I have the 70 Yamaha as well on a similar sized boat, I am wondering roughly what the revs are when you doing your typical cruising speed? trying to figure out if I am sitting mine in the sweet spot or not? have only had it a short time and am looking at getting the most out of it. its been an amazing motor so far

Thanks mate, it's a perfect platform for the bay and rivers, we just had it 70kms off Cairns on the outer reef no worries, as for getting wet the only time I've got spray is when it's proper wild weather, and you would get wet in any open boat 👍

@@MrCal93h its up to you mate but id go this every time, there so solid and well built, the amount of bracing under the floor is crazy, ive had it in some crazy weather and ive never once felt unsafe in it

Not too sure mate, prices have changed alot over the last 2 years aswell, I'd just give em a call, well worth having it on

I usually sit around 4500 cruising then 5000 if I'm getting to a spot quick, that seems to be the sweet spot

I think you mentioned you were going to talk about prop size. What was the size of your original prop and what size is the prop you have now?
Hey mate the prop is a 13 1/2 x 15-k. Not sure what the previous was, this will give you good all round performance
Thanks, I have also just changed from the 13 5/8 x 14 prop to the 13 1/2 x 15 on my Quintrex, but I have yet to take it out.@@TidesofAdventure

Pretty shallow mate, 0.3 it will float, and ive had it on the plain over a bank at Lucinda and it was 0.3 aswell
