    Did you know a oil manufacturer can call a lubricant a Full Synthetic when it's only 25% synthetic? AMSOIL is different because it is 100% Synthetic and has a higher film strength keeping the metal parts separated. AMSOIL allows less friction, less heat, less wear on the component. AMSOIL Signature Series motor oil will last 25,000 miles on 1 oil change!

      LOL my uncle owns 6 semis and has several millions miles logged. He's always used rotella t4 and recently t6. The 2 oldest trucks have the original engines with 1.2 and 1.3 million miles on nothing but Rotella t4 and they are still running local routes every week. Regardless of what you choose to run, keep it changed and your vehicle will be good to you

      That's awesome Mike definitely a great product👍
      How Amsoil is different is its 100% synthetic has a much higher film strength keeping the metal Parts separated less frictionless heat less wear on the component and if you ever want to try the products this would give you the very best value as the 6-month preferred customer and I would always be able to answer your questions in the future about improving the performance and lifespan of your vehicles by choosing the right fluids as your independent Amsoil dealer👍

    If I may make a couple suggestions for future product review videos.
    1. Do a true before and after. Remove the dirty oil, replace it with clean oil + flush so we see the color change from the deposits being broken down.
    2. For a true before and after on the filter and oil quality take a sample of the old oil and send it for analysis. After you change the new oil with the new filter take a sample and send it for analysis.
    3. Then compare the results to see if its really better.
    As it currently stands this video is just an info-commercial for AMSOIL products (which I currently use in my truck and hot rod). Add some science and gain some credibility in my opinion.

    Regular (5K mile) oil changes with Pennzoil Ultra is all you need. This expensive stuff performs just about as well, watch Project Farm.

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The Amsoil signature series is less than half the price then the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum because you can drive further on an oil change.
      Also the oil filtration idioms oil makes is superior and you will get less wear on your pistons and cams then using the Pennzoil because the oil filters flow faster at startup and the hundred percent synthetic also has a higher pressure film strength.
      The price that you saw was retail as an Amsoil preferred customer the motor oil is less money than the Pennzoil because as a preferred customer you get 25% off and free shipping on any order $100 or more.

      It's a joke that all of these people know about it and refuse to use it after seeing our testimonials. Everyone on here is so ignorant. Here we are telling everyone how good it is and they still refuse to use it. And what gets me, they have no real reason for using what they are using!!! They keep using their old oils all because somebody else used it or because it's what they have been using for a long time. That is NOT a good enough reason to stick with something. I am loyal to nobody. If your product is proven to be better, I'm switching to it. And Amsoil has went through all the trouble to pay for ASTM testing to show solid proof that their oils are the better value. That was plenty to convince me. I am not special. If I can switch to this oil after seeing the ASTM testing, EVERYBODY SHOULD!

    I just changed the 5 speed manual transmission fluid in my 2013 Toyota Tacoma to Amsoil 75w90 gl-4 gear lube and let me tell you it shifts so much smoother and is not as stiff as it was with the factory lube especially in the morning when everything is cold, I also serviced the transfer case and rear differential, next will be the front diff when I get around to it. I used the 75w90 severe gear lube for the differential. Amsoil is an amazing product.

    For someone that is attempting to present himself as knowing all things related to vehicle maintenance I am surprised you didn’t know that you don’t have to prefill an oil filter. All you have to do is flood start the car. Put the gas pedal all the way to the floor and then attempt to start the car for 10 seconds. The computer will not allow the car to start but the oil filter will get filled. This only works on fuel injected cars.

    Although I like Amsoil, the PurolatorOne does not last as long, but it's better at filtering. It's a 99% filter at 15 microns, but is only good for 10,000 miles. If you have a new car or are breaking in a rebuild, the Purolator is a better choice as you shouldn't go past 5,000 for the first oil change anyway, regardless of the oil you use. After that, you can go to longer intervals with a higher mileage / larger micron filter like the Amsoil. (I'd swap out the stock filter immediately with a new car regardless of the mileage and just top off the oil, then run it to break it in)
    Why I like Amsoil. When I went from the stock differential oil to Severe Gear and used Amsoil ATF to replace the sock synthetic transfer case ATF in my Frontier Pro-4X, the free rolling characteristics were noticeably better and transferring from 2WD to 4HI and 4LO happened much quicker. Was very happy with the changes.

So I figure I might give it a try with the flush and signature a go. It's either 90 bucks or 6k 😂 what do I have to loose 😂😂

    I've heard an oil flush is not a good idea in a vehicle with such high mileage. Do you not risk springing leaks? Probably just best continuing with oil changes as usual. I'd be curious to know any updates with this truck, ie whether any new leaks, oil consumption, or other problems have occurred.

    I have been using Walmart Supertech synthetic oil along with a Wix filter at every oil change for the past 4 years. At $15.99 a 5 quart jug 5w20, it’s a steal. How does supertech compare to Amsoil?

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Amsoil is about 2 to 4 times less money.
      You'll save about $100 in gas in 10,000 miles on the average SUV because the hundred percent synthetic Flo's with less parasitic drag in the crankcase and it'll also be much smoother and make more power.
      You will have about one-third of the wear and the Pistons and cams so you'll make more compression.
      Also you'll only do one oil change instead of 3 to 5 oil changes.
      That'll save you about 5 to 7 hours of Labor.
      So it's quite a bit of a difference this is the standard tests on it.
      Amsoil Signature Series 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil protects against harmful deposits on turbochargers 4X better than Mobil1® Extended Performance and 3.6X better than Royal Purple® in industry-standard testing*.

      It's just a lot more aware in the Pistons and cams using synthetic blend also you spend a lot more money and gas.

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This is a great question!
      Show all the full synthetic motor oils are a synthetic blend and they're usually about 70% synthetic or less and they are very very inexpensive lubricants and they break down quickly and they offer much much less protection and less temperature extremes incapabilities then 100% synthetic.
      Show 100% synthetic is all engineered for a specific application. 100% synthetic lubricants have a much higher film strength and they don't break down and oxidized like mineral oil because the molecule doesn't allow the carbon to stick to it like a refined mineral oil. 100% synthetic will protect your pistons and cams about two to four times better then a mineral oil. Also they flow with less parasitic drag so you will have better gas mileage.
      All the major motor oils in the stores in box stores are all synthetic blend Mobil 1 Pennzoil all of them.
      This Paints the picture of the superiority:
      AMSOIL Signature Series 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil protects against harmful deposits on turbochargers 4X better than Mobil1® Extended Performance and 3.6X better than Royal Purple® in industry-standard testing*.

      The term "Full Synthetic" is a result of a lawsuit and subsequent ruling of the Court. Full synthetics are still blends of synthetic base stocks and conventional base stocks but at a much higher ratio than "Synthetic Blend" oils. "100% Synthetic" is just that, 100%.

    SInce it is a 300k mile engine, wouldn't the flush be doing more damage than good? I've read on articles and heard from mechanics that the engine flush will cause leaks due to seals being weakened from the flush.

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a great question The flush actually helps the gaskets get oil circulation and get reconditioning from the motor oil when the sludge is covering it It basically is suffocating it so the flush will actually help it in the long run however if the gaskets are already cracked then it will reveal whatever cracks are there and it could leak if the gasket is already damaged.
      However the flush itself will not hurt the gasket at all and it's safe enough to do a flush every oil change.
      I always recommend doing an engine flush every single diesel oil change because of the high soot and keeping the turbo screen clean and keeping the oil cloaking away also on regular gas motors I recommend doing the engine flush when you switch over the first time to amsoil.

      awesome yeah it just depends on your mileage You know if you drive the car very little the AMS oil OE is good if you're doing over 10,000 miles a year I would just get the signature series that way you only change your oil once here you'll have less oil top off because you won't burn any oil also you'll get a lot better performance smoother idle faster starts less vibration and you'll also get a bump and fuel mileage.

    You dont need to flush just change the oil more. You do this and you take a chance of jamming up the oil pump pickup screen

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually what the flush does is it actually thins out the oil and the laminate sit and actually pulls the oil out of the oil screen and actually cleans the oil pump out.
      Also it pulls oil coking out of inside of the turbo so the turbo is cleaner and cools better because the oil is closer to the metal and there's less insulator which is the carbon so you actually have more power.
      I appreciate the comment Joseph and if you decide to try a engine flush let me know how your vehicle drives🤟🚘☕🇺🇸

    Amsoil OE is equivalent to most regular full synthetics. The Amsoil 7500 with a Mobil One or Royal Purple filter will go 7,500 miles and it's not as expensive as Signature oil which is high priced if you change it too often. I tried to get AMSOIL to test 7500 versus plain old style Mobil one and they are not interested. They really want to sell the Signature line. If they dropped the price of OE to compete with Mobil One I would use it with a FRAM 10,000 mile filter. That would make for a cheap oil change every 5000 miles.

      Hey Doug!
      Thanks for being a part of my TH-cam channel.
      I noticed you wanted to try the Amsoil Oe for less money which you can with MyLink well actually get you 25% off and free shipping on any order $100 or more as an Amsoil preferred customer it's less money than Mobil 1.
      Also the Amsoil OE is quite a bit better than mobil one because it's 100% synthetic where the mobile one is not 100% synthetic.
      You'll notice that the Amsoil OE will last longer your engine will run smoother and you'll actually have less drag in the motor getting you better gas mileage.
      If you're considering trying a oil change I also recommend doing a engine flush before you do the motor oil which gets all the carbon out of the Rings and any sludge that's inside the crankcase.
      Also another nice add to that is the Amsoil Pi performance improver which cleans the valves and the carbon deposits inside the combustion chamber restoring your engines efficiency and improving the fuel mileage and Power.

      I don't really have anything too special but I put a ton of my own work into it. I have a 2011 Chevy Malibu 1LT that I converted into an almost perfect LTZ clone except for the automatic climate controls, heck I even restored autodimming outside mirrors that were deleted from the LTZ versions after 2010. So it would only make sense to protect it with AmsOil. I will say that the engine runs really well. I can't say I notice a ton of changes with it but my gas mileage does seem to be a bit better with it and plus I want that extra protection as I want this car to last as long as possible.

      Yeah it's going to be cool to see the way the oil doesn't burn off like other oil as you go through the course of the year.
      Did you do a flush on it and put Pi performance improver in it?

    • @ViperJay5
      @ViperJay5 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did not do a flush on the Malibu actually, but I did add in two bottles of the PI Performance Improver over the course of the last two months. When it comes to fuel, I only use Shell or BP and maybe the occasional non-top tier fuel station if I have the rewards for almost a free tank of gas. Now, I'm going to be putting AmsOil XL in my 03 Impala and that I do plan to get a bottle of engine flush for it, especially considering it suffered from a blown head gasket about 7 years ago and even though it was repaired, it was obviously never cleaned.

    My car is :
    - Hyundai 2015 1.6.

    - Engine status is very good.
    - Oil inside is Wolver 15w40 semi Synthetic.
    - Our weather is very very hot in summer.
    * Can i convert to Amsoil 5w30 signature series directly after Amsoil Flush ?
    * Is that dangerous (from 15w40 to 5w30 directly) ?
    * Or should i use 10w30 or 5w40 or 10w40 ?

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct the full synthetic are mineral oil and synthetic mixed together and they have a much lower film strength also they burn off easier and they break down and sludge much quicker.
      Anytime you have contaminants added into a pure 100% synthetic you will have a sickening process and a breaking down of the lubricant.
      Forever 18 degrees hotter a motor oil runs it oxidizes twice as fast.
      So to put it into perspective this is a comparison of oils:
      AMSOIL Signature Series 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil protects against harmful deposits on turbochargers 4X better than Mobil1® Extended Performance and 3.6X better than Royal Purple® in industry-standard testing*.

      @@Interestingworld4567 Well that’s his opinion. Y’all can do what you want. I’ve spoken to engineers in the oil industry and they say it’s not the heat or cold that causes issues nor the shearing effects, especially in synthetics. What causes oil breakdown in all oils is the byproducts of combustion. Plus every time you shut off your engine small amounts of fuel left behind seep down into your oil pan. Hence why short trips require more changes. Short trips are bad due to the engine never getting and staying at temp. Think condensation here. As you may know, fuel and water are bad for oil. If you read a vehicles owners manual, almost all driving can be considered severe driving and require sooner changes. So I keep doing sooner changes and getting high mileage trouble free engines in my vehicles.

      Same for me I used to go about $2,500 miles with my Pontiac Grand Am the difference between Amsoil is 100% synthetic film strength and that's what keeps the metal Parts separated a oil manufacturer can call a full synthetic full synthetic when it's only 25% synthetic.

      Everyone does know that “synthetic” in motor oils just means it’s refined more then conventional. Most of your true synthetic oils are very hydroscopic and readily mix with water, which is a no go in open to atmosphere systems, and commonly used in HVAC systems and other closed systems where a regular oil change is not available. Motul is one of the very few oils that does have a legit synthetic oil line up. As a side note, you can not mix mineral oil and true synthetic oils (the oils will loose their better characteristics) so if your “synthetic” motor oil has an api seal it is readily mixable with any other motor oils with the api seal as well, under their standards, so you’d know that “synthetic” motor oil is not a true synthetic, just a more refined mineral oil.

      There is a difference is the cold flow additive packages will also flow better in the signature under cold conditions Those additives are extremely expensive and that's why the signature cost more also the signature series will not thicken as quickly because of the detergents and different specialty additives so there will always be a slight difference at the 5,000 mi interval however it's not enough to justify throwing away the signature series oil soon at 5,000 you would definitely want to run the OE if you were only going to do 5,000
