Good point. Me and my brother were able to collect all of those over the years. The only game we never got our hands on was the Punisher. I'm happy I don't have to hook up entire game systems just to play certain games now.
I always remember in the late 2000s the remaining arcade consoles of Marvel vs Capcom 2 had not been taken care of, and just had very dull screens and looking old in general. It made the games look much older than they were. Street Fighter 2 and MvC 2 were the most common Capcom cabinets in Puerto Rico in the 2000s. King of Fighters and Fatal Fury were common too.
While playing MVC 1 and 2 will certainly be a good time, I've had those perfect Dreamcast ports to play. I'm excited to have arcade-perfect X-Men vs Street Fighter in my home for the first time, only took almost 30 years!

I remember the very first time I played MVC2 on the Dreamcast back in the day and all of my friends and I HATED the music choices. But we played the game SO much that it was burned into our minds.
I had the PC version. Aside from some gameplay issues because of the way Probe ported the game, presentation wise it was the ONLY arcade accurate looking version of the game. But ONLY if you installed the 16MB RAM version. The 8MB RAM version had cut down color and about a 30% reduction in animation frames. But still nothing as bad as what the PS1 got.
i consider the ps1 versions of XmenvSF,MSHvSF and MVC1 to be "unique" rather than absolute dogshit. hell you could say that at most the MVC1 ps1 port had some system mechanics that went on to influence later capcom games (i cant recall which ones)
That's a fair point. But at the same time those mechanics only got put in place to make up for the lack of a proper tag function. But at the end of the day, a gimped marvel is better than no marvel at all.
Buying it in Switch and PS4, and the ridiculous thing is that in thinking on buying a Switch lite to make it just and MvC little console, and i have an oled, the physical version im goin to let it there and the lite the digital, and im thinking on the digiral ps4 version too, f it.

Bruh. The only ones I actually own are the PS2 mvc2 and mvc1 on Dreamcast. All those other things are prices that I looked up online,I DO NOT own the rest. I have no desire to buy any one game for the price of a souped up PC.
Probably not. The roster being bloated is one reason why it's my LEAST favorite but then Cable is making his only playable appearance along with some others, balances things out a bit. If you enjoy unlocking a large majority of the cast with in game currency THAT is what will keep you interested if you're not necessarily that good at the game.
Yeah I'm getting the Switch and PS4 version physically just in case this collection gets delisted down the line.

Its insane how Capcom kept using the 1995 SF Alpha 1 sprites for years, and they still held up in 2000.
That was their peak for sprites. Alpha and Third Strike.
