    ℹ️ About This Episode
After roughly six weeks of full-time living in our new truck camper, this video goes through all the features and comforts of our new home.
With endless options in overland vehicle choices, and after years of contemplation, mixed with several changes, we fortunately ended up with Victor. Not the largest of truck campers, nor the largest or most popular in pop-up truck campers. Without a lot of other TH-cam videos (one) of Hallmark Campers, we leaned heavily on several key features that were important to us.
The Roof Top Tent concept was out for us, due to simply wanting more space and comfort for full time living. We were willing to for-go some flexibility in the places we could go, for the additional comforts.
To date we have zero regrets about this!
Key Features we were looking for:
Four Season Camper - knowing we would be hard pressed to freeze pipes in cold climates or unexpected weather changes. Also knowing the insulation value for hot days would not immediately be transferring that heat inside.
Walk On Roof - although having a photography platform was a bit of a bonus, the main reason for this was our level of comfort in the build quality. In addition, we knew having storage capabilities was going to be important, so knowing the roof was structural sound was nonnegotiable.
12 Volt A/C - having the ability to have a safe place for our dogs when hiking in National Parks, was vital. Several hour day hikes are a big part of our plans! However dogs are not allowed off any paved trails.
    Thank you Dometic RTX-2000!!!
It’s worth noting that many popup truck campers do not allow the addition of an A/C unit. Just relying on wind and cooler weather was not acceptable to us. This also made us unsure on the strength and durability of the camper if it could not hold a (roughly) 75 lb. A/C unit.
Motorized Roof - FIRST, in perfect clarity, motorized in this case is by using a robust cordless drill. There is no pre-installed motor (this is an option Hallmark can install). What we did not want to do, was manually push the roof up. Referring back to our desire to store gear on the roof, pushing all that up, in addition to the weight of the roof, was a show stopper.
Build Quality & NO Condensation - from our very basic knowledge of building a camper, building out a van, and the importance of what type of insulation used, to how it’s installed, we knew asking for a blend of two perfect worlds was not going to come cheap. This one topic could take up pages of writing. So that you don’t get scared away by the data, do your own research. Know what campers have condensation issues, and know why Hallmark builds a much different truck camper. Hallmark has pages of information on their website.
A good first stop is www.hallmarkrv.com/factory/
You can also start asking other popup truck camper owners “how do you manage your condensation issues”
Another good question regarding insulation and heating efficiency is “how often are you refilling your propane tank”

does the table turn into a bed?

I'm searching for a high quality popup camper and I'm leaning toward Alaskcan strictly for its hard side construction, but I do like Hallmark too. They just seem a bit pricey for what you get. Frankly, all campers are overpriced if you ask me, but that's inflation for you. Any issues with condensation on the soft sides? That's a major concern for me. How much did the Victor cost?

Great looking camper, are the tent sides a blackout material? I want to keep the morning sun out to keep the kiddos sleeping in as long as possible.

Thanks for all that guys! You have a heck of a neat power system there. Is that all part of the standard package, or a Hallmark option, or a custom install? Would you be willing to share a ball park round number for the cost of your rig as outfitted?

I have the same windows as your lower windows you talked about in our Rugged Mountain camper and absolutely love them. Have you had any scratches on the windows yet?

Fantastic overview, Y'all! Definitely added Hallmark to our short list when we're ready to seriously shop. Too bad they won't be at Overland East here in VA next month so especially thankful for your video here. Are there any 110v outlets in addition to the 12v outlets?

Hey guys, great job! I have been looking at a lot of different units but based on your review I will give these folks a look. One question, I am 6'3" tall and I'm curious how much head room you have inside the camper. Thanks again.

Great video and look forward to checking out the podcast and other videos There are so few reviews on Hallmark units. What is the best way to contact you for further questions regarding the camper?

New to your channel, but, an avid camping, overlanding enthusiast. 21 years we've tent camped, looking to upgrade to this setup! Never looked much at Hallmark pop tops, now, I'm interested! I noticed some features 4 Wheel doesn't offer and the Supertramp lt is still too new. Can't wait to see more. Super impressed you don't suffer condensation like many others, is it due to Hallmarks construction or materials? Great video, fun, you 2 are a wonderful team, appreciate you both! God bless.
