Even over 2 tons, you could see this car was confidence inspiring with every input. That just over the limit control through some of those bumpy corners was fun to watch, too bad that GT3 didn’t want to play more.
Nice lap ! I remember when people were complaining about this generation of 7 series, especially the restyled version like this one with the bigger grille. Glad to see most commenters here finding it beautifull.
What a beauty! The interior is f*cking phenomenal! Its amazing having a car that can be a beast on a track and still look beautiful and have an interior like this one does. Also, I absolutely love the expressions when the owner of the car is learning in real time what their car is capable of 😂 that Alpina is no joke! Absolute beast.
I had an E46 Alpina B3 3.3 saloon. An absolutely magnificent straight six bolted to an unreliable cost-engineered pile of junk (early E46s weren't very well made). Factory claimed 276bhp crank, mine made 272 at the wheels with the automatic gearbox. Suspension was sharp yet pliant. Loved it for the way it went, the noise it made, and the way it looked. Hated it for the amount of electrical gremlins and stupid breakages which cost a small fortune to keep it running. Best fault - the sunroof motor catching fire because a clip had fallen off in the sunroof tray, jammed the mechanism, and the motor had no resistance cut off. It just kept trying to move the thing until it overheated and caught fire.
The E46 is one of the most reliable bmw's ever build. That's why there are still so many on the road. Your description is definitely wrong. Reliable as hell if maintained. Engine and Chassis.
@@Diac13 I understand you want to defend the E46, but I can't be wrong about a car I owned and spent a lot of money on repairing things that shouldn't have broken. Threre's probably more Ive forgotten, but al that in 30k miles on what was then a 6 year old car is not reliable. Like Mercedes of the same period, the build quality had gone in favour of profits.
