This is very nice that someone has actually made a video of the food we have here on the faroe islands, and I can already say that this video was not cheap to make, because Koks is very expensive and so is årastova, if you come another time there is now a food truck that's named Streetfood and it has dried ish meat that we call Ræst Kjøt and it's in burgers and it's amazing, so that's 100% recommended
Aarstova is around 600 per person. I have 4 years here and still havent been able to go. It looks so delicious 😭 but im so broke lol. Etika is my favorite 😍 w eiust had some of their sushi yesterday, i love that they deliver.
I cannot believe you went to the Faroe Islands, that is soooo inspiring! was it expensive to travel there? which airline did you take? ... wait john is the manager of both restaurants?
Hi There, my name is Raul from Seattle, and i am looking for SOFREY POULSEN, from Faroe Islands. we were old friends in Seattle back in the 90s then we lost contact when she went back to the Faroe Islands...any info i will appreciated. thanks
I was in the Faroe Islands in 2000 and the food was pretty awful. The last thing that the Faroese wanted to eat when they went out was fish or lamb, as they had these coming out of their ears. I wanted to try puffin but that was not available. There was no restaurant serving traditional dishes with the produce of the land. At one restaurant in Thorshavn I had a calzone pizza stuffed with spaghetti! My, it really seems that things have changed! 20 years ago hardly anyone went to the Faroes on holiday. Now it seeme to be very fashionable. I hope it doen't get like Iceland though with too many tourists. But the islands are just so beautiful so I don't suppose I'll be able to talk any more about Europe's 'hidden natural paradise'!
The resturant scene has changed alot the past 10 years, with alot of fine dining and using local resources. There are still a few steakhouses around, but the quality has changed alot. I would not go out for a bite 20 years ago either😊 I think it is beacause of two chefs that have worked abroad and wanted to open their own place here. I see these comments everywhere these days. So what if you are from a village or town,. It has nothing to do with the original post.
it's funny to see john as the manager of the 2nd restaurant, especially when i watch him wearing different outfit
My favorite country in the world. Been there 3 times already!
It's too my favorite country and I move there from Slovakia
How?! Me and my girlfriend are trying to move there now and it's very difficult.
protolexis damn, you should be a rich man then.
I lived there for 3 months. The joys of being European.
it all depends on where your from Europeans and Scandinavians is easy, all others not so much.
Well looks like Johns got the market cornered

yes sir! We took Atlantic Airways from Barcelona. Yes the island is a little pricey like most Scandinavian countries but its worth every penny!
Looks terrific, doesn't it? I want to go there too :)
I was expecting John to be the manager of the third restaurant :D
Its because its the same company that owns many of the restaurants in tórshavn, they actually own all three of the restaurants shown
SAS and Atlantic Airways fly to the Faroe.
Heyyy I remember you in the market of Yerevan, great !!!!!
Soft shell crab sushi rolls and whale stew. Life is just perfect. And beer of course.
Oh these Faroese! They all look the same to me
That John has done well for himself managing two restaurants.
Was the name Koks really a smart idea? well maybe now I never forget it. I want to go to Faroe Islands cause I like Koks...lol

Lol the same manager at 2 restaurants? How does that work?
He used to be my manager when I worked at (another one) of his restaurants. Short answer, he's a VERY busy man.
There is a room in the front and one in the back.
Means that he has opened a lot of restaurants
Does anybody serve steak or is lamb the only land food?
There's steak at a little place called "steak & grind"
You should try tarv very delisios but pretty expensive
Set the table, I'm coming for dinner.
Hmmm, I like John the manager's voice and accent. I could listen to him and dream in color.
TRuuuuueeeee😂😁😂😂😂
I want to test it 😊
