    I own a 2021 BMW 1250GSA and I still jump on my 2021 Xpect for my riding around town. My entire town is 25-35mph so this is plenty. I find it more fun to drive around town then the BMW. I'm actually putting a large rear sprocket ( a JT 50 tooth). When I purchased mine in May 21' it was $1700, $2000 shipped at my door. I put the handlebar and controls on and changed the oil and haven't looked back since.

    I have the same one and color. Bought in August from Powersports Max in California. Delivered to my house in Jersey, I put a few pieces on and was riding. Registered and insured. Great 1st bike. have not rode in 40 years.

    After looking at these for years, I finally ordered one. No more beating my Grom and ADV 150 on trails. I don’t ride hard on trails but I also can’t shy away from a trail. Just having taller wheels and more clearance will be huge. Pretty excited to add another bike to the stable, especially as cheap as it is.

    My local Honda dealer has been selling these because they can't get Honda inventory. 😂

    I'm currently on the hunt. I'm happy to see more people not paying fortunes for those "other" bikes.
    Their prices are getting insane. And I hope they realize it.
    The reason for it is because people are willing to pay that much, and it hurts the guys that can't afford or justify buying a $11,000.00 motorcycle...

    Maybe you can re route the oil drip to the chain lol, check your pcv system, if it's blocked it can cause oil leaks, blown seals, excess oil consumption.

      Both the Spitfire Slipstreamer windshield and the Airhawk 2 seat cushion are on Amazon. I bought them both at a local dealership though.

    • @gypsymedic5402
      @gypsymedic5402  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question. In my mind, the X-Pect is fine IF you can do some, or most, of any work it needs. I learned how to adjust valves, which was nice. Because I had to, though. It was blowing oil out through the breather tube and then out of the drains on the breather box. If this was a new Kawasaki or Honda, then I would have had it fixed under warranty. I think for the money it's been fine but an XL150 might be more attractive to others for those reasons.

    • @billyschannel997
      @billyschannel997 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@gypsymedic5402 I wouldn’t be too concerned if it was just valve adjustments. But some other reviews state other major issues like the ECU and 4th gear not working. The quality control isn’t there it’d be just my luck I get a lemon. Though I’m considering taking the gamble, I’ve seen some 150s marked up to $5,000. At that point I’ll buy a used ninja. But for my first street legal bike it’s going to get beat up. The main reason I want something cheap😂

  • @Jebusite100

    Why do you have to adjust the valves?

    • @gypsymedic5402
      @gypsymedic5402  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There appear to be several reasons. 1-Consistency from the factory doesn't seem good
      2-As it breaks in they need to be tweaked and I think that's fairly common for most bikes
      3-they get set tight (this is a theory I read before I bought it) to help lean it out for California requirements.

    • @Jebusite100
      @Jebusite100 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gypsymedic5402 That doesn't make sense because this bike can't be sold to California, according to the Amazon page. This bike doesn't meet California requirements.

    • @grominwithrob1339
      @grominwithrob1339 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most bikes and small engines will need valve adjustments. I have a built Grom that needs them every 600-800miles because the exhaust side gets tight. Valve adjustment really makes them start easy and opens up the top end.
