      how to support the actions against dolphin genocide in Faroe islands?

    • @FrozenMermaid666
      @FrozenMermaid666 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s true about the dolphins, but the best way to support a kind life is by living a vegan lifestyle and by recommending everyone the vegan lifestyle, so, by being kind to all beings from bees and chickens and birds and turkeys and butterflies and fishes to dolphins and lambs and all other animals and never plucking flowers and never felling trees and never mowing the lawn etc as flowers / trees / grasses are also living beings, by only buying plant-based products (technically, using the fruit of the plant such as fruits / beans / grains / rice / seeds / nuts as food doesn’t necessarily do anything negative against the plant, especially when done with care, so plant-based living is the kindest way of living that is practicable and possible at the moment, and if everyone lives a plant-based lifestyle, most plants are automatically saved as well, because most plants are always used for the billions of animals that are made to fall off the perch every year) and environment-friendly products and 2nd hand clothing items that are suitable and absolutely necessary, by always trying to let others know the truth etc - in certain ways, no country is perfect yet, mostly because of the fact that the ppl that live even in the most developed and greenest and cleanest and prettiest and most modern countries (namely all the Nordic / Germanic countries) aren’t living vegan yet, and because most of them have done or are trying to do śínñful things instead of living the right lifestyle such as that of monks and other enlightened beings, and also because of some of the other things such as unsuitable clothing (this unsuitable clothing problem is mostly in the US and the UK tho) and buying any other unsuitable items and / or doing or saying any unsuitable things in general, and some other things, though the Nordic countries (and also the other Germanic countries) themselves are perfect or almost perfect when it comes to many aspects, including the wonderful green nature and the heavenly languages (Icelandic / Norse / English / Dutch / Norwegian / Gothic / Faroese / Danish etc which are the prettiest languages ever) and the quality of life and the level of cleanliness and the freshness of the air etc, and also the aspect, because these countries also have the prettiest and most organized aspect with mostly beautiful green nature and great infrastructure and super clean roads and beautiful colors and mostly cute houses and modern new buildings that look gorgeous, being the most advanced and developed lands!

    • @FrozenMermaid666
      @FrozenMermaid666 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      By the way, all countries and everything else belong to nature and to Earth, not to ppl, so I usually don’t care if a country is controlled by another, but in this case, I do agree that The Faroes should be recognized as a country and treated as a different country (at least that) as it is technically a different country because it has a different language and is a group of islands which aren’t that close to Denmark, and the main reason for this is, because, due to the fact that it isn’t considered a different country with different language yet, it isn’t usually included in videos and Faroese is usually not included in language-related videos and isn’t even on G translate and Duolingo yet, which makes it a lot harder for one to learn Faroese fast, due to the very limited resources / yt videos teaching Faroese which is mostly due to the fact that it isn’t usually included in most videos, and this in turn is because most ppl that make the videos probably don’t even know about The Faroe Islands and have probably never heard of Faroese since The Faroes are considered part of Denmark and almost never included anywhere, and, as someone who’s trying to learn Faroese, I don’t like that Faroese and The Faroes aren’t usually included, like, one just cannot ignore them as if they weren’t there!
      So, I feel like each land and each region that has its own different language should be included and treated as a different country, including The Faroe Islands (where Faroese is spoken) and even Brittany (where Breton is spoken) and Galicia (where Galician is spoken) etc, so, it would be better if each country and each region and each city etc that has a different language would be treated as a different country and included with its own language in videos and if all Germanic languages and all Celtic languages and all other pretty languages were included on G translate!
      It would also be great if all Nordic / Germanic countries formed some type of union like The United Norse Germanic Lands (aka TUNGL which means Moon in Norse) that would use Norse and Gothic and English as the main languages that all ppl from all Nordic and Germanic countries would use as extra main languages 2gether with the language of each Nordic / Germanic country, so that one who is Norse / Germanic (especially myself) could easily live in and travel to and between any of these countries at any moment without having to show / have / get any documents and stuff like that, and also because this would be the best way to get the heavenly languages Norse and Gothic spoken anew by many, so, in that sense and for those reasons, they should be like one big union, kinda like The US, because the States are technically different countries as well, but they are all part of this union referred to as the United States of America, but, when it comes to videos and stuff like that, they should always be treated as different countries and the different languages from all these countries should always be included in language-related videos and travel videos and other kinds of videos, and it should be like that for the States as well, because they are still different countries due to how big these States are, even though the main language is English in all the States, and it should also be the same for all Spanish speaking countries and for the countries that speak Portuguese / Galician / Catalan / Gallo / Italian and other Italian-based and French-based languages, which should also form some kind of Latin union with a nice Latin name that would use Latin as the extra main language that all ppl from all Latin countries would use 2gether with the language from each Latin country and English which should be known by all ppl fluently, and there should also be a similar union for the lands and regions that speak the six modern Celtic languages, and, all European countries and all the US countries should also form an even bigger extra union, so that one can freely travel and move to any of those countries without having to show or to get any documents etc, because The US and Europe are mostly Germanic, anyway, so yea, it would be the most logical for it to be that way, in that sense!

    Funny story about the Faroe Islands. When I married my 1st husband, I knew it was a disaster only 6 weeks later. I was determined to get away as fast as I could, far, far , away. As a teacher, I applied to 2 jobs. The first one on Pitcairn, and the 2nd as a Head of music teaching on the Faroe islands. I got both! I decided I'd like the Faroes better. I already had a Danish personnummer, could speak reasonable Danish, so ready to go! They asked me if I could start next week! I never went as my then husband made all sorts of extravagant promises I was dumb enough to believe. To this day, I regret not just going to live in the Faroes.

      Its the lousy sea shepherd crew and their supporters who want you to think that we have something to hide, and do you want to know why ?
      Theyre actually quite smart. They want everyone to think its something we hide so that they can enter the island and "reveal" something "horrendous" during the well played and well edited lousy ridicuous shows, only so they can "document" something and gain money from it. Gain money from stupid emotional people like yourself, believing they actually exposed us when in reality we all are already openly speaking about it.
      Theyre gaining Millions of money from emotional stupid people like you whom they know will believe anything they try to brainwash you with.
      Have you ever thought about how much theyre actually disturbing the whales during the recordings of the show ? do you think they actually really care about the wellbeing of the whales ? they only go for the money unfortunately. Thats the sad truth. By sailing around the islands for the duration theyre doing only to "save" some whales is actually ruining the environemt even more than necessary. How much oil is spilled into the ocean by their rectless behaviour ??
      Their supporters are also extremely rude to local people when they enter the country. They have been brainwashed to think we are some barbaric primitive blood sucking awful people. Its obvious theyve been ordered to try to get into heated discussions with locals only to document some more how afwul we are.
      yes, there are some people who might take it personally unfortunately, but try to think about what the majority of the people think here. We will gladly talk to you about it. What about rather coming to our country and listen to what locals have to say ? I think thats better than listening to some foreigner who doesnt know well enough whats actually going on.

    • @ThatIcelandicDude
      @ThatIcelandicDude 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yes... a pretty big one. The Faroe island's had a referendum in the 40's where they actually voted on independence but Denmark declared it illegal and ignored the result. Since then the movement has changed. It now seeks to gain financial independence before declaring independence.

    • @Aoderic
      @Aoderic 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      The thing is that the Faroese people is divided on the independence question, and it has been around 50-50 for a long time.
      One of the reasons the 1946 referendum wasn't recognised as final, is that the result was 50,74% for and 49,26% against, to close so it could not stand alone.
      For the referendum to stand alone it needed a super majority of 2 thirds, or it would have to have a second referendum during the next government cycle that confirms the result.
      Compare the Icelandic referendum 2 years earlier 99,5% for independence 0,5% against, that result was immediately recognized.

    • @ThatIcelandicDude
      @ThatIcelandicDude 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Aoderic You are correct and I've always wondered why do you think the Icelanders were so much more decisive on their desire on independence. I mean they faced all the issues Faroe Islands would now and just about no one thought they could ever actually pull it off. So it begs the question what's the difference between the Faroe Ialands and Iceland in that regard. I mean I guess the sagas play a pretty big role in why Icelanders have and had such a strong national identity. But that cant be the only reason.

    • @Aoderic
      @Aoderic 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ThatIcelandicDude That's a hard question, and I can't say anything for sure. But could imagine (on top of what you said) that the size of the countries could be a factor, also the closeness to Denmark both in distance and intermarriages. And then there's the fact that Iceland had already gained home-rule in 1874, whereas the Faroe islands gained home-rule in 1948 as a consequence the referendum. One more thing, Iceland have (with the Althing) had a semi-independent legal system for most of their history.

    • @ThatIcelandicDude
      @ThatIcelandicDude 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Aoderic @Aoderic Well the size of the country was and still is one of Icelands biggest challenge with independence. A huge country and nowhere near enough people to properly maintain it. We have a huge road system, have to supply hospitals all around the country, police stations etc. The country is vast and very expensive. So from where I'm standing that's actually to Faroe islands benefit. Iceland gained home rule yes but I think that's more the result of them having a more aggressive independence movement than the cause of it.
      As far as I understand it the Løgting held local control over the island for just as long as the Icelandic Alþingi did over Iceland.
      All in all Faroe islands position has always been and likely continues to be very similar if not outright identical to Iceland's. Both had an ancient independent republic before falling under Norwegian rule, both struggled under Danish rule,Both have their own distinct language and culture and both had an independence movement around the same time. But whereas Icelanders became fanatically zealous in their quest for independence, The faoroe islanders did not. It's interesting.

    Faroe Islands and Iceland should just get it over with and form a joint country together. We could call it Eyjasambandið (the Island Union) or something. Our cultures are practically identical our languages so similar they might as well be called extreme dialects and our history is intertwined. A union between the two countries would unite our exclusive economic zones making us a huge Ocean powerhouse combining some of the richest fishing grounds in the world. (Not to mention that oil is a likely resource in both countries). Faroe Islands is a tiny country that frankly doesn't have to much space left for growth and Iceland is a huge country that desperately needs more people. So Faroese people would benefit from the rapidly growing Icelandic economy and Icelanders would gain people that integrate well within their society. Together we would have a combined population of around 400.000 people and Faroe Islands would be the county's second-most populous and second richest region. Making it represent around 1/8th of the population and a 1/9th of the economy making them a powerful part of the country that would be impossible for politicians to ignore. Both countries could benefit in a linguistic sense as both languages have very few speakers. Both countries could drop the Danish lessons in their schools and replace them with Icelandic and Faroese respectively. Giving Faroese 350.000 more speakers and Icelandic 50.000 more speakers. our economies are very similar and are already somewhat intertwined as a large number of Icelandic companies already operate on the Faroe Islands and we share part of our fishing quotas with each other. so integrating both economies together should not be a huge difficulty. A union with Iceland would also levitate many of the fears Faroe islanders have facing independence, such as foreign influences in their country and economic instability. as far as i can tell it's a match made in heaven.
