  • Today we christened our new little tinny "Salty"
May we have many safe adventures and lots of fun times ahead.
This is the 1st time we put "Salty" into the water and I must say, for a roof top tinny, there is no compromise.
This amazing tinny has a flat bottom for stability, and a pointed bow to cut thru the chop. Also a little higher sides to keep you safe when the crocodiles are out and about.
Thank you Sea Jay for designing an awesome boat.
They say the Suzuki outboard motors start 1st go...and yes it did.
Come along with us for the 1st of many adventures in "Salty"

Hi Alan - thank you for watching our video.
Yes I must agree with you, it was certainly time to put Salty into the water.
Unfortunately I don’t have an excuse other than working full time gets in the way of adventures - lol
Thank you for following us and supporting us, it means a lot.

Hey mate how’s the fuel consumption on the 1500 sorry if you’ve been asked that a lot but I’m Newcastle based and figuring out if that’s the car for me using it for work and play so driving down to Sydney a bit and just wondering if that would be the right car for that and touring with the family kids live the look of them cheers

Hi Johnny thank you for watching our video.
When I first purchased and before adding a number of options, I was averaging high 10’s to low 11’s on the highway. This is due to the engine dropping back to 4 cylinders while cruising.
Adding the AT tyres added an additional litre or so, the weight of the Bullbar, Adventure Rack have resulted in now averaging high 13’s to low 14s
The slightly larger size certainly makes it more comfortable and the ease of driving makes it amazing.
If you are considering a RAM, arrange a test drive at a local dealer. You will be blown away on how amazing they really are.

Hi Dahle, thank you for watching our video and your kind words.
Well spotted about the Fire Extinguisher.
Yes a fire extinguisher is definitely one of the listed safety items. However in our case, we do not require one.
Straight from the NSW Boating Handbook
      …………………………………………………..
      Fire extinguishers
If your boat has an electric start, electric engine, battery, gas installation or fuel stove, you must carry a fire extinguisher.
You must carry additional fire extinguishers if you:
      • carry flammable liquids below deck • carry LPG or other flammable gas • have sleeping accommodation.
Fire extinguishers must be securely fixed in place and easy to find. Recommended places are:
      • steering position
      • galley area
      • engine compartment.
      ……………………………………
Since we don’t have an electric start or an electric engine or a battery or a gas / fuel stove, we don’t require one.
That certainly doesn’t mean that we couldn’t carry one.
And since you have highlighted the topic, and thinking about it, I will now probably purchase one.
I suppose it’s also similar to carrying one in the car……you may not need it yourself however you may come across someone who does need it during an emergency
      I really appreciate your comment
