Did you know that in modern engines that 10-20% of old oil will remain in the engine. You are seeing the old oil mix with new. Every oil change I perform a double oil change to get 99% of old oil out. The flush oil I use twice. It will last a full 10k miles and probably last 15k. A few years ago, I did a similar test, except I did three oil changes in a row, until it came out clean after 20 minutes of run time. Then I used the Amsoil Flush. No change in color and no sludge or carbon. The engine had 190k miles. I even had an oil analysis, it was as clean as it came out of bottle. The flush had no affect. Amsoil makes a superior oil but additve products I dont use. Just flush with clean oil, and the new oil will do a much better job at cleaning and protecting. BTW, ive been analyzing my oil for 35 years. It has alerted me several potential, very expensive problems and I was able to correct in time.
I've been using Amsoil for years and love it. I used the flush in my son's Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and it cleaned that dirty engine up pretty good! My 2009 Nissan Altima I only use Amsoil, but I only change it once a year as I only drive around 3-4 k. The only oil filter I ever use is the Purolator Boss. They are extremely good filters! I use Purolator One for the air filter. Great video btw! Appreciate your efforts

Purolator is the only company I'm aware of that will do this - 100% transparency.
