The absolute best RX350 spark plug change video I have seen anywhere, including on the various Lexus forums. The factory Denso iridium spark plugs tend to last a very long time so I plan to do this job on my wife's 2015 model when she reaches 150,000 miles. It is indeed a tedious procedure but I know your excellent how-to video will get me through it. Thanks for posting such a detailed video, Viktor, and keep up the great work. You really help each and every one of us attempting to maintain our own RX350s as best we can.

Great video, really easy to follow step-by-step directions. Did the spark plugs today on our 2013 RX350. It has 103,000 miles, and the spark plugs I removed appear to be the original Densos from the factory, so it was time. Our local repair shop of choice quoted just over $1,100 because of the labor time. It took me about 6 hours, which included two trips to the auto parts store, one trip for the intake and throttle body gaskets, another to get a 5mm Allen socket to remove the manifold. Thanks for making this video Viktor.

Your DIY videos are some of most comprehensive and complete descriptions on TH-cam (esp. listing all of the torque specs--future videos, if you can embed/flash the torque specs in the text captions while working on parts, that would be great as sometimes it's hard to hear audio). The pace/cadence are super clear as well. I'm a big fan of your channel. I purchased the 3 new Denso ignition coils for the rears as I didn't want to have to go back to redo them if there were issues. 2 things I did different: for ease, I removed the lower 12mm bolt on the passenger side intake manifold bracket instead of the upper bolt that connects directly to the intake manifold (no issues removing the intake manifold with the bracket attached); and I only took off 2 bolts and a nut holding the rear wiring harness to get access to the rear ignition coils. Extremely solid videos!

Thank You Viktor, you video was amazing. took me a little over 5 hours to complete the job on my 2013 RX 350 with 162000 miles on it. Bought the car with 30000 miles on it, so I know they were original parts. Did Change the coils. I struggled with the second 12 mm bolt on the intake manifold, so I just took off the bracket 12mm bolt and was careful in removing and installing the manifold,. Did not have to worry about lining up the bracket either. Really appreciate how clear your video are .

I also did the spark plug but pretty much did a short cut and didn’t remove some of the parts you removed to save time, however, I was still able to change all six spark plugs. Is there a reason why you show us the longer way of doing instead of the shorter, shortcut way?

This is the way I would personally do it. It is possible to remove the intake manifold without taking the cowl off, but it is more difficult and opens up the possibility of dropping dirt and sand into the intake openings. Considering taking the cowl off only takes about 5 minutes, that is the way I would do it.

It’s all about the angle and the proper wrench, there isn’t really a trick to it. You can also just unbolt the bracket from the valve cover and leave it attached to the manifold.
