I would never go there. The most of the people on this island are killing thousands of dolphins on one day just for fun ( and "justify" it with their tradition ) It's so merciless, painful and sad. Nowadays studies show that dolphins / whales are more intelligent and feel more pain than we think.

Wow! I love the Faroe Islands since I was a young teenager on a 32-foot boat on the coast of Greenland fishing and hunting. I met fishermen from the Faroes there. They were as tough as us and nice. This was 50 years ago. I later named one of my sons after a skipper from Sandøy that I became close to. I always wanted to go but after this video, yes I definitely will!

@@raymondo162 I guess that means you wouldn't be stopping by my house for supper then. Regular fare is venison, raccoon, groundhog, bluegill, catfish, and carp. I just picked wild lettuce, dandelion, chickweed, and henbit for a 16 oz salad, eaten with home canned buffalo fish. I spend $20 a week on groceries. I don't have livestock so I still buy my milk, butter, spices etc.
When my 4 children were young at home, I was on the county road killed deer pickup list. Clean it within the hour and you'll be ok.
We hit a squirrel on the road one day and it did that energy release similar to a head shot. Sure enough, only the head was damaged and the squirrel was good to eat.
My brother and a friend have trouble with groundhogs and raccoons tearing stuff up. They box trap them and I eat them.
Pretty sure if I was in the Faroe Islands during the whale season, I'd pull the rope and help out. I'm pretty handy with a knife.
      Edit:spelling

The thing is, if there's one place you should try these local specialties, it's at Koks, because they know how to make it delicious, or at least, camouflage the odd flavors a bit. Whatever you do while on the Faroe Islands, don't eat whale blubber straight up. :S

Im from the Faroe islands. i live in suðuroy, you need to take smyril the big seafari to get there but its really nice there, you should go there its really remote island. and a nice scenery, and at a good day you can see all the islands its a really beautiful scenery. :) nice film and its nice that people know about the Faroe islands and its culture because not everyone knows about us really nice. and we do not have a big covid problem here so that is always nice too know. :)

DONT GO THERE. AND NOT WHEN IS DOLPHIN SEASON:
es un pais rico de primer mundo que se separo de la unon europea pero sigue bajo bandera dinamarquesa para poder explotar indiscriminadamente el oceano sin atenerse a las leyes de la union europea sobre depredacion. tremenda jugada. ademas hay 2 ovejas por cada habitante y es su otra mayor fuente de ingresos junto al turismo. gastaron 140 millones de euros en tuneles submarinos para rutas entre puebluchos de pocs habitantes porque les sobra el dinero.
THEY DOLPHIN KILLERS SHOOT A DRONE WITH A SHOTGUN WHEN SOMEONE TRYIED TO DOCUMENT THE MASS KILINGS OF CETACEANS IN FEROE.!!!
MASS KILINGS OF DOLPHINS IN SUFFERING EVERY YEAR....THEY DON´T EVEN EAT THEM AND THROW IT AWAY BECAUSE THEIR POPULATION IS VERY LOW !!! THEY HAVE SHEEP ALL OVER THE ISLAND. THEY SPENT 140 MILLON EUROS IN CAR TUNELS AND ROADS BUT THEY STILL SLAUGHTER DOLPHINS FOR MEAT HAVING SHEEP AND MONEY ?
THEY SAY IS TRADITION AND TEACH THEIR KIDS TO PUT AN AXE TO THE HEAD OF DOLPHINS ON THE BEACH. THEY KILLED 1500 LAST YEAR- BEASTS.
WE ARE NOT ALONE, PLEASE GO TO EVERY FAROE ISLAN TOURIST VIDEO AND COPY PASTE THIS:
An international Declaration of Rights for Cetaceans was formulated in 2010 declaring dolphins and whales as “persons” to be afforded “non-human rights”, including freedom of movement and residence and not to be killed, captured, bred, or enslaved. A subsequent global movement for cetacean rights was launched in 2012.Aug 3, 2017
PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT MASS MURDER IN FAROE ISLANDS AND GENOCIDE TO INOCENT CREATURES, WATCH THE VIDEO TO BE INFORMED. FAROE ISLAN HABITANTS ARE PART OF THIS IF THEY DON´T DO NOTHING ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM
VIDEO HERE. THEY ALSO SHOOT A DRONE TRYING TO DOCUMENT THE SLAUGHTERING IN OTHER VIDEO
