I was used Ultra 2 on my 04 Lexus LS430 high and fog, they was great, until bought the DDM ProX Accu/V2, In high beam, it more focus and brighter, it has longer range than the Ultra 2 and better beam pattern. In fog, It wider and no more coming driver flash me anymore, before when I Used Ultra 2, lot of people flash me they're high beam because my fog blind them
In my old car, a 2019 Fusion w/projectors, I tried tried the Diode Dynamics SL1. Wasn't very happy with them. Purchased the GTR ULTRA 2's and they were exceptional. I highly recommend them.
I have the sl1 on my accord and i feel like they arnt that bright.. Better than stock but still not that bright in a projector headlight. I was thinking of the gtr led. How do u like them? Huge diff? Or just a little?
Bought my GTR Ultra 2 from yall based on previous videos on here. Trusted that yall knew what you were doing so I got them. By far the best LED light bulbs on the market. They are almost as bright as my 55w HIDs were. Only wished they were clocked specific to my Ram. Not easy to clock a headlight in a projector housing. But once I did, it was great!
@@SavageOutlaw17 the LED has to be in the headlight at an exact position. These allow you to rotate to that position using a screw. I didn't know that when I put them in the first time till I saw how HORRIBLE the light output was that night. Did some research and even the website tells you what to do. Once they were in the right position, it was night vs day difference. Every car has a different way the main part screws into the housing, so they made it to where you can make it right
If you are using these bulbs that put out multiple times the stock one, is it so bright that other drivers are constantly being blinded? If so, then maybe these bulbs that are only maybe double the output might make more sense.
@@KristianHornbill...beam is less of a concern when that vehicle is behind you at night. That 500% brighter fills your mirrors and now you can't see. This is the major reason I hate Ford's new quad-halogen headlights on their trucks...
I loved your videos for the unbiased and quantified data which you show. I did not expect you to show the same video which was recorded in 2019. I'm seriously disappointed with this one. The video is mentioned as "The Top 10 H11 LED Kits For 2021" Then where is Morimoto 2stroke 3.0? Personally I don't like to buy Chinese manufactured products. Since I couldn't buy gtr ultra 2 or S-V.4 in India, i have reluctantly bought F3 H4 led bulb just to experiment. I was quite surprised at the brightness and beam pattern. I have been using F3 from past 2 years and no damage was observed and it is also pretty hot climate where I live. After F3 there were 3 iterations F5(bigger heat sink and bigger fan), F5C(two heat pipes) and now F5D. Each one brighter than the previous one. Team Headlight Revolution, I think F5D will beat GTR lighting's Ultra 2 in brightness as F5D has two heat pipes and more refined design than F3. If you really want to be honest. Show your viewers & buyers the comparison between GTR lighting's Ultra 2 and F5D.

So, i have both the SV.4 and the GTR ULTRA 2 for my 2021 Chevy Colorado low beams. Had the GTRs installed first but had some issues. The right side wasn't as bright as the left, even after adjusting the positioning. I got a replacement light to see if that bulb was defective. The replacement bulb was a lot better but still didn't match the other. THEN the left side, the one that never had its neck adjusted, the collar fell off mid drive. Got home, took off my dust cover, and there goes my collar into the storm drain. Since then, said screw the GTRs and went SV.4. The hot spot may not be as bloomy as the GTRs but the beam pattern is cleaner and equal light output. Gonna submit another ticket for my GTRs sooner or later. Sorry for the long post...

I just got two gtr ultra 2's for $100 on close out. A few of my friends have cars with reflectors after watching the video I think they should go with sv4 cause the cut off looked best. I wonder how the morimoto looks
Diode Dynamic bulbs are probably the best for real world, won't piss everyone off 😂 I'm going to buy the new SL2 yellow h11 since it's almost equal to my oem low beam bulbs and sv4 yellow for my H09 high beam.
OK I’m getting the SV2’’s. My question is if the LED burns out can you replace just the bulb? Is there any caveat with this scenario? Or do you have to purchase the whole housing and LED? I know I asked this question multiple times but I couldn’t find your answer lol One final question about the SV2 ultra is there enough room in the 2007 Honda pilot? I believe there will be because I ordered the keys before LED headlights and they have a little box you have to double-sided tape in there and I had plenty of room.
Sylvania zevo is the most available bulb being sold at every major parts store and some Walmart stores for $99. It would be nice to see why we shouldn't or should buy these bulbs too!
After looking at pictures and videos of h13 gtr ultra 2; my 100$ Sylvania h13’s are brighter. That is in my own opinion of course and im sure viewing it in person is different. Great video through out

The DDM tuning saberled prox 55w accu/v2 are on another level of performance. I got the H11 6000K option in projector bulbs and they are king. They also have the 4500K color temp option and I was wondering if the 4500K is brighter than the 6000K. For someone in Colorado with snow and rain, I might switch over to the 4500K color temp option
I tested several of these in my 2022 f150 reflectors. The Morimotos 3.0s had the best beam pattern by far. Of course that outcome may be different in other reflector designs.
I have 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Sport, one thing I hate about this car is the halogen headlights. and now I am looking for brighter low beams. Can't decide if I will go HID or LED. Any recommendation which one should I get for my halogen headlights? Thanks

According to my experience with F3 led is durable, as they running for 2 years on my car and still kicking without any problems of small heatsink as you mentioned , and i am really leaving in hot country (Saudi Arabia) , before that i was using HIKARI Ultra LED that last for about one and half year only , i think your reviews is biased towards GTR led that coast a fortune compared to F3 led … buy the way there’s a new version of F3 led , the F5 that has same leds with bigger heatsink as you like ..
I agree! The SV4 and the GTR lighting are the same company. Coincidentally they were his pick for first and second, interestingly. I also took a look at their website and they sell the GTR and the sv4 but none of the other competitors that they allegedly tested in the video. The GTR and sv4 also cost a small fortune. I find it very hard to believe that they're the best. The headlight expert LEDs in the video supposedly didn't Fair anywhere near as well as some of the others on there that I know for a fact are inferior. The headlight expert LEDs but I have are very high quality and the brightest LED bulb I've ever seen on the road. Every car I drive past is blinded by the Superior brightness of this bulb. The cooling is excellent and they've yet to fail. I bought them 2 years ago. I wish I could post pictures.
Thanks Very good explanation, very useful without waste, about my experience with oem lights, reflective signs on the road and reflective parts of vehicles are better visualized, example a dark-colored car badly parked on a road, with the led lights it is visualize the object in front and sometimes the reflective signs with white letters dazzle the driver himself.
As much as I wanted to stick with Diode Dynamics I kept having problems with one bulb going out every so often. Of course they would send out a replacement asap but it was still a hassle having to wait for it. Going to try out the GTR lighting bulb now hopefully it gets better! Thank you for this video !
I didn't see the brands I have bought for several of my vehicles --- one is the Nilight A9 9005. Do you have a rating on them? I also got a set of 4WDKING 9005/HB3 and they are pretty bright too for these old eyes of mine. TIA

I purchased gtr ultra 2s in May 2020 from headlight revolution for my 2008 Lexus Gx470 projector headlights. It was plug and play for me, no aiming needed, perfect cutoff, and extremely bright. Haven’t had an issue in the last 2 years. Makes night driving feel great again. I can say from experience that these bulbs greatly outperform many new stock manufacture upgraded led headlights. If you have a projector housing with a well defined cutoff, these LEDs will change the game. Worth the price since they have lasted so long.

Ive ha a set of the GTR lights for about a year now. They do work well, and light up the road way more then the stock halogens. My only issue with them is the fan noises, especially in start up. They sound like they are about to seize up and it takes about 10 minutes for that to go away, but then it's just a fairly loud fan noise. When they turn off, you realize how loud they really are.
In the United States, lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment are regulated by the US Department of Transportation (DOT). Even though these types of LED lights can be used in place of an original halogen light bulb, it is not legal to use on vehicles registered for on-street use. Feel lucky?

I recently installed a set of LED bulbs in my highbeams on my 2016 Chevrolet Colorado. The diodes point to the left and right as they should. But, when I turn on the highbeams the light is projected downward on the ground. Any idea why that would be?
Is there any diagram or tips on how to position the adjustable collar on the led bulbs so you don’t have to loosen the allen screw and adjust them multiple times to get the diaodes in the correct position in a projector when you cant see them as in a projector from outside?
Unfortunately, we don't have anything like that at this time. This is a bit of a trial and error part of the install. That being said, in almost every application these bulbs are good right out of the box and won't require any adjustments.
What happened to the 2 stroke 3.0 you only tested the 2.0. I threw a set of 3.0s in my '16 Ski Doo and they're fantastic. Much better then the Xenon Depots I have in my Truck

From what little I've been able to find, 35watt and 55watt are most common, though, bulbs actually rated for 55watts are difficult to source. You can also find 75watt ballasts, and there is ONE HID bulb that is rated for it, but I can't recall its official name offhand. 100watt HID kits are just plain no. From what I've been able to research, they run too hot to be practicable, and will ABSOLUTELY melt a plastic housing in minutes, and make a metal housing hot enough to literally spontaneously ignite anything that touches it, under even limited use. That's a big part of why LED's are taking over from HID's. They can produce the light of the 100watt HID kits, but without the risk of igniting the atmosphere and killing off every living thing on planet earth.😂
Hey Headlight Revolution Could you maybe include some LED bulb options replacing d2s xenons etc. I know that DDM tuning makes one, and a (I think) German brand called BenzinFabrik also makes one :) Best regards

It actually outperforms a Osram CBI in low beam, in a Skoda Octavia with factory bi-xenon projectors :) So would be awsome to see such light source in a projector like the Evox-r 2.0 :)
Not surprised, a paid advertisement.. though, I was surprised I did not see the Morimoto 2stroke 3.0 in comparison with gtr lighting and the sv4. This video isn't so different from the previous until you guys bring up the 2stroke 3.0.

Bulbs are a top seller because people actually WANT to buy them. Headlight Revolution has done these tests for a few years, and while this year they didn't touch much on beam pattern, in previous years they explain EXACTLY why the SV4 and Ultra2 are the best bulbs. Its not just about brightness, but usable brightness.

The Stedi (Australian brand) projector bulbs looks interesting. The LED's are angled to cover approximately 270 arc for the projector housing. Can this be tested in the next round of bulbs?
I was looking for a set of LED light bulb for my gf 2012 Camry with halogen light with daytime running light. Notice there’s a regular bulb and a day time running light bulb that looks exactly the same. Is there a difference between the two?
The daytime running light (DRL) is most likely just the high beam halogen bulb, but operated at 50% during daytime. Most LED bulbs can't dim down that far without adverse effects like flickering, 'on' at full brightness (blinding drivers), or with higher end LED products - DRL is completely disabled as the bulb uses a PWM signal to operate.
If you are talking of the GTR Ultra 2 then I wouldn't as that year Yukon has reflector housings where the intense output from this bulb will create a scattered beam pattern, thereby blinding traffic. From the higher end stuff, I'd recommend the SV-4 hands down.
“Eye of Megatron” doesn’t appear to a good identifier as ALL of their light kits have this on the box, thus rendering it meaningless. The ones featured in this video are the cheap Thunder, or what I call “red box”. I have these (which were later recalled, not sure how they showed up here) and the “white-box” Hikari Ultra, both purchased in 2019, both H7 (for my Mazda). Ultra was the top of their line back then, but appears to have been superseded since. I never did install the Ultra as they didn’t seem to fit well with the adapters I had. The Thunder seems to light up stuff like reflective road signs, taillights, etc., but not great at lighting up the actual road, especially on the passenger side. Think I may splurge on the GTR Ultra 2 and see what happens. (I’d be happy to sell you the Hikari Ultra 😀)
Great video and review. I bought hikari basic LEDs for our older winter truck a jeep grand cherokee. I can tell you them things were bright and still were going 3 yrs later. Only issue I seen was the bulbs were hit and cause the amber in the side marker to start to wear off.
My car uses H11 for low beams but it has push fit so no twisting to lock it in place. Despite being a pain in the a.. to replace it seems to work just fine with a halogen bulb. The problem is that I can't seem to fint an LED bulb that will work with my headlights as they don't seem to have the cylindrical base that is necessary for the bulb to sit tight. The lamps are also sealed with limited space behind the bulb and the car has can bus. Can you recommend an LED bulb that might work for my car?
Great review .. i think morimoto 2stroke and gtr utra 2 comes first but i hope it is not all about brighteness and quailty only what about light distribution and long distance...you have mentioned something wired ,same bulbs in same housing one works better than another?? Why ? What is reason behind that? Because i already have that issue but morimoto xenon bulbs same ballast same bulbs??

What about firehawk led and Hikari 2021 Acme - x. The firehawk led works good on reflectors. My boss has a pair of hi and low beams of the same brand. Can you do a review on those bulbs in your opinion.
I have always trusted sylvania for led interior lights because in my experience they lasted longer than many other led brands...I see very little testing of thr sylvania h11 and would like your opinion of this brand
Sylvania bulbs are reliable sure, but they aren't very bright. If you're wanting bright interior lights that are still very reliable get the GTR bulbs!

Unfortunately, if your vehicle came factory with HID you cannot easily swap to LED and even if you did, it would result in less light. I would recommend upgrading to something like the Osram Night Breaker Lasers!

I don't know anything about headlights. I own a 2011 f150 and would like to get brighter lights but also change the look. Can I get the cheaper after market headlight housings and then put the high dollar lights such as the GTR Ultra?

I just got two gtr ultra 2's for $100 on close out. A few of my friends have cars with reflectors after watching the video I think they should go with sv4 cause the cut off looked best. I wonder how the morimoto looks

My question is if the LED burns out can you replace just the bulb? Is there any caveat with this scenario? Or do you have to purchase the whole housing and LED?

One final question about the SV2 ultra is there enough room in the 2007 Honda pilot? I believe there will be because I ordered the keys before LED headlights and they have a little box you have to double-sided tape in there and I had plenty of room.
Sylvania zevo is the most available bulb being sold at every major parts store and some Walmart stores for $99. It would be nice to see why we shouldn't or should buy these bulbs too!
They are not even half as bright as something like the GTR Ultra 2.

After looking at pictures and videos of h13 gtr ultra 2; my 100$ Sylvania h13’s are brighter. That is in my own opinion of course and im sure viewing it in person is different. Great video through out

The DDM tuning saberled prox 55w accu/v2 are on another level of performance. I got the H11 6000K option in projector bulbs and they are king. They also have the 4500K color temp option and I was wondering if the 4500K is brighter than the 6000K. For someone in Colorado with snow and rain, I might switch over to the 4500K color temp option
4500k would be better for snowy/rainy weather!
does it get very hot? seems like 55w is very hot for hid and also hot for halogen bulb.

I tested several of these in my 2022 f150 reflectors. The Morimotos 3.0s had the best beam pattern by far. Of course that outcome may be different in other reflector designs.
I have 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Sport, one thing I hate about this car is the halogen headlights. and now I am looking for brighter low beams. Can't decide if I will go HID or LED. Any recommendation which one should I get for my halogen headlights? Thanks
For these headlights I would recommend an HID kit. The housing will focus this light much better!

According to my experience with F3 led is durable, as they running for 2 years on my car and still kicking without any problems of small heatsink as you mentioned , and i am really leaving in hot country (Saudi Arabia) , before that i was using HIKARI Ultra LED that last for about one and half year only , i think your reviews is biased towards GTR led that coast a fortune compared to F3 led … buy the way there’s a new version of F3 led , the F5 that has same leds with bigger heatsink as you like ..
F5 came out 2 years ago, the F7 is the newest model.

I agree! The SV4 and the GTR lighting are the same company. Coincidentally they were his pick for first and second, interestingly. I also took a look at their website and they sell the GTR and the sv4 but none of the other competitors that they allegedly tested in the video. The GTR and sv4 also cost a small fortune. I find it very hard to believe that they're the best. The headlight expert LEDs in the video supposedly didn't Fair anywhere near as well as some of the others on there that I know for a fact are inferior. The headlight expert LEDs but I have are very high quality and the brightest LED bulb I've ever seen on the road. Every car I drive past is blinded by the Superior brightness of this bulb. The cooling is excellent and they've yet to fail. I bought them 2 years ago. I wish I could post pictures.
I would be interested to see what you think about the new Philips Ultinon Pro9000 HL. Very unique LED placement - TopContact LEDs.

Very good explanation, very useful without waste, about my experience with oem lights, reflective signs on the road and reflective parts of vehicles are better visualized, example a dark-colored car badly parked on a road, with the led lights it is visualize the object in front and sometimes the reflective signs with white letters dazzle the driver himself.

As much as I wanted to stick with Diode Dynamics I kept having problems with one bulb going out every so often. Of course they would send out a replacement asap but it was still a hassle having to wait for it. Going to try out the GTR lighting bulb now hopefully it gets better! Thank you for this video !

What's the best type of led bulb for a non projector headlight?
I purchased gtr ultra 2s in May 2020 from headlight revolution for my 2008 Lexus Gx470 projector headlights. It was plug and play for me, no aiming needed, perfect cutoff, and extremely bright. Haven’t had an issue in the last 2 years. Makes night driving feel great again. I can say from experience that these bulbs greatly outperform many new stock manufacture upgraded led headlights. If you have a projector housing with a well defined cutoff, these LEDs will change the game. Worth the price since they have lasted so long.

Ive ha a set of the GTR lights for about a year now. They do work well, and light up the road way more then the stock halogens. My only issue with them is the fan noises, especially in start up. They sound like they are about to seize up and it takes about 10 minutes for that to go away, but then it's just a fairly loud fan noise. When they turn off, you realize how loud they really are.

We have not tested these yet, we have them on our list for our next test though!
In the United States, lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment are regulated by the US Department of Transportation (DOT). Even though these types of LED lights can be used in place of an original halogen light bulb, it is not legal to use on vehicles registered for on-street use.

I recently installed a set of LED bulbs in my highbeams on my 2016 Chevrolet Colorado. The diodes point to the left and right as they should. But, when I turn on the highbeams the light is projected downward on the ground. Any idea why that would be?

what is the best for a honda accord 2015 top and bottom
Is there any diagram or tips on how to position the adjustable collar on the led bulbs so you don’t have to loosen the allen screw and adjust them multiple times to get the diaodes in the correct position in a projector when you cant see them as in a projector from outside?
Unfortunately, we don't have anything like that at this time.
This is a bit of a trial and error part of the install. That being said, in almost every application these bulbs are good right out of the box and won't require any adjustments.
What do you know about SuperBrightLED lights.....are they any good....????

What happened to the 2 stroke 3.0 you only tested the 2.0. I threw a set of 3.0s in my '16 Ski Doo and they're fantastic. Much better then the Xenon Depots I have in my Truck

Yes, definitely need those against the top performing LED bulbs
From what little I've been able to find, 35watt and 55watt are most common, though, bulbs actually rated for 55watts are difficult to source. You can also find 75watt ballasts, and there is ONE HID bulb that is rated for it, but I can't recall its official name offhand. 100watt HID kits are just plain no. From what I've been able to research, they run too hot to be practicable, and will ABSOLUTELY melt a plastic housing in minutes, and make a metal housing hot enough to literally spontaneously ignite anything that touches it, under even limited use.
That's a big part of why LED's are taking over from HID's. They can produce the light of the 100watt HID kits, but without the risk of igniting the atmosphere and killing off every living thing on planet earth.😂

Okay, but if you have time, you should check out the video from the TH-camr HalloWmanVid, regarding the D2S LED bulb from Benzinfabrik. It actually outperforms a Osram CBI in low beam, in a Skoda Octavia with factory bi-xenon projectors :) So would be awsome to see such light source in a projector like the Evox-r 2.0 :)

Bulbs are a top seller because people actually WANT to buy them. Headlight Revolution has done these tests for a few years, and while this year they didn't touch much on beam pattern, in previous years they explain EXACTLY why the SV4 and Ultra2 are the best bulbs. Its not just about brightness, but usable brightness.

The Stedi (Australian brand) projector bulbs looks interesting. The LED's are angled to cover approximately 270 arc for the projector housing. Can this be tested in the next round of bulbs?

I was looking for a set of LED light bulb for my gf 2012 Camry with halogen light with daytime running light. Notice there’s a regular bulb and a day time running light bulb that looks exactly the same. Is there a difference between the two?
The daytime running light (DRL) is most likely just the high beam halogen bulb, but operated at 50% during daytime. Most LED bulbs can't dim down that far without adverse effects like flickering, 'on' at full brightness (blinding drivers), or with higher end LED products - DRL is completely disabled as the bulb uses a PWM signal to operate.
The other comment here is correct, this is just the high beam bulb running at half power!
would you recommend the GTR lighting for a 97 yukon headlight housing?
If you are talking of the GTR Ultra 2 then I wouldn't as that year Yukon has reflector housings where the intense output from this bulb will create a scattered beam pattern, thereby blinding traffic. From the higher end stuff, I'd recommend the SV-4 hands down.
The Ultra 2.0 can work great in these Yukons! The headlight reflectors do a surprisingly good job at focusing the light from these bulbs!
the hikari bulb is a little dated it would be awesome to add their new offerings kikari 2022 HyperStar, awesome content though thanks

“Eye of Megatron” doesn’t appear to a good identifier as ALL of their light kits have this on the box, thus rendering it meaningless. The ones featured in this video are the cheap Thunder, or what I call “red box”. I have these (which were later recalled, not sure how they showed up here) and the “white-box” Hikari Ultra, both purchased in 2019, both H7 (for my Mazda). Ultra was the top of their line back then, but appears to have been superseded since. I never did install the Ultra as they didn’t seem to fit well with the adapters I had.
The Thunder seems to light up stuff like reflective road signs, taillights, etc., but not great at lighting up the actual road, especially on the passenger side.
Think I may splurge on the GTR Ultra 2 and see what happens. (I’d be happy to sell you the Hikari Ultra 😀)
Great video and review. I bought hikari basic LEDs for our older winter truck a jeep grand cherokee. I can tell you them things were bright and still were going 3 yrs later. Only issue I seen was the bulbs were hit and cause the amber in the side marker to start to wear off.

My car uses H11 for low beams but it has push fit so no twisting to lock it in place. Despite being a pain in the a.. to replace it seems to work just fine with a halogen bulb. The problem is that I can't seem to fint an LED bulb that will work with my headlights as they don't seem to have the cylindrical base that is necessary for the bulb to sit tight. The lamps are also sealed with limited space behind the bulb and the car has can bus. Can you recommend an LED bulb that might work for my car?

Great review .. i think morimoto 2stroke and gtr utra 2 comes first but i hope it is not all about brighteness and quailty only what about light distribution and long distance...you have mentioned something wired ,same bulbs in same housing one works better than another?? Why ? What is reason behind that? Because i already have that issue but morimoto xenon bulbs same ballast same bulbs??
Some housings focus different light sources better, that would be the reasoning behind this!

What about firehawk led and Hikari 2021 Acme - x. The firehawk led works good on reflectors. My boss has a pair of hi and low beams of the same brand. Can you do a review on those bulbs in your opinion.

I have always trusted sylvania for led interior lights because in my experience they lasted longer than many other led brands...I see very little testing of thr sylvania h11 and would like your opinion of this brand
Sylvania bulbs are reliable sure, but they aren't very bright. If you're wanting bright interior lights that are still very reliable get the GTR bulbs!

Unfortunately, if your vehicle came factory with HID you cannot easily swap to LED and even if you did, it would result in less light. I would recommend upgrading to something like the Osram Night Breaker Lasers!

The stock halogen bulb is not that good and effective. But if we talking about life of LED's it is better that HID's but as we are looking on the performance the HID's are best. So is there any way to keep both good things with us (life and performance) ?

I don't know anything about headlights. I own a 2011 f150 and would like to get brighter lights but also change the look. Can I get the cheaper after market headlight housings and then put the high dollar lights such as the GTR Ultra?
I would stick with your stock housings and install something like the Ultra 2.0!
I have a 2016 Dodge Charger with projector headlights and Halogen bulbs, they are really poor. I'm leaning towards the GTR Ultra 2 but wondering if I need the anti-flicker module. Some say it's not necessary but others say you don't need it. Any thoughts?
You will need a PWM module with any of the front end lighting bulbs you replace on this vehicle. The vehicle will throw error codes otherwise!
