Thanks for the video . I’ve done spark plugs on other cars and the threads will always look like that even after 20-30k miles. The tips of the plugs is what you need to look at to determine the condition of the spark plugs.
Haha yea that was sketchy but I trust my self to do it carefully than someone carelessly doing it inna shop. Not only that but I also didnt have to pay $600 to have someone do it
That's why they say short ram intakes are worse for performance than an actual cold air intake or a high flow drop in filter. It literally is sucking up hot air, and that is so bad for HP gains.
What coil packs would you recommend for that 3.5 L engine? I have an RC350. Same motor. I might as well replace the packs when I’m ready to swap the plugs. Please advise. 🤘
@@cuppuchino4868honestly bro I’m not a pro at wrenching on cars but his video made it look fairly straight forward. Changing plugs is a lot easier than changing brake pads. It just sucks to have to remove all of those things. The one part that looks like a major pain in the ass is the first plug that’s right under the intake plenum. I’d hate to have to use that little wrench like he did bc i feel like id for SURE drop that bolt!
dude you save my life ,i was about to remove the intake but is350 intake is different than the is250, thank you bro perfect video
happy to hear brother!
Quick and straight to the point bro ! Easy to change for sure. Appreciate it bro
Yeah lexus wanted $630 for this, i said i’ll do it myself 🤣 Great video
Thank you haha, Yea $630 for something that took 2-3 hours was ridiculous. Felt good doing it myself and I also know everything was done to spec
Thanks for the video bro. I just ordered some Vibranium plugs. Should last me a couple hundred thousand miles.

I changed the sparks as well with a transmission drain and fill for my 16’ IS3
I was contemplating doing the transmission drain but I might just leave it for now
@@Miko3IS yeah I can feel the difference..
currently at 60k miles
how did you the trans change, and how much oil came out?
Thx for the vid. I’ll do mine myself now
youre welcome!
Did you disconnect the negative terminal of the battery? Also, was really hoping you showed how you got those second set of spark plugs out.
8:43 Bro, you are brave. You are not scared of cross threading those sparkplugs
Haha yea that was sketchy but I trust my self to do it carefully than someone carelessly doing it inna shop. Not only that but I also didnt have to pay $600 to have someone do it
I used the same spark plugs for the whole life of my 2002 Camry V6.
The plugs and coils lasted 340000Km!!
I think they were Iridium.
holy shit 340k on one set of spark plugs is insane, im surprised it lasted that long!
very good video! 👍🏼
Thank you! 👍
"This one STEPs too.....nah its SLOW as sh*t." 😂 im SUBSCRIBING just off of that. 💯
😂😂
hey buddy, did u see any difference from the older plugs? Any difference in smoothness or anything?
great video! what was the spark plug socket size? 5/8th?
I believe so but im not 1000% sure
Thank you for this video. The hardest part was not breaking the plastic tabs on the drivers side.
Just ordered some Ruthenium ones.
What psi when u tighten the spark plugs ???
Torque spec ?
18lb
U didn’t change the coils ?? Only spark plugs ?
I got 93k miles on my 15’ is350F awd and Lexus quoted me for $1,000 is that good or are they insane 😭
Great job!
thank you!
Think I had a flash back around the 7:30 mark🙄
Has those spark plugs cause you any trouble since you installed them?
No problems!
How much torque on the wrench?
18lbs
Hot air intake
CAI does not look like it belongs on there. You are now sucking in hot engine bay air and actually losing horsepower.

BMW said it would be $700 per spark plug!
Goddamn im about to stand outside bmw and tell people Ill do them for half off 💀
That coil is bad, that's why that 1 sparkplug looks,burnt..I woulda changed my coils 2,you already there
Yea I went back and changed the coils too, shoulda just done it all at once
What coil packs would you recommend for that 3.5 L engine? I have an RC350. Same motor. I might as well replace the packs when I’m ready to swap the plugs. Please advise. 🤘
I would use OEM Denso..I did mine yesterday coil packs and sparkplugs
Hell na I barely got time to even leave a youtube comment
I’ll pay the 600
@@cuppuchino4868 600 is just labor i think the they quoted me like $1,100 or something when the parts cost about $150-200 lol
@@Miko3IS Lexus quoted me 700$ in total parts And Labor I’ll gladly have them do this. I have zero tools and if I drop a screw in there I’m dead
@@cuppuchino4868 Thats not bad at all!
