After 20 years as a highly successful emergency room physician and supervisor, Annette Mullett knew something wasn’t quite right. The high school valedictorian and graduate of the Ohio State College of Medicine had practiced her field of medicine faithfully and effectively, helping to save the lives of hundreds of people. But over time she had seen things that did not neatly fit into the science-based model of healing that she had based her career on.
“It wasn’t just one thing that opened my eyes,” said Mullett. “It was a series of little things that made me aware something else was going on.”
One of the earliest incidents took place at a medical conference in the 1980s. Another attendee was a world renowned cardiologist. In a peculiar twist of fate, the doctor, who had no idea who Mullett was, approached her and blurted out his own life-changing moment. While performing open-heart surgery on a seriously ill patient, the arteries feeding the man’s heart began to disintegrate. Despite his years of experience and skill, the doctor realized there was nothing more he could do for him and sewed him back
up, Following the surgery the doctor told the man he would be fine, despite knowing he had little time to live.
The doctor put the unfortunate man out of his mind until he ran into him sometime later. The man told the doctor he had fully recovered and thanked him for saving his life. The next day the doctor closed his
practice and gave up his career. Nothing in all of his training and experience could explain what happened to his patient.
Time and time again Mullett has encountered similar events that can only be described as miracles. She used an alternative approach to treat her grandson who was born very premature at 29 weeks weighing under three pounds. The traditional doctors said he would have cerebral palsy and be deaf among many other problems. Now he is a fully functional, normal five year-old!
Her experiences have led her to experiment with many different healing modalities. She has studied with some of the world’s leading proponents of non-traditional healing including Norman Shealy, considered
to be the father of holistic medicine, and Deepak Chopra. Her studies have ranged from intuitive and mind/body/spirit healing, to Reiki, Kundalini and yoga meditation. She has also used Feng Shui, vibrational medicine, light/color/sound therapy, shamanism, aromatherapy, healing touch and past life regression. She has taught her own version of Qi Gong for over ten years. Many of her Qi Gong students believe that her classes were life-changing.
Annette is eager to work with people to help themselves find healing solutions. She believes in empowering the patient by getting their input into their treatment . She strongly believes that an alternative holistic approach with significant patient input achieves a better result.
