You can certainly do that if it works in your project, however, I also added glow and made parts of my body brighter to give the illusion of a bright flash.

@@JakeWipp Maybe it changed, because now if you try to register an account it immediately makes you select a payment plan. So I don't know what the point is of some effects saying they're free, you can't access them without paying for a subscription. That's not Jake's fault or anything, just saying.

I found it's better to use a Multi Merge node to do multiple flashes rather than duplicating a single Merge node.
3:01 How do you make the Glow appear only within the mask of the chormakeyed media1?
Cant see my mediain2 in the left window and it's not showing on the mediaout even after merge...
When i take of the greenscreen and then try to transform it some of the clip gets cropped away.

i fixed it, somehow the merge 1 node was gone so I only had merge 2 and 3 just deleted the merges and started them over

When I add the transform node, the muzzle flash disappears in the right hand viewer.
had a similar issue, check to make sure you didnt delete merge 1 as you need to have merge 1 for the other merges to work
i did pretty much the same but i'm animating an SMG with a burst of 15 bullets... i have way too many merge nodes because of that...
Jake, you should really consider doing all of this compositing in a Linear colourspace. You'll get far better result.

I did this without fusion lol, you can simply use inspector scaling thats it.

@Jake Wipp yea I tried the glow but didn't wanted to make it look artificial so I lowered the saturation and it works for me

The free muzzle effect isn’t free it keeps making me try to buy a subscription and I can’t download it
You will still have to make an account to get the free one but you can select the option so you don't have to pay anything.

for some reason the color corrector nod is only effecting the entire clip, I have the bslpine connected and its ignoring it.
