The MOST important thing you need to do EVERY day is after you are done using it do a 10 oz rinse cycle without a pod. this will flush oils and grounds out of yur top needle and keep it clean. once a month run a rinse pod. and it will last for years!!!!
This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.
White vinegar is 5% acetic acid. The Keurig descaler solution is citric acid. It does a better job at dissolving the mineral deposits and scale than vinegar.
Erm my instructions say run the rinse 4x on the 12oz setting- not 12x . - you read the directions wrong lol or maybe it changed since this video was done...? 🤷♀️🤔
In fact, on the bottle in my box, the label is a peel off label on the front, starting at the bottom right corner of the label. Peel it off and the instructions are on the inside of that front label.
Great video but why does the kit include 1 application of descaling solution that you use completely, 2 filters and 4 cleaning pods? What are 4 cleaning pods for when you only use 1??
The cleaning pods can be used to clean the brewing area every other week or so. The filter needs to be changed every 3 months or so. The descaling procedure can be done every 6 months
This video teaches you how to clean the Keurig machine, not how to brew a cup. Here’s a video on the machine and at the end of the video I brew a cup: Keurig K-Supreme Coffee Maker Unboxing, Initial Setup, and Review th-cam.com/video/g2BhUtcXZQ4/w-d-xo.html
Usually it goes away by itself after these steps, but if not try this website: mykup.com/descale-clean-keurig-k-supreme-plus-k910-k920-brewer-coffee-maker/
the instructions said run until the add water notification pops up and it didnt. i ran it a 3rd time and the machine started steaming (or smoking) =/ yeah twice is good enough hope it still works. now just waiting the 30 minz
This guy is 100% incorrect. Pressing the 8oz and 12 oz button together for 3 seconds when the MACHINE IS TURNED OFF and plugged in will place the machine in descale mode. This is the most confusing instructional video on TH-cam. I can read the box myself for instructions, reading the machine’s instruction book will give you specific instructions for the model you own
@@buzzincalifornia this guy bought the kit to review but his descale light was not on. on some models the light is activated by sensors that sence the presents of scale but many are activated by a certain amount of brews and the only way to stop the light is to go through the process in a descale mode
Heather, you’re not an idiot, all you need to do is read the machines instructions, in the case of the 2.0 the machine has a DESCALE MODE to clean the machine and you’ll be fine
I had this guy on x2. He was so slow that I understood everything at that speed. Edit you videos and cut out all the uuuhs uuums word fumbles and pauses. This should be a 3 minute video tops. Somehow at x2 it was still twice as long as it should have been.
Sorry but this is NOT the Video to watch for Descaling a Keurig machine!! This Guy is Not Reading the Simple Instructions properly- you have to HOLD the 8 oz & 12 oz. Buttons Simultaneously to Get the DESCALE MODE ON.
Thank you. This is a great tutorial.
This is the best video I found on how to properly clean my Keurig - thank you!!!!!!

You gotta use the descale mode by pressing 8 oz and 12 at the same time,, then run your solution threw the descale mode
Wow. It says that nowhere. Thanks
I tried this on my Keurig smart brewer, didn’t work
@@JB-is4gt just returned my kit back to Amazon. I'm going to try the vinegar descaling method.

Awesome video, just followed each step easily!
Bravo! A great video. It answered all my questions.
Thank you for the video. It was very helpful!
Thank you very much for posting this.
No Have to hold the 12oz and the 8oz button at the same time till the descale light comes on
Thanks a lot! I was clueless as to how to properly clean mine. You're a life saver.
Thank you for the inservice.
Thanks for to the point tutorial 😀
Worked perfectly. Thanks
Glad you did this. The Kit instructions cause me ADHD. Mine does not have the filter in the reservoir. ?
Did the package not come with a filter?
@@ViratPatelYT nothing. I have the big clear plastic piece holding water, with no middle insert.
@@djkenny1202 hmmm, maybe look around in the box, it should be there. It’s possible they got rid of it on newer models
@@ViratPatelYT its weird. I have the kit, was stumped trying to find the filter somewhere? Then, saw this..
Thats how you don't do it!
The machine must be off and you press 8oz. and 12oz. at the same time and that will put you in descal mode.
Thank you
I second that the solution is CITRIC ACID, a completely different acid than Acetic Acid (Vinegar is ~5% Acetic)

This was great. Thank you!
Where the heck are we supposed to get that water filter holder? Sold separately from machine
i don't remember getting the reservoir with my keurig. is that usually sold separately?
Thank you! Super helpful!
My keurig is a different model, so I don't have that clear tube to put the water filter pod in. :-(
Thank you really helped !
I use the pod rinse instead of pure water is there much difference in pure water and the Rinse pod solutions
The solution is acidic so helps breakdown the buildup
When do you brew coffee?
Lol, this is a very long process, but definitely helpful!

But definitely I’ll check out your other videos!
Thank you for the video it was perfect 👍🏽
They give you 4 Keurig Rinse Pods but only 1 bottle of solution. What do you do with the other 3 Rinse Pods?
Rinse pods are supposed to be used monthly. Even when you’re not descaling
What if I don’t have a filter to put the water filter does it apply to my machine?
You can use it without filter
So how do you turn of the descaling light… I followed your directions
Usually it goes away by itself after these steps, but if not try this website: mykup.com/descale-clean-keurig-k-supreme-plus-k910-k920-brewer-coffee-maker/
When do use the rinse pod after the descale process
You can use the rinse pod every month or every couple of weeks to clean the pod compartment between descaling events
Uhhh my keurig doesn’t have the little pack filter thing so do I just leave it in there??
If you don't have a spot for the filter, you don't have to use it.
Mine never said add water after I descaled
My Keurig doesn’t have a filter thingy. Can it just float or is that a separate attachment I can purchase?
Not sure if you can purchase it separately. You can buy a Brits jug and add water to your reservoir after filtering through Brita.
When I bought my Keurig, there were only 4 or 5 brands of coffee you could buy.
What if your keurig didn’t come with a filter?
Then you don’t need one, use prefiltered water to fill your reservoir
the instructions said run until the add water notification pops up and it didnt. i ran it a 3rd time and the machine started steaming (or smoking) =/
yeah twice is good enough
hope it still works. now just waiting the 30 minz
Don’t worry, it’ll be fine
Why would you run descale threw water filter. Should have pulled water filter out did descale rinse re-install water filter
That kuerig has descale mode watch just a dad video , he shows every step
Thank you! Looked it up and found it!
Well, he was helping the ppl who DONT have a descale mode. 😁
Jeez, in 2022, one would think they’d be a much simpler solution to clean this out.
Why you need simpler then dump fill dump
12 times! are you joking?
Once put back together it would turn on then shut off , now it won't even turn on after reset
Can this work for a ninja dualbrew pro?
The solution and pods will work just fine, but the filter may not fit.
@@ViratPatelYT thanks, I’m guessing I follow the cleaning instructions in the book since it has a smart clean function and a carafe then

Why did you have to wait 30 minutes earlier part of the video?
I was just following the instructions. Perhaps to let the descaling solution work on the interior tubing.
Where did you get the filter holder
You can buy it on Amazon or target

Who gets 12 12 oz cups out of that amount of water?
