- I show the steps to descale a Keurig K Slim coffee maker with the Keurig brewer cleanse kit. The kit comes with a descaling solution and k cups for cleaning the needles and cup drain.

I used the Keurig kit to descale as you describe. It worked, but, in my case, it took the fourth reservoir before the descaling light went off.

Good to know...I've been running descaling on my own (vinegar, sometimes citric acid-I use that in the dishwasher instead of liquid descaling like Finish) but have never gotten the light to go off. I'm doing it right now, second tank on fresh water and the light is still flashing. I'm glad you posted stevetice!

@@FIXITHomeImprovementChannel I still had to run clear water up to four tanks, with no change to the flashing De Scale light. What FINALLY got it to stop, and not mentioned in video or comments is to run the tank of fresh water OUT. I had been refreshing the water so as NOT to let it run dry, but as soon as it happened, that darn light FINALLY went out. I have the K Slim, Plus? The same as in your video...

I use a tablet of denture cleaner. Drop a tablet onto the water reservoir, let it totally dissolve and run the descaling mode. When it’s done run a couple rinse cycles until the light goes off. Done!
If you get a ADD WATER because the inlet gets clogged, The easy way is get a paper towel and a straw, wet the paper towel creating a seal and place the straw into the water inlet, blow gently into and hold the paper towel and straw to form a seal and continue to blow a couple times until you hear the air flow through the outlet. DONE!

Hi, the descale light just lets you know when you should descale. Using the solution when brewing will clean the unit.

My Keurig doesn't go out of descale mode, It never gets to the add water point?, I burnt out a few of these because the water dried up??

Can i ask how can i Descale my kurieg workout the light coming on . I messed up the first time & my coffee doesn’t taste good . I need to redo it . Can i ??
Hi, yes, you can descale anytime. You can also try vinegar.

Ok guess I missed the wait 30 minutes part and already ran through clean water alot of water..descale light still on

Its not advisable to follow the descaling instructions on the bottle. Follow the instructions on the quick start guide .
