Appears that you over tightened the oil filter. Rule is once the o ring sits on bas, 1.5 turns should do it. That is why the old filter was damaged when you took it off. You also didn't use a torque wrench. How did you figure out the torque?

Great education. I recently did this job on my Auris 1.8 Hybrid 2013 with 90 000 km and its a very similar job. The fluid was not in the best shape. Red but not clear like the new fluid. Now im planning to do the same service on my 2021 RAV4 Prime with 130 000km. This also has the P810 transaxel. The official manual from Toyota is actually going through drain/fill twice. And also start engine, idle for 30s, and running cooling pump in Toyota Software between this two oil changes. Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Active Test > Control the Motor/Generator Cooling Oil Pump. This is of course not mandatory and i understand why you are not brining it up cause its better to change the oil once than not doing it at all. But maybe this is good information to someone who want to do a light flushing if the old oil is in really really bad shape. :)

Hi Viktor. Finally I was able to take the Complete dash off of the car using your video and another video. I did not want to break things so I used a multitool to just chip away little by little of the old dash. Now to put the new one back in I have encountered a problem. How do I remove the console side panel just under the gear seen here at 6:01 of your video. Problem is I have to remove the gear because the new panel cross bar passes under the gear. Thanks!

This video was very helpful. For those of you with a 2017 RX, the removal of the side panel is basically the same except you don't need to separate the top and lower half of the panel to reinstall. Also the interior of the door doesn't have the protective vapor barrier plastic sheet. Instead, it has a solid plastic panel that is just held in place with some clips. Much cleaner and easier to access the actuator. It's a tight fit to remove the actuator because of the window rail but just be patient and you can wiggle it through.

Thank you Viktor for your video, it worked good on my 2020 Lexus NX 300, with the difference that I had to put the jumper 4 spaces from the Left and I had to press down on the brake pedal to release the parking brake motor, just as you said it may happen with the newer models. Luckily I had no fault code. Thanks again!!

There have been some changes to the van for 2025. Can you absolutely confirm that the middle seats can be removed and a dongle to fool the computer SRS ?? We really want to replace our Odyssey with a Sienna and remove the seats. I am all set with the mechanical process, it’s just the electrical/computer that I am worried about.
