can we just take a moment to respect tommy. I know alot of people also design their own unique frames but you can really see how much passion he puts into his work.
Just finished my 6S 2fiddy build a few days ago. This thing Rips! Tommy did a great job on this 👌I slapped on a naked gopro if you want to check out that footage...
Maybe in your next video you could suggest other pilots to learn from for the lighter quads like this and even 3" and 4". I've never flown a heavy quad and as you say, some tricks are very different with a sub 250, or even sub 150. Hopefully someone will do a lightweight quad trick tutorial series.
@@codyfournellcsrf5164 I'd get the 2fiddy....or if you're looking for a good bind n fly I'd seriously consider the brand new Diatone Roma V2 they just came out with last week. I have the version one and absolutely love it!! My favorite frame is the Moongoat if you're looking to build something. Just my thoughts/opinions. Good luck
I like it. Loved Tommy's series on this frame . I don't care so much about the 250g weight limit. I like the performance potential. Agility 👍This may be my first build after getting the dji goggles. Happy flying 💖😎
Thank you, this one is absolutely on place one of my to get list. The new Tattu R-Line 550 4S also seem to be a good fit for this one. I tried one on my 3 Inch Tadpole lately before winter came back and the difference to the 450 BetaFPV and Tattus is night and day. Much less voltage drop and they are only 8 to 9 gramms heavier. The power delivery almost completely makes up the weight difference as far as I can tell with the limited experience I have with them up to now.
Well, things have certainly improved drastically. Remember, BetaFPV XKnight (flimsy frame), with 1506 motors (too low torque). Before anybody says it... its 180g WITH DJI Air. That's an accomplishment in itself.
I have some 1905 airblade motors at 2400kv that I might try on this. They weigh about 17.5 grams though but since I am analog I think it will work out. Looks great.
Excellent review I feel you were very honest I have a ton of respect for Tommy as a pilot and a designer and I was curious to see what other pilots and reviewer’s would have to say about it after flying it I feel your review was very honest excellent video thank you for your hard work.
I have had one of these on preorder for a long time, really looking forward to it. All the parts are put aside just waiting for the frame, including the iFlight Beast AIO (which I hope is as robust as it claims)...
I prepaid for this frame over a month ago. I bought his 4s 2004/2400kv motors as soon as they where released. I have a brand new Vista & Beast F7 FC ready for this build. I'm excited over this build. I'm really hoping hes going to ship these preorders out soon. I was told by email that some of the parts had to be remade. Fingers crossed I'll get the frame soon😀 Good little review Albert. I be curious about your tune? Or any RPM filters you might be using?
Ummagawd frame is as good as it can be for now. I ve watched his videos about developing it and even though we have no regulations for a 250 grams in my country, it’s really tempting getting one. I don’t think any police would try to weight any drones if they are under 250 grams, I really wonder how it works out in restricted countries. Maybe on production levels they could but I don’t know. Most of my encounters with police or any other spectators, it’s enough for me to give them a spectating screen and make a demo flight while talking about fpv lets me walk out nearly any situations. It’s a bad restriction though. Letting DJI selling their 1 kg brick to non flying folks while trying to limit real pilots on 250 grams. By the way why 250 grams in America? Don’t you guys use ounce or something for weight? 😂
It's a really cool looking frame. I haven't made the jump to digital yet as it's too expensive for my budget right now. I believe the new version uses the air unit to hold the rear of the frame together, so i couldn't use it. but still, it's quite impressive :)
What’s up brother had a question for you about the frame. Would a 20x20 stack fit or dose it have to be a AIO other question would be can I use like a regular 1500 4s battery on there if I don’t care much for the sub250? Thank you so much for your content man have learned a lot.
20x20 will fit if it's not too tall. You can use any battery you want if you don't care about the weight. At some point, if it's too heavy, it will start to perform poorly. Then you'll probably want to go with something lighter.
Going from FPVDJI drone too small quads very new to all of this. Never heard of the all-in-one Modular chip whatever you call it. Does that mean I just need the caddx Vista And a frsky receiver along with the all in one? I know how to solder But never have done small PC boards. lot to learn Love your videos
If you're coming from the DJI FPV drone, I would not recommend building at first. That's way too much to learn all at once. Get a BNF from iFlight or Diatone that has the DJI FPV system and you'll also need a controller. This topic is huge so I'll have to make a series of videos to cover how to transition as I can't explain it here.
@@AlbertKimTV That’s exactly what I did I bought a Diatone Roma L3 will a Caddx, a QX7 receiver. They have not come in yet so I’ve been spending my time watching your video series and several others. I wish it could be outlined in the steps such as upgrade radio firmware installed a software about software etc. etc. I think I have it in my mind right now but I’m still reading thanks for your videos
Let's say I want to use this frame regardless of rate, are the 2004 motors on 4s enough to easily life a full size Gopro/osmo action? Or would you go with even larger motors?
Wow like. I'm expecting my Dave c minilr 5 to be 220g.. (with gps, tpu long antenna mount. Adds inch to already long antenna) I knew I should did aio and not these 20g stack with an extra lift to raise esc
Sorry, had to wait for the frame to come into stock. So many guys complain that when I release a video, they can't buy anything because it's out of stock. Although, this will probably sell out soon and be out of stock again. Can't win either way.
This one feels more balanced BG-wise with the battery on top versus everything in the center like a toothpick. For freestyle, this is the way to go. If you're gonna race, the X-Knight feels better for that type of flying.
@@AlbertKimTV Thanks! I'm really super surprised that a tiny 450mAh battery can supply enough amps for 5 inch motors and also give you 3-4 minutes of flight time. You would probably use something more like 4s 850mAh or 6s 550mAh for an X-Knight 5 kind of toothpick, which is similar weight. But I guess it's also much more power.
It's not bad because even at full throttle the motors aren't pulling a ton of current. You can see all the power loops I am doing and I'm not even at full throttle that much. I think these 2400kv motors are just more efficient than others out there.
Man I ended up with 4 new in box Brother Hobby 2004 1950kv motors I cant find a frame to put them in. Thinking about TBS pod racer 5 but keep second guessing myself... lol maybe this one.
