Just saying the words Satan made spider man get divorced is so completely ridiculous it would be a mistake not to mention even if he's more of a main villain for ghost rider or silver surfer
It’s funny how Blackheart appeared in this series long before Ghost Rider, and when Ghost Rider finally shows up in both 3 and Infinite, Blackheart is absent
Blackheart is one of the first fighting game characters that introduced me to the concept of a "newb killer." A college friend used him on his MvC2 team and always wrecked shop. I was very new to fighting games at the time, and it left me a negative association with the character lol. While I'm still ass at Marvel games, I think I've gotten to the point where I can appreciate how cool Blackheart is.
Blackheart and Shuma Gorath legitimately threw me off as a kid because i wasn't exposesd to either of them in Marvel media and wasn't aware of their comic book appearances. But BH looks freaking sick, has an iconic stage, and is scary af. If MvC returns BH is one of my personal picks that hope returns along with Ghost Rider.
I think it's really funny to recommend a single comic for Blackheart so you can justify going "also go read daredevil, like, all of it, i'm not gonna get to say it later so i'm doing it now." Fair and morally correct, really. I kind of immediately want to point to Dorm feeling like a sort of stand-in for Blackheart in the later games, being another big body zoner with a massive multihit pillar special that often fights Doctor Strange and is generally demonic. It's probably superficial, but they definitely have similar vibes and some of Dorm's spells, especially the combined Destruction+Creation spells, remind me of stuff like Armageddon.

I always thought of Blackheart as a very cool character with a tall imposing sprite that makes him very intimidating. Ive always liked how blackheart looked in the games but disliked the way he plays, its not that hes slow its just his heavy kicks and punch that messes me up to the fact where i dont enjoy playing as him, otherwise i love his design as i said before and great video, a lengthy one even!

Just curious but have you heard the news about Kingdom Hearts 4 possibly being final conclusion in the series and Tetsuya Nomura retiring from game directing.
I thought he was one of the coolest looking characters in MvC2, which lead me to play as him a few times. Though, I do find it weird how a move called "inferno" summons an ice pillar. Like, couldn't they have used the fire variant so it would've fit better?
I'll always find it funny that some people would call Armageddon "Captain Crunch Berries". I know it's talking about Mephisto, but one of the many things that's so awful about One More Day are some of the rationales for the story. I can't remember who, but one of the higher-ups at Marvel thought Peter needed to be a bachelor again to help his popularity, despite the fact Peter and MJ had been married for a decade of real world time, and fans liked the pairing. Awful as that story was, it's still better than that one Gwen Stacy story that was so reviled Marvel has treated it like it never happened.
Gotta love how no matter what he's done, the one thing everyone will say about Mephisto is how he ruined Spider-Man's marriage

At 2:46 Ahh Wes Bentley. If motion capture was common in 2007, he could have done that as Blackheart so he could be comic book accurate. But if only filmmakers were gamers too.🤓🤣
27:02 also I did not expect too see that image of blackheart on a motorcycle with a little girl on his lap lmao
I definitely learned who Blackheart and Dormammu were from the VS games (as well as played them), so yeah they were practically the same guy to me!
You son of a gun, I can hear Mephiles theme through the video.
The Wes Bentley Version Of Blackheart looks like Benjamin Burley from rock band Breaking Benjamin have you noticed that for some reason
Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter introduced me to Blackheart. Son of the devil is pretty cool
“I have been looking forward to this”
One of marvel’s more underrated villains
Blackheart alongside Shuma are characters I'm glad got in MvC to show the more obscure part of Marvel especially with the mcu just touching the tip of the Marvel universe
As a kid you bet I was super confused who Blackheart was and the Ghost rider movie didn't help either but theses days, I find him super interesting and wish he could appear in another adaptation with a comic accurate design
I’m going to be honest, the Capcom fighting games was my introduction to the character. XD
When im was young, i was very scared of Blackheart, his music was so scary and his apperance with his distorced voice gives more creepy vibes.
The only reason im didnt play MSH and MSHvsSF its because of him Lol
The tortured souls in the background kinda look like Kermit the frog silhouettes
Mephisto lord of hell, sower of discord, ruiner of spider mans marriage
Man I hope we get him in 3D he's one of my favorites from MvC
That guy from ghost rider 2007.
It's funny.... When I saw Blackheart for the first time. It was in a Mugen video. Along with his Hell stage....
I honestly thought he was a final boss character. Which to be fair to my teen self. He DOES look intimidating....
Needing more power to overthrow someone?
Definitely sounds similar to Vergil, I think I now understand why Capcom chose this character.
Would love to see both Blackheart and Shuma come back for MvC4 now that the fighting game collection has exposed them to a new generation of Marvel fans.
I haven't heard BlackHeart for long while I hope he makes a comeback someday alongside Shuma Gortha together
(🖤 & 💚)
He reminds me of NEO DIO from the World Heroes series
I really want to see World Heroes characters in a new SNK vs Capcom crossover
Fuuma, Ryoko, Brocken, Mudman, NEO DIO and Kisarah Westfield (she actually came from Aggressors of Dark Kombat but SNK owns her)
I think SNK's definitely open to using WH characters in crossovers. IIRC, Jeanne D'Arc was DLC in SNK Heroines?
@@TheSeventhForce It is true that Jeanne D'Arc appeared in SNK Heroines as DLC
There is also a cameo of Mudman in one of the stages of KOF XV
Sadly, those are the only World Heroes references in recent SNK games
Looks like they only care about reviving Fatal Fury and Art of Fighing over World Heroes 😞
Edit: There is also a World Heroes official manga released in 2018
It was made by one of the ex members of Alpha Denshi/ADK who became a mangaka
Sadly it never got translated
too bad. KoF vs Street Fighter featuring Morrigan 😘✌️
Ive always liked how blackheart looked in the games but disliked the way he plays, its not that hes slow its just his heavy kicks and punch that messes me up to the fact where i dont enjoy playing as him, otherwise i love his design as i said before and great video, a lengthy one even!
Honestly, I felt the same until working on this video. Took me a while to wrap my head around his brand of zoning, but something clicked at one point and I've really been having fun with him now.
@@TheSeventhForce after reading your comment, I should give blackheart another chance whenever I get the collection
Hey TheSeventhForce why you don't make a video qbout Terry to celebrate his coming to SF6 making him and the CvS apparently canon thanks to his end cinematic?
I already did a Terry video a few months back, but a SF6 centric one might be something I do later on!
Mai I hope you do her Legacy I hope you mentioned Dead or Alive Fall Guy and Street Fighter
@@TheSeventhForce I do not remember the video, but I would surely love the SF6 video as a special video
The comic looks amazing
Just curious but have you heard the news about Kingdom Hearts 4 possibly being final conclusion in the series and Tetsuya Nomura retiring from game directing.
I thought he was one of the coolest looking characters in MvC2, which lead me to play as him a few times. Though, I do find it weird how a move called "inferno" summons an ice pillar. Like, couldn't they have used the fire variant so it would've fit better?
One of the best themes in the game
I'll always find it funny that some people would call Armageddon "Captain Crunch Berries".
I know it's talking about Mephisto, but one of the many things that's so awful about One More Day are some of the rationales for the story. I can't remember who, but one of the higher-ups at Marvel thought Peter needed to be a bachelor again to help his popularity, despite the fact Peter and MJ had been married for a decade of real world time, and fans liked the pairing. Awful as that story was, it's still better than that one Gwen Stacy story that was so reviled Marvel has treated it like it never happened.
My favorite character in these games.
