Most women in car reviews, just memorize the script. But she actually knew what she was talking about. Really good review. Covered just about everything, it was better than most men reviews actually.
Just so people know, I just bought a 2011 Mustang Gt convertible and it's been amazing. 2 points she made that need correction, the car handles really, REALLY well, I'm pushing it more and more but the way it goes around corners and circles, NO movement at all, for a big car, wow. And the stereo is awesome, best stock stereo I've heard in a long time, 6 speakers with 8" inch subs in the front, more than impressed, just the regular shaker system.
Just took delivery of a 2011 GT with Brembo. After years of BMW, Mercedes and Porsche (I still own an example of the latter two) I am hugely impressed with the engine, handling and build quality. This is my first American car and I must say,,,,,WOW.
Just bought a new 5.0 and the car is jsut amazing. Already tuned it and slapped an intake on it and made 383 to the wheels. Just an amazing car, period. The Brembo package is a must (which I got).
@flawns I'm hardly a kid, I'm 29 and I also happen to own a 2011 Mustang GT. I can tell you from first hand experience it's a very fast car and can easily hold it's own against the M3 (which I've also driven). Have a nice day.
Good car for a good price. I had a 91' 5.0 GT back in the day, great car and absolutely no traction in rain or snow. On an unrelated note, I believe heaven is a white Porsche Boxster Spyder with Jessi in the passenger seat.
@S281X The numbers I checked have them both coming in at around 4.6sec 0-60. It's going to really come down to the driver at that point. My point was that the two cars are too close to say that one is without a doubt faster than the other as was said in this video.
I'm so glad that after 45 years, the Mustang is still going strong. In fact in my opinion this is the best Mustang ever built =) Some day I'll own one of these, for sure :P
Jessi, You forgot something really important... The sound of screeching tires and that exhaust, because the Mustang it's all about drama, how the car makes you feel when you use your right foot. The front suspension rises to the heavens while the sound of lots of horsepower come stampeding out of the exhaust and all you leave behind are smoking pieces of rubber and the sound of torture of the tires.
Hey, wait a minute! I bought a 2012 GT, and my Ford dealer never told me that Jessi Lang was on the option list! Rats! Screwed again! To be fair, it gets decent fuel economy and runs real strong. Negatives are the dash rattles at times, and it has a weird rear axle locater design and the bushings squeak. You need to jack the back of the car up and spray grease into the front bushing to quiet it down. Every oil change, I grease those bushings. She's right about the cheap plastic!
Shaker 1000 audio is still terrible. Standard shaker 500 system + better speakers and an aftermarket sub in the back is the best option. I also read that aftermarket tune + lowering the car can get you near 30 mpg on the highway.
@Wowmasta21 How are you getting 4.2 with a stock 5.0...? Thats pretty much impossible unless your going down hill or driving around with drag radials/much stickier not factory tires. Especially in an automatic. The best I've seen is 4.4-4.5 with the auto or manual.
as a proud owner of a 2010 shelby gt500..i think the mustangs are the best sports car for the price. All the other muscle cars can not even compare to mustang that why they go after the m3 and out perfrom it. awesome car i would highly recommend it.
Sorry, I didn't want to sound like I was bashing your review. I thought it was excellent like all of your reviews. I really look foward to watching your videos Jessi =) -Chris
I have 4 cars that i cycle as daily drivers All of them are well over 5 liters in capacity, One is a 7.5 liter, i get about 6mpg with it and drive it 50 miles each way to work everyday. I'd like to see how much fun you could have in a 1.5 liter motor in a 4000lb + car. I am very proud to be American, due to the fact i can drive practically anything i want. Unlike some places.
As a ford guy, I drove the mustang gt and the LT camero surprisingly the camero one in handling, acceleration breaking and gas mileage plus it felt better driving and better interior so Idk to be honest I like the Camero much more now plus the ford dealerships salesmen were very unprofessional unlike the chevys dealer
I'm 68 but I'm not dead yet. You are so cute giving that review. You make an old man wish for younger days. I'm being respectful here. I subscribed and liked.
@422eng ....And yet the GT out handles both the Camaro and Challenger, and both of those cars have an IRS. Who cares if it's out dated on paper, it's how it handles in the real world that counts.
@zipper978 Then put a damn flow master on it, or another exhaust kit. Not everyone wants a bounce your fillings out loudness. You still get a nice V8 rumble though.
@againat5 Actually this 5.0 lt engine has been highly praised in the automotive industry. Time will tell how reliable it is but it is understressed. W/forged internals and 6 bolt mains it should be pretty reliable. Being in a car that can go head to head against a BMW M3 for under $40,000 means that the engine is not that expensive. The biggest thing about a big displacement motor is the RIGHT NOW engine responce that no small dispacement motor can provide when you touch the go pedal.
it would be nice if she said what bhp it actualy put to the pavement,or how long the motor will last or failer times of other componets, more or less how much a person has to put into the car over a 10 to 15 year period of time with daily use
you're wrong. the new mustangs are packing 420HP and are significantly lighter than the challenger and camaro. I owned a 2000 Z28 camaro and was considering getting a 2012, but went with the Mustang GT instead for this reason.
@nimlil That 4.0L V8 the M3 has is SO refined and yes, it costs bundles. Plus, getting that engine to rev to 8000RPM or so isn't exactly an easy engineering task either. But again, there's a cost involved. And the rest of the car too: the IRS, interior, that STUPID iDrive system...whatev's. The 5.0 is actually modular off of the 4.6L too. Yeah it wasn't a powerhouse from the factory but it was reliable. I'm confident that the new 5.0 will stick out quite well in the crowd of 4 cam power plants.
Gloves in the winter, hahahahaha, serious, the problem is when its 115 degrees outside and you blister your hand in the summer. She must live in northern Alaska. Also, the stereo? its 500 watts. I've never had a problem with it, its crazy loud. I don't need 1000 watts. Thats more than enough to play a club. geez. These are the lamest gripes ever.
basically the mustang 5.0 is the corvette version of a 4 seater sports car, but the same ideology is put into both cars, more performance for less price
Achilles Heel if you are driving fast ona bumpy curve.. On a smooth Track its neither an asset nor a liability. On a Drag strip, its an advantage. She said it was one of the best of the live axles...not best of any sports coupe. It was good enough afterall to tie a 2011M3 on a race track and a drag strip.
@Wowmasta21 They might be the same kind of tires but the front rims on a Lambo are almost as thick, if not as thick as the rear tires on your mustang... Big difference there. Idk how your getting 0-60 times like that, gotta be down hill or some shit. Because that is GT500 fast... Not stock 5.0. I've heard Ford under rates the 5.0, as in it makes 380rwhp, which is around 437ish at the crank. But you need HP numbers around 500 at the crank to get speeds like that consistently... Or drag radials.
@IchiCrack SRA is old tech but its a lot better for the drag strip. Its also a lot cheaper and a lot lighter. A IRS system would add 150-225 lbs to the car and add another 2-3k$ Ive driven mustangs IRS and SRA and to be honest unless your trying to powerslide broken pavement all the time theres no real benifit to the IRS. Its not the same kind of SRA that you got on older mustangs, this one is really well planted.
I HAVE A 2011 MUSTANG G T PREMIUM I LOVE THE CAR RIDES GREAT HANDLE GREAT AND THE COYOTE IT LOVES TO RIDE I HAVE 373 GEARS AND IT WILL 24 MPG ON THE ROAD
@Reaper87xx Yeah that 4.0 is a sweet spinning motor. Not as torquey but part of the fun or driving expertise is keeping it on the boil. Get er right and it is as rewarding as hell. I love any car that rewards good driving.
@1vdn992 No those are indirect factors in nosedive. If you start stiffening the suspension to reduce nosedive, you'll mess up the ride and now you are coupling ride and nosedive unnecessarily. Not smart. There is a way to reduce nosedive without stiffening the suspension at all. Example: Mercedes cars ride plush yet don't nosedive like this Mustang. How do they do it? Geometry.
@prettybswag I've seen Honda Civics that will out run the CTS-V, doesn't mean I want to drive it!! I'm not knocking the Mustang, I had a fox body that ran low 11's all day long. I just prefer the refinement of the CTS-V now, and I prefer having a four door vehicle.
More like 0-60 : 4.4, 1/4 Mile : 12.7 @ 111.6 *According to the Motor Trend magazine test I have in front of me... & that's just a magazine. A very good driver should beat that ET.
Most women in car reviews, just memorize the script. But she actually knew what she was talking about. Really good review. Covered just about everything, it was better than most men reviews actually.

Wow, that was one of the best and most comprehensive reviews of this car I've seen for the time allotted to it. Well done.
Sweet curves and makes a great noise. Oh yeah, the Mustang is nice too.
instead of falling in love with the car, I fell in love with the girl 😄
ass hole
Best female review of a car I've seen in a long time. She seems very natural and at place in the boys world of the muscle cars. Great job.
Just took delivery of a 2011 GT with Brembo. After years of BMW, Mercedes and Porsche (I still own an example of the latter two) I am hugely impressed with the engine, handling and build quality. This is my first American car and I must say,,,,,WOW.

Thanks for not concentrating just on the performance, it was good to hear about the improved interior noise and the stereo quality.
Good car for a good price.

do you own one?
Nice job Jessie and crew! I don't care for that blue color but it seems like a decent car.
Last time I checked, the 2011 Camaro SS also gets 0-60 in the high 4 second range.
Another great review Jessi man i love the new mustang! but I also love the old fox body 5.0's as well!
Great review Jessy!
She's right about the cheap plastic!
i dunno if it's the camera angle or what, but the car looks HUGE next to her!
@toastedbum she said 5.0 badge, not engine the 94-95 GT didn't have the 5.0 badge on them
Shaker 1000 audio is still terrible. Standard shaker 500 system + better speakers and an aftermarket sub in the back is the best option. I also read that aftermarket tune + lowering the car can get you near 30 mpg on the highway.

Jessie, I'm speechless. I can only just stare and dream. The car of course.
as a proud owner of a 2010 shelby gt500..i think the mustangs are the best sports car for the price. All the other muscle cars can not even compare to mustang that why they go after the m3 and out perfrom it. awesome car i would highly recommend it.
The 2011 Ford Mustang is a car I recommend for those who are into a sporty stylish look. Exterior is well designed. Interior is well placed.
She is much better at reviewing than 90% of the guys in the business.
Sorry, I didn't want to sound like I was bashing your review. I thought it was excellent like all of your reviews. I really look foward to watching your videos Jessi =)
-Chris
Jessie Lang, for sure I'll take you for a ride in my Mustang
I have 4 cars that i cycle as daily drivers All of them are well over 5 liters in capacity, One is a 7.5 liter, i get about 6mpg with it and drive it 50 miles each way to work everyday. @yaroukh Hi, do also think that the new Musttang's head lamps are uglier then before?
As a ford guy, I drove the mustang gt and the LT camero surprisingly the camero one in handling, acceleration breaking and gas mileage plus it felt better driving and better interior so Idk to be honest I like the Camero much more now plus the ford dealerships salesmen were very unprofessional unlike the chevys dealer
It seems the V6 exhaust sounds better than the V8's?
Mr. Lang, please make more reviews. I like Ross and Emme but I miss you.
I'm 68 but I'm not dead yet. You are so cute giving that review. You make an old man wish for younger days. I'm being respectful here. I subscribed and liked.
@422eng
....And yet the GT out handles both the Camaro and Challenger, and both of those cars have an IRS. Who cares if it's out dated on paper, it's how it handles in the real world that counts.
@zipper978 Then put a damn flow master on it, or another exhaust kit. Not everyone wants a bounce your fillings out loudness. You still get a nice V8 rumble though.
@alabalabanana options bro...she had the touchscreen navi and probably some other expensive addons
@minskrap911 the M3 won by 1/10th of a second around the track. They are pretty much equal in performance
@againat5 Actually this 5.0 lt engine has been highly praised in the automotive industry. Time will tell how reliable it is but it is understressed. As others have stated, she does a great job. Very attractive....smart...genuine...kind of mesmerizing. Anyway, nice work!
Nice car too.
Everything is perfect about Jessi Lang. Her words, tone of voice, knowledge.
it would be nice if she said what bhp it actualy put to the pavement,or how long the motor will last or failer times of other componets, more or less how much a person has to put into the car over a 10 to 15 year period of time with daily use
i dont understand why they brought back the 5.0
the 4.6 was better for reliability but i bet the new 5.0 is well completely different
u always test drive cool cars!!!
Is she saying the Shaker 500 speakers are muffled and disappointing?
you're wrong. the new mustangs are packing 420HP and are significantly lighter than the challenger and camaro. I owned a 2000 Z28 camaro and was considering getting a 2012, but went with the Mustang GT instead for this reason.

4.8 seems a tad high considering that they're saying it's faster than the camaro and challenger.
@Jabronie0 no shes saying u should upgrade to the shaker 500's!
I am picking mine up tomorrow, if only it came with a Lang option.
Gloves in the winter, hahahahaha, serious, the problem is when its 115 degrees outside and you blister your hand in the summer. She must live in northern Alaska. Also, the stereo? its 500 watts. Im pretty sure the color is a real Grabber Blue and not Azure Blue like on the 03-04 Mach 1.
basically the mustang 5.0 is the corvette version of a 4 seater sports car, but the same ideology is put into both cars, more performance for less price
Nice review. I also liked how she has clothes that put the look with the car , gives a 1970's vibe.
I got mine in Ingot silver with the brembo brake package.
This Ford GT model comes standard with a V8???
There´s just one thing that outperformes this beautiful car in terms of appearence: the lovely Jessi Lang :)
Woot! Nice video guys!
Hi Jessi! If U r ever in the Beverly Hills area lets go camping!
@bartybaby It was motortrend, dont remember the track. Search under 2011 gt vs m3.
@bigretardhalo i see
what better about the 4.6
is there anything the old 5.0 does better
is there a difference in fuel economy?
top gear uk must do a review from this
@Wowmasta21 They might be the same kind of tires but the front rims on a Lambo are almost as thick, if not as thick as the rear tires on your mustang... Big difference there. @oilhammer04 what do u mean? like the only good one left? or the worst?
I HAVE A 2011 MUSTANG G T PREMIUM I LOVE THE CAR RIDES GREAT HANDLE GREAT AND THE COYOTE IT LOVES TO RIDE I HAVE 373 GEARS AND IT WILL 24 MPG ON THE ROAD
Don;t know about everyone else, but I'm getting this!!!
@errenthovsep, it is only slightly slower 0 to 60 mph.
Can you do a review on the 2011 dodge charger?
The mustang GT will beat a challenger SRT8? Is that true?
Next week John Force will be reviewing hybrids & mini vans..lol
@Reaper87xx Yeah that 4.0 is a sweet spinning motor. Not as torquey but part of the fun or driving expertise is keeping it on the boil. Get er right and it is as rewarding as hell. I love any car that rewards good driving.
Damn.... Does she come with it?
@1vdn992 No those are indirect factors in nosedive. If you start stiffening the suspension to reduce nosedive, you'll mess up the ride and now you are coupling ride and nosedive unnecessarily. Not smart. There is a way to reduce nosedive without stiffening the suspension at all. Example: Mercedes cars ride plush yet don't nosedive like this Mustang. How do they do it? Geometry.
@lungfixer Dude...seriously? The Civic, the CIVIC, which is why I complemented the CTS-V's V8...please reread.
Whty would you drivbe a mustang in the winter?
4.8?? No try 4.4
this is a very nice one right there..... the mustang is too
Hey, just bought a 2012 Black GT/CS Premium package, you can come test drive it if you want :)
Stunning, and I don't just mean the car!
wow, no thumbs down, good for you
Awesome car and so the color is .
@45barber1 which model?
OMG Jesse I missed you...
25000 quid for a V8 eh. You can't even get a V6 in UK for some money. Tell me one thing mate. How do you build them so cheap?
Problem is she never revs the engine to 3000 rpm and pops the clutch out and lights up the tires.
Wow I like that color!
Crome shift knobs are blazin hot in the summer. They look cool but you will need a glove in the car all year round.
some day I'm gonna buy this car !
Yes, precisely
@prettybswag
I've seen Honda Civics that will out run the CTS-V, doesn't mean I want to drive it!! I'm not knocking the Mustang, I had a fox body that ran low 11's all day long. I just prefer the refinement of the CTS-V now, and I prefer having a four door vehicle.
@errenthovsep, I think Ford is the only one left that will last. I think the Union is the big reason GM is finished and probably Chrysler, too.
@hunt1962 VERY very true! that 26,000 difference almost makes me shy away from the m3 when being compared like that to a 5.0 mustang
More like 0-60 : 4.4,
1/4 Mile : 12.7 @ 111.6
*According to the Motor Trend magazine test I have in front of me... & that's just a magazine. A very good driver should beat that ET.
@zipper978 The exhaust does sound pretty good. Although in todays world, everyone wants a quiet cabin.
wow she looks so small when standing next to the car
