Agreed. Recently took a PS4 with multiple controllers that i no longer use with a good selection of appropriately rated games to a children’s ward, which was a good call because the staff wanted a gaming system for the kids for a while. Went back a few days later to see my girlfriend who works there, and she shown me the kids playing games together on it and they looked happy. Put a smile on my face
I think they do have a great deal of fun doing what they do. Sure the money is import as it's their living, but to them, it's more than just a means to pay their expenses. Josh has said more than once, that he'll never stop doing what he's doing. They are an amazing couple.
You got this so stop stressing, I watched how Y'all blessed your friend recently. Now wait and watch how God blesses good people like the two of you......Luv you both
Hi. I am Ravi from UK. I actually look forward to your vlogs. If they dont come I kind a start to get withdrawal symptoms. They are so entertaining and educational as well as saving the environment. I love your banters with Zo in the flea market. He is a gem. I like your psuedo mama who sells you shoes and wants a grand baby. Amazingly hilarious. Keep at it. Very entertaining indeed. Hayley is so precious and your dog cute. Love u all.
You both are so amazing! What an inspiration to all of us resellers. Hard work and perseverance pays off! Thanks for including us in your journey! -Amy
I love these longer videos, they make my day! I seriously considered selling on Whatnot, but just have no interest in providing entertainment along with the selling. I know that’s a huge part of getting people to attend the shows, with good reason. I’ve attended some that were painfully boring lol
No... you just have to have a following, 90% of your viewers on whatnot are people that wanna support you. Please don't let the average joe think he can start a whatnot on his own and just be as successful as you guys.@@HairyTornado
That gray Aran Co. piece comes from Ireland. It looks to be a shawl. Aran Co. stuff is very pricey. I know cause I have bought my wife a few sweater and shawls. That would go for over $100.00. Great find.
New Aran Island things like sweaters and shawls are in the $70-100 range these days. I just got back from Ireland last week and sent several Aran things home.
Amazing how you find good shoes at your bins. At our Akron store guys wait like vultures for the new bins to rotate out, pounce on them, and totally fill their carts. Then they retire to a corner and sort for good ones and then toss the bad ones back.
Just started looking at the troll stuff--Thomas Dam from Denmarl is known as the father of the original troll dolls. I saw a similar one to yours on Worthpoint that sold for $496. I don't think you'd have an issue getting at least $250. Another similar one had a robe and sword and was called a viking troll. So, yours may belong to that line. Wow, big time BOLO. Look for any trolls that have tails or have an almost albino look to them--those features seem to command $700+. The albino ones have hit $1K+! Hope this helps. Amazing find!
The coolest part is that you have a following that wants to see you succeed, so friends and fans are willing to donate a lot of money to see you succeed.
I recall when you did your starting from zero challenge, you flipped a few things at Play it Again Sports. It would be interesting to see a challenge where you target stuff to take there - kind of as a way to show you don't need a big social media following to do what you're doing (which obviously helps a lot on whatnot)
That particular video was how I found him as well - and I loved that series - as he did show you can do it by starting from 0 but with know-how. His knowledge of shoes and golf clubs and other sporting goods is amazing - but that can be learned.
Oh wow, that's so cool you found an Aran Co blanket! The Aran Islands in Ireland are known for their wool products and clothing. I visited there when I was a kid and still have a sweater I bought from there. Anyways, wishing y'all the best of luck with the house!
Hi Amy. I agree 100% about the length. In fact, I enjoy the longer ones as by the time they end, I've had more time to get totally 'lost' in the contents. Josh and Hayley do such a wonderful job of filming everything, that it is a pleasure to sit back and watch their video.
Your bins videos are my absolute favorite. Not only do I love to see what you guys find, but I love listening to the interactions you have with other shoppers. Hi Mose! Love you so much! 🐾
Josh I love how honest and straight forth you and Haley are. I am so entertained by your videos and content and look forward to them coming out each week. Keep smiling and hustling. I Love you too👊
I think this is one of the first challenges in quite a bit where you missed your goal, but at least you're honest about missing it and not trying to hide anything. Honesty comes a long way and you're one of the few people who are always very honest about everything!
Hi Linda. That's a great idea about 'borrowing' from Mose, however, I can see one problem. I imagine after he has a toy for a while, it might not be in the best condition to sell. But maybe it would sell great, as someone might purchase it as a keepsake. You know, like people always want some item autographed by a celebrity. Maybe Josh and Hayley could auction the item off on What-Not, and also include a paw-print or maybe Mose's picture to 'personalize' the item. :) Hmm, this might give them a whole new line of products to sell. Something that I'm quite sure no other reseller has. Do you think they would be willing to pay a 'royalty' for suggesting the idea? LOL
Absolutely loved this video. You guys did so great on your bin haul, as usual. Love the challenges you do. Didn't you install a washer and dryer in the warehouse to launder things there? Most favorite part was getting to see Mose as he inspects the new goods. Question is, did he ever come back and choose himself a toy? He cracked me up sniffing everything and just walking away like he couldn't be bothered right now. LOL
The bins were actually "good" for a change. Again personal use, but I should make at least 30 on 1 item I got from the $20 total I spent on everything. THAT, is the crazy deal of all GWs.
That was funny about the wrong total all along. So...I'm glad you are realizing that that old sheets or duvet covers do have value - as fabric. We quilters love them - and if they are special like that - we can use them for special quilts for our loved ones who loved those old shows or movies.
Hi, FYI, if the red, white and blue tag with serial# is in the DOONEY and BOURKE bag it is DEFINITELY AUTHENTIC. This bag is the easiest bag to authenticate. When you pick up this bag the first thing I do is to look for that tag which is definitely in the vintage bag. Some of the newer bags with pink lining sometimes don’t have that tag and you have to look for other signs to authenticate. Great haul.
Hi darlin's! When you get home and you carry in your Ikea bags, and then you dump out the plush, shove that same bag back into your Ikea bag for the next trip, that way you reuse the plush bag & you never have to have someone watch your stuff to go get a bag. You guys ALWAYS get plush...just a thought.
That is very true about Whatnot. It's not always about the value but how people feel. Also, I noticed that buyers who create some sort of excitement get higher bids. I have loved all your whatnot lives that I have seen. Keep it up and bring back the corn costume!
Hi Sweetgirl. I love your name; it's so unique. Though you might consider getting a different icon to use, as what you have doesn't quite fit your name. :) It's true, the seller needs to provide some kind of 'interest or excitement' that will hold the customer's interest. That's true in anything you do that involves others. People have a short attention span nowadays.
@@gordjohn2322the mustache is a joke between me and my parents. So the icon means something to me. But I agree. People do have a short span but also... @@sweetgirl4u247 Hi Sweetgirl. Thanks for your reply. When I saw that moustache attached to your name, I figured there had to be a 'story' there someplace. As long as it means something to you, then it's a perfect icon for you to use. It's true that you can never tell about people because sometimes they will do the craziest things. Before she knew it, she had friends and neighbours out gathering them just to fill all her orders. It proves that old saying of, 'One man's junk is another man's treasure'. So - - you wash all those stuffed animals??? You should list that because I have passed on many items for my newest granddaughter because I did not want to have to go through washing them first. And there is no way I would just give it to her out of the bag. And do you wash all the clothing also??
Fun video to watch. You really found some great items in the bins. You make it look easy but I imagine it can take hours sometimes. I’m enjoying this series too.
