharpening) Then I hunt all over with those items. Im a heart shooter. The most lethal bowhunter is the one that targets the heart because you gt the lungs by default. I also maintain a bowhunting blog at ronkulas.proboards.com/

Broadhead dullness is a thing of the past - if you have the correct tools and the talent. The stay sharp guides have really helped me throughout the sharpening process. Thank you for the fine content and products.
Since launching the Omega, we've continued to invest in our sharpening capabilities to ensure every broadhead is hunt-ready right out of the package. All of our broadheads are now sharpened using this refined process, providing a sharp edge from the start-an upgrade from our previous quick hand sharpening method. We appreciate the deep dive into the sharpening process and the different approaches hunters take to get their perfect edge! Thanks for your support! We also have tutorials available on our channel for how to hand-sharpen the Omegas using the LAYFLAT technology.
Wife will be pissed but I’m putting one of these over the house
Not a true single bevel. The first section is a double bevel. I would assume that it doesn't break bone as well as a true single bevel.
😂 not the case I have broken several humerus this season. Have video of it on my channel, the Omegas are superb broadheads and stupid easy to sharpen.
The Omega with bleeders looks crazy
I've got the 150gr with bleeders. I'm one of the ones that suck at free hand sharpening. So I'm gonna try this way!
Would a faraday cage work to keep EMF contained? Example: putting a faraday cage around an electric transformer on the ground. These transformers give out EMF and it would be good to minimize their impact if someone lives near one.
That's not a splitting axe. It's the Sword of Damocles.
Where can you buy this sharpener?
staysharpguide.com
Simply impressive!!!
They're definition of "sharpness" has go right into the toilet.. I only buy them when I get an AMAZING deal on them.
76 - pretty impressive. Thank you for putting this video together. I bought some of those heads this summer for part of my collection - now I know how to sharpen them. Thank for the fine content and products.
happy to help
Thanks for the demo on Magnus’s single bevel. I figured you’d have to use some tape on the rollers since I’ve read the bevel on that head is 30 degrees.
Better if you would have shown how to build it.
IF YOUR SHARPENING MULTIPLE HEADS HOW OFTEN DO HAVE TO THOROUGHLY CLEAN THE PLATE?
you will know when they stop cutting as well as they have been and then employ the blue painters tape method I show in the video.
@@innovativeoutdoorsman5067 OK THX
How do you keep the blades equal?? Or does it not matter??
just get them sharp. Equal is nice but sharp is what matters.
@innovativeoutdoorsman5067 you're 344 guide has been amazing at keeping my Annihilator 125XL very sharp. I am considering trying the Trifecta 125's because of John Lusk's testing. And his recommendations.
The best I’ve seen, thank you! Subscribed
i have a ridiculous number of old singer treadle sewing machines. hmmmm...
My generator is the same size and I was wondering about a good way to cage it. Thanks. Not sure I could do it for $40, but even if it cost me 2x that, it would definitely worth it. Plus I have plenty of time on my hands for a new project. Thanks.
I built one just like this video but mine did not work, and I don't believe it was due to a careless build.
This is a great design concept that can be accomplished with reasonable effort. Ok so it may not be perfect for all EMP frequencies and intensities but it is better than nothing. I am looking to duplicate your design but by building a plywood box, using aluminum screen like you did and then draping it with faraday cloth. This will ad $50 cost but give me a little more protection. Thanks for being a thought leader on this!
Could you use this sharpener for any 4 blade head?
no, just Tooth of the Arrow.
This is probably the most informative video I've seen yet. Thank you Sir.
I really appreciate the video! I'm building at least one of these as soon as the roll of aluminum screen I ordered gets here. Of all the ideas, tests, and videos, this one makes the most practical sense.
Just subscribed. Good work
Did you build this wood furnace yourself ? Looks like a project and not able to just pick up at the local Home Depot haha
Its a purchased wood burning stove that you would fins in the basement of any home and ducted into the furnace ducting. Its just outside in its own building and a portion of the ducting run underground to reach the basement furnace.
Thats great getting sharp !! Too bad the STEEL IS 💩 and will not hold an thru the Hair !!
SUPER informative - especially about the mesh UNDER the generator. Most of us outside "the know" would have thought the topside coverage is all that's needed!
Loved the video, liked "how dull is your head"
Great videos. If you had to recommend these or the VPA, which would you choose? I feel like the tanto tip would be more beneficial than the VPA head. Thanks
Im a fixed blade guy BUT if I were to choose a mech head, it would be SEVR. VPA makes great stuff too. You cant go wrong with any of their heads.
@innovativeoutdoorsman5067 Thanks for the reply. I am actually referring to the single bevel fixed heads.
I TAKE IT THAT WAS A NEVER SHOT OUT OF THE PACKAGE BLACK HORNET THAT GAVE THOSE SHARPNESS RESULTS OR LACK THERE OF??? PLEASE
Did you test feather fletching? With broadheads?
Did you give up on your broadhead design?
tape inside where there are holes - handles etc.
Thanks for a great video
I would suggest making one side of it able to swing open so that you can just roll the generator into it instead of lifting the cage off. I'm sure you can seal the edge well enough when it is shut.
How does it hook to the arrow
Ive never seen an exodus that dull out of the pack
Noooo don't do try the thumbnail test.very bad idea😂
The video was super informative and satisfying thank you. Another thing I would like to know is after every 20 or 40 cuts of paper measure the sharpness again. Or after every 10 cuts change the material. Cut plastic bottle, tomato and so on. So that we can find out how quickly a blade dulls over time. Maybe you can compare standart steel and high quality steel. Just an idea for your TH-cam videos.
Nice work mahn, a cheap way to sharpen knifes
❤ Bravo
Glad to see another cereal box stropper 👍
How long total time did it take you to sharpen the one knife?
a really dull big knife takes 15 mins. smaller knives take less time.
