Super smart marketing releasing this so soon after the DJI FPV. Well engineered, under 250, & durable make this a perfect 2nd quad for DJI FPVers (or maybe a perfect first quad instead of that).
9:15 that is the key about the sub250 class, you pretty much need to be on the throttle when entering a maneuver. For sure it's a different flying style. Great review!
Nice, just wish there was better motor protection to accommodate wider stator motors. Betting top mount battery makes it more agile. Can you comment on that aspect?
Those are both kinda different. Not sure what your goals are. If you're looking for longer flight times, go with the Chimera4. More sporty, more freestyle, go for the Babyhawk2.
Like the new version Babyhawk, but was concerned about the Nebula Pro Camera. However, it looks ok in your second flight video. Can it provide 16 x 9 field of view?
This comes as a PNP so no receiver. However, you can bind the DJI controller to the Vista. DJI has videos on their channel on how to bind their equipment.
@@AlbertKimTV Checked both. At first glance nothing wrong with them. Is there any way to tell which of the two is faulty? I only have one goggle and 1 caddx vista polar camera!
Great Video, Albert! Can you please make a recommendation on the best way to attach a naked go pro, beta V2 mount to the Emax BabyHawk II HD? Any help would be most appreciated.
I bought these 3.5” props for use on my HGLRC Sector 150 with the prop guards and 3” props removed similar to the way you can remove the 2.5” props and prop guards from the HGLRC Sector 132 and replace them with 3” props.
I've had my Babyhawk II HD for about 2 weeks now. I surely *love* the digital FPV with DJI goggles (tbh, that's the main reason I bought it). As for the drone, I was a bit disappointed that the FC had no spare UARTS cuz I wanted to add a GPS, so I swapped the FC for an iFlight Beast H7 and added a BN220 GPS and Crossfire nano RX to make this a pseudo LR. It's a lot of fun to fly but take that fwiw cuz I'm very much a noob. Even with the GPS (and some minor mods), I am still under 250g with 4s/850, although I fly mostly with 4s/650. As for the FC that comes with this quad, I think it's super cheap. I thought I'd use it in a practice basher in a different frame with a Rush Tiny Tank and nano RX but it seems it couldn't supply enough power...??? Perhaps eventually I'll find something that it's good for. ;)
They put in a cheaper FC because most people won't use it like you and they don't want to charge everyone else more for the quad for features they won't be using. Majority rules...
I´ve just received mine...its a 4" Long range set up in a freestyle frame.... but lacks real power for freestyle!! I think it's only a cruising drone👎🏻
Its a 3.5?? Emax going backwards with this! Wheres the nice carbon overlays they have been doing since the OG Hawk days and just the frame in general seems a step backwards? Not to mention an F4?? Come on Emax...

definetly interested to see a video on this on 650 and naked go pro/smo4k to see how it flies and how long staying below 250g
9:15 that is the key about the sub250 class, you pretty much need to be on the throttle when entering a maneuver. For sure it's a different flying style.
Great review!
Yeah, you have to learn how to fly it differently because of the lower momentum of less weight.
How long does this fly on a 3000mah 4S Li-ion pack?
Awesome flying and review, Albert!!! 😃
Pretty interesting little quad! I like it! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Awesome little 4” 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks. I was gonna go for 850, but now i'll probably get the 650mahs.
Great review. Really like the frame. Very versatile build, durable, efficient, quick. I'd fly it. 👍💖🤓
Nice, just wish there was better motor protection to accommodate wider stator motors. Betting top mount battery makes it more agile. Can you comment on that aspect?
This looks pretty interesting. I was looking forward to the links to the other flights with the 650 and maybe a higher camera angle.
I picked one up but damned if I can find any extra props anywhere for it! Maybe they are just low in stock atm since it's new?
Props will become available later as production ramps up.
@@AlbertKimTV Hopefully it’s sooner than later. Mine arrives this Saturday and so I’ll only have one set of props to fly with🤦♂️
Looks like a perfect semi beginner FPV for someone having a lot of SIM training to get their teeth into :)
God damn, you took the words out of my mouth. Now i HAVE to buy it.
I'd love to see an analog version - did they tell you anything about that?
No mention of an analog version but I wouldn't rule it out.
Nice review. Those 3.5" props have been out forever. I run them on my Twig XL.
I like the ones on my tinyhawk II freestyle. Rips on a 2s 650.
@@shadowofchaos8932 yep, the 2.5” Avan Rush are easily my favorite prop in that class.
@@TitanFPV I didn't notice until I used a different prop. Switched back after ordering 3 new sets, lol.
if you had to pick a fun beginner drone for freestyle which one would you chose ?
If I had to choose, I'd go for super cheap in case I break it. Yesterday's video on the Darwin79.
What you recommend I go with, the babyhawk 2 hd or the iflight chimera4 hd ?
Those are both kinda different. Not sure what your goals are. If you're looking for longer flight times, go with the Chimera4. More sporty, more freestyle, go for the Babyhawk2.
@@AlbertKimTV ah ok There’s clips of babyhawk 2 doing 18-20 min flight time in cruising tho , thanks
Just flew Mines Today yes its good very very good 650 4s all day 😃😃😄
Excellente vidéo 👌🏻👍🏻👌🏻
Thanks for the review!
My pleasure!
Like the new version Babyhawk, but was concerned about the Nebula Pro Camera. However, it looks ok in your second flight video. Can it provide 16 x 9 field of view?
It can switch from 16x9 and 4x3 modes just like the original DJI camera.
@@AlbertKimTV Thanks for that quick answer!!
where is the bind botton on this
This comes as a PNP so no receiver. However, you can bind the DJI controller to the Vista. DJI has videos on their channel on how to bind their equipment.
@@AlbertKimTV I bought the one that come with the d8 mode Transmitter,, having troubles connecting to the controller
@@AlbertKimTV hi if the pnp comes without a rx, how do I connect a crossfire nano rx?

Does anyone else have proglems with the range of the dji polar camera on this drone. I only get 250 meters ( 820feet ) before the signal is very weak.
It's not the camera. You have a bad antenna connection on the drone or your goggles.
@@AlbertKimTV Checked both. At first glance nothing wrong with them. Is there any way to tell which of the two is faulty? I only have one goggle and 1 caddx vista polar camera!
@@AlbertKimTV I enable FCC mode and now i have al lot more range.
Does 4 inch prop fit in this quad? Thx in adv.
No 4 inch won't fit.
what will happen if i plugged in 4s 1500mah ? is it safe to fly with that battery?
I'm not sure. It will fly but might be too heavy. Try it and fly for about 20-30 seconds and see if your motors are hot. If not, it's probably OK.
How does this compare to the Tinyhawk FreeStyle 2 and is it overkill for someone w/ medium-level experience?
You can graduate quickly to this! Just know it will move faster.
I'd be interested in more videos on this. Wonder what the flight time and handling would be like with a GoPro on it (naked and full-size).
I don't think the difference will be huge. The difference in battery weight will make a bigger difference.
Will this only fly with Dji googles?
Yes
Cool review 👍.. seems to fly nice.. l think the tinyhawk freestyle might be better..
Great Video, Albert! Can you please make a recommendation on the best way to attach a naked go pro, beta V2 mount to the Emax BabyHawk II HD? Any help would be most appreciated.
Emax has a 3D prints on their website. bit.ly/30JWDmA

This or the Roma L3?
This for more flight time. Roma L3 if I had to go analog.
Love my Torque FPV Hornet which is 3". This is a good size for HD. Would rather build than buy Emax though. Great for those who are starting out.
Is it possible to fit a 4” prop on it?
This or the geprc 3.5?
Both are great and fly about the same. Get which ever one looks nicer to you or is cheaper in price.

The good thing is that you can have more batteries for less and a 4s2p 18650 pack can charge 8 650mah packs on your backpack
