If you change it to "FRAME" before you hit track, it'll stop each time it fails so you can readjust it. It's easier. Let me know if you gave it a try. ;)
The most valuable thing for me, as a video editor beginner, is that you explain what you are typing to edit the video, like "hold alt", "type R now", and also showing step by step where you should go to get to the tool. Thank you!
I'm from Brazil, this channel is a precious pearl for the editors of Davinci, I don't speak English, I watch everything reading the subtitles, it's a lot of work to press pause all the time to read and at the same time follow the instructions, but it's worth it, because here in Brazil most editors use Premiere, there is little content from davinci, your channel is raising my level, thank you very much. And always leave subtitles on your videos please
I've learned that blasting your clip with contrast and saturation, it really helps with the tracking because a lot of the pixels become clusters of color that are easier to track than a bunch of different colored pixels
I'm french and I'm not really good in English but thanks to your good explainations I've been able to understand almost the whole tricks in this video. Thank you!
That One Tipp with the Switch from CLIP to FRAME helped me a lot, I was not getting the dots to stay in place. Thank you for all your videos. I've just started editing and it's really easy to understand due to your explanations
I've always been a fan of effects in photos and videos, and the ones you present in your video really add a special touch to each image, totally transform the way you perceive them, and the best thing is that they can be applied easily. Thanks for sharing these tools on your channel, I'll be watching your next videos for more guides, tutorials and recommendations. Keep going.
Hey Billy! I work in an education center, and now working on "online system" of education so need record some really interesting and simple video lessons. I'm using Davinci Resolve and for me, your tutorials are so simple, interesting and just AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for these amazing videos! Also, I would to ask some help, some ideas about how to create interesting video lessons of English… I would be realy grateful if you help me!
Masking + tracking + blur-or-similar is stupid easy, really. And I'm saying that as a migrant from Movie Studio struggling with many other things. But this is a killer feature, because previously it was "duplicate, mask, this and that, keyframe manually..." it was terrible. Resolve tracking for things like license plates is totally awesome!
####nice video dude....cos of you only i changed from premier pro to davinci resolve....i watched mostly of your video dude..... you teaching knowledge is helping me lot ......soon you will get more subscriber....need more tutorial from you billy rybka ......
Maybe mention the key combination for those who don't have a middle mouse button, or use a Mac mouse? Also can you please zoom in for CU of detailed interface tasks. People watching on a TV or mobile device can't see the detail unless you zoom in. Thanks for great tips. Subscribed!
Im curious how text are placed behind moving objects or moving people or liquids. Hope you can do a video about it soon. Thanks and best of luck to you and your channel.
cover popular masking effects for rap music videos. the masking transition is the most popular effect to do for music videos in premiere and after effects. there's a lot to cover since in our world, we keep re-imagining the same transition with all sorts of variations.
Hi Billy. Now that DaVinci Resolve version 18 is available could you maybe show us the best way to create your awesome 2.5D effect using the Object mask in version 18? Thanks.
I would like an effect where you have a piece of string lowering some text from top of screen to the centre with the text spinning as it comes down then finally the text stops spinning and the string disappears. Are you up for this challenge Billy ? By the way I love your explanations they are so easy to follow and you deliver the content with such enthusiasm, :-)
A tip to speed up Resolve if it is running a little slow. Open Task Manager -> Goto Details tab -> right click over resolve.exe -> Select Set Prioty -> change it to High.
Lots of great info here. So here's a suggestion for a future vid for you. I have a short video clip I took on the Sound side of the Outer Banks of NC 15 minutes or so before sunset. At some part of the clip, a fly comes into the frame from the sky, down across the water and onto the ground area of the video. How would you track and at the same time mask the fly out?
Hey Billy! I was wondering if you could make a tutorial on how to do gaming subtitles for whenever people speak in gaming videos the text animation pops up.
@@BillyRybka Hey did you manage to do this by any chance? atm im just adding text effect over the video and editing it and clipping it, but im sure there must be a better option?
For the life of me, I can't figure out how to keyframe multiple masks on the same clip. I'm trying to animate two masks on the same clip. Any suggestions? Thanks for the vid. You make great tutorials.
Love your tutorials. I tried to do the 2,5D masking but when I connect the alpha channel, the black bars only show from the moment of the actual effect (I used key frame masking as the movement was very fast and tracking did not work so well). However, of course the black bars should be there from the start. Any idea?
I've sometimes had issues with different sized videos, like they're not transparent outside their content, and I'm using the alpha output. Then I'm adding the alpha input, dragging it to the input of the node. Yes, alpha and video go into the same node input. I don't know if this is actually related to your problem but is quite useful.
@@BillyRybka sorry I wasn't clear. When you tracking the Church roof you going all way forward and after correcting frames. What if make a few in the middle of the shot and track half way forward and half way back. Wouldn't it be more precise and less corrections.?
Your videos are a god send buddy. Thanks for sharing. Quick question: I always seem to lose a few frames when I use davinci resolve. A few seconds of footage just disappears. I cannot put my finger on it. Any ideas?
Hi Billy. Great tutorial. I'd like to get a tutorial dissolving text into smoke which will be blown away by some wind or a bullet that flies across. I already tried to build that in Blender with fairly efforts and a not so good result. Do you think that's possible in Fusion? Best wishes from Germany!
Hey Billy, thank you for the video! I will be using ALL of these in the future! I was wondering where you got the video clips from or if you filmed them yourself.
Question: So I want to have text fixed to a wall (no camera movement), with people/objects moving in front of the text. Would applying this effect be the same or similar to the 2.5D effect with the church? If not, how would I go about getting this kind of effect?
If you change it to "FRAME" before you hit track, it'll stop each time it fails so you can readjust it. It's easier. Let me know if you gave it a try. ;)
Thanks for that tip.
You can also use magic mask and you don't need to do any of this. ;-)
