Absolutely, lots in the pipeline for 2025 including touge style track battles! Stay tuned. We went out separately this track day because we split the morning/afternoon. He had to go to work (excuse), so he offered for me to drive in the afternoon when he left. Thanks for watching
Jim really sends it, he knew there are more time left on the table, maybe next time after he gets a new suspension setup then he can try again to get that 1:25
We have a bet already. First one into the 25’s gets free steak dinner. Should be able to both do it next year whether it’s new tires, or more mods… one way or another 😂.
Dude, why the hell isn’t your sub count beyond 10k yet? I’ve been here since the beginning and your insight is so good! TH-cam needs to step up their damn algo!
I've been a subscriber since day one and for some reason the TH-cam Algo doesnt auto play his videos as next in queue despite me watching other track videos. It's whack.
Honestly can say the videos are getting better each and every time.. loved the video. Where was the grey M2C? Jim - ‘that was a conservative lap 😂’ jim - ‘is that wind tunnel tested?’ 😂 jim - ‘can you stand in it?’ lmao😂
Awesome sessions, been watching and learning from you guys for a bit now as I work to setup my M2 (Just doing Trackcross somewhat stock for now) I’m curious what in the heck was that GoPro mount setup on your helmet? Do you run that so you have an option to not run visor down?
@@DriversPaddock Awesome thanks for the info, another thing 2018 LCI M2 and had the tpms warning come on (forced comfort mode) with lowered pressures at the track. Curious how you deal with that? Did you code it out or reset it at the lower temps and that worked fine? Also would love to hear any other coding/tips you have for tracking an M2, thanks!
Awesome video and cars man!....what type of career fields do you guys work in? Looking to switch careers to something with more free time for track days and builds
Stuck between switching from c6z to f87 or g87 for track and street. Need input. Was has higher ceiling. How reliable are f87? I know you had an issue with your power train that you addressed! Cheers
I recommend you drive them all before making a decision. They are very different. The g87 is the best road car out of those and probably has the highest Tuneability with that monster s65 engine, but it’s also the heaviest. So many factors to consider.. are you lapping or doing time attack ? Do you care much about consumables or just all out pace? The easiest to drive will be the vette in my opinion. Yes, I had to replace a transmission unfortunately. I bent a gear rod … dropped a used one off an m4 for $3500 cad and called it a day. With transmissions costing $3500, engines off crashed m3/4 around $10,000, AP brakes that run reasonably priced pads… 18 inch tires…I’m happy with my f87 as a long term track car. No over heating.. runs lap after lap.
Nice drivin'... Is the M2C the fastest BMW platform for track that you've seen? G series are pigs. F M3/M4's are heavier. E9x M3's should be roughly on par for lap times?
Hey! Thanks for watching! The turbo charged cars just have a higher ceiling compared to the e9x. Downpipe and a tune yields upwards for 80+ WHP. The M2C is a great platform but its main limiting factor is tires… you can’t fit more than a 275 front and 295 rear without extensive work whereas the f82 and G8x cars can easily fit 305/315. Look up the weight of a DCT M2C and compare to an f82 m4 and do the same with the g87 and g82… you’d be surprised to find they weigh very similar. Bonus.. look up f82 m4 cs weight vs f87 😅 Then Look up the bimmerworld GTmore f82 m4… 👀 😮
@@DriversPaddock Ahhh awesome, thanks a ton for your reply. You're right the M2C isn't as light as I thought. Maybe the answer is the 1M with 295/30/18's square, although the N54 engine sucks compared to the S55.
His car does have ABS but when you’re in a spin and the tire is at an angle to the momentum, abs won’t do anything. The tire is scrubbing at that point. There was just too much angle. Thanks for watching!!
You need at least 305 to the rear the car is sliding around, AMG GTR PRO with the same tires as this VW's would smoke them forward and back. BMW is sliding and losing time too skinny tires bro
Ahh I wish I could fit wider tires. The 2C fits 295 max in the rear and the fronts max out at 275 unless we play with track width. Car is much better on fresh tires 😂. The m4’s easily fit 305-315 on both axels, maybe that’s a better route. Agreed. AMG GTR Pro is much… much… faster.
The way you articulate the technical breakdown of setup/technique/feel is top of youtube. Keep grinding our very own Canadian Stig/Misha!
😮 😳
Amazing video and driving! Glad i was able to find a channel with local track content
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
Great driving and amazing the f87 m2 with no aero and dead tires keeps up with high aero cars 3x + $$$ its price.
Killer driving and edit J, so much fun to be part of the video, can’t wait for next season
Thanks! More fun to come. Can't wait for more of these battles next year.
Great video and even better driving!! Just subscribed to keep up with your upcoming events 🏎️
Glad you enjoyed it, lots more to come!
Super entertaining... love the videos, keep it up. Need more track battles like this. Would be amazing to get you and Jim on track at the same time.

Daaaaaamn J in the house. Love the editing, more and more fun to watch

+1
Thanks for being with us… hoping to grow together and see how the channel continues to improve and evolve.

@ For something so advanced it sure is stupid.
Editing and driving on point. Keep it up. More of the inbetween driving interactions would be good. Loved it
Glad you enjoyed it, stay tuned for more, we're mixing things up next year with the content. 😉
Push over the limit, and reach a new stage.
That's an amazing lap
Awesome lap run J.
🙏 will be back next year with fresh tires !
awesome vid can’t wait until next year!
Thanks for watching, we’ve got plenty in the works for next year. 👀
Honestly can say the videos are getting better each and every time.. loved the video. Where was the grey M2C?
Jim - ‘that was a conservative lap 😂’
jim - ‘is that wind tunnel tested?’ 😂
jim - ‘can you stand in it?’ lmao😂
Grey m2 too slow.
Which part was your favourite?
Great driving. I was rooting for you to break your record!
I’m going to try my best next time with fresh tires! Thanks for watching.
Production quality is really good. keep it up
Appreciate that, always trying to improve.
Great narration, Jim's excuses were top tier 😂😂
He has a whole book of them.

I’m curious what in the heck was that GoPro mount setup on your helmet? Do you run that so you have an option to not run visor down?
I run an insta360 3s Inside the helmet when I race or when I have to run visor down. Otherwise, I use gopro arms above the visor.

bro, this shit is so cool.
Thanks for watching
Not even enough excuses & tape
Don't get me started... the mosquitoes on the back straight really slowed me down...
Let’s do it next year!!
6 way battle? 😂
that's sick....

Excuse game was pretty weak tbh.
That's because I won by .01... Can you imagine if I lost? Only I know how many videos didn't made it to the channel because of a loss :P
Does Jims car not have ABS? Flat spot like that in a street car is unusual
