Colgera Battle Theme from The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom in the style of Dark Souls Original by: Manaka Kataoka Maasa Miyoshi Masato Ohashi Tsukasa Usui Arranged and produces by: Kevin Grim
@@Ninjaananas Nah easiest is by far Marbled Gohma. In the four or five times that you fight it in the main story and Depths I got hit a total of one time.
If this doesn’t make you feel like a hylian knight with a legendary sword that seals the darkness fighting against a giant wind serpent in the most cinematic way possible then idk what will
Colgera may be the easiest boss but the road to the temple, the music when you fight it and the mechanic of slamming into the body to hurt it really makes it the most epic despite its low difficulty
@@blue_lux I just did this boss for the first time... for some reason I never thought to dive into its body cuz I thought that'd just kill me from fall damage. So I apparently cheesed it without realizing by using bullet time fire arrows when he attacked from below and killing all his weak points in 1 go each phase. :/ I bet it'd have been cooler if I dived.
Imagine being some Dark Souls character, wandering into a gigantic whirlwind, seeing the name "Winter Wyrm Colgera" , getting pounded by icicles as you flail in the high winds, and wishing you had a glider while this music plays.
Imagine if Colgera had an attack where it grew spikes on it's underside and then did a spinning swoop attack at you like the aerocuda while sending the spikes everywhere followed by it going into a portal and doing it's ambush attack

I always imagined Tulin Falling. Out of the other sages he's the one most likely to become a Sith. Of course, Sidon was scared of losing everyone, but Tulin was already going down that path, around halfway down it, even. "Fear leads to Anger. Anger leads to Hate. Hate leads to Suffering." -Master Yoda
@@MagnustheValiant true but i kind of feel like if yunobo still had the mask he would be already in the darkness. but for tulin he’s still trying to help out rito village although that’s similar to Anakin when he wanted to help padme. but tulin is still just a child. idk maybe i’m standing up for him bc he’s my favorite character in the game
Very strange coincidence that the game I did a play through of before playing totk was dark souls remastered and i loved both games and now someones made this masterpiece that combines both games music and sounds really good.
You're fighting Colgera, shooting arrows at it or diving through it's icy bellies, when suddenly the music shifts from flutes and drums into an orchestral symphony of death topped with a heavenly choir, while Colgera's wings like sharp massive blades start swiping at you , taking 3/4 of your hearts on a single hit. You try to get behind him, in order to avoid the wings, all while dodging huge icy spikes only to be surprised by a tail whip that takes you out once and for all. You realize that you suck at the game and drop it after just the first boss.
Oh damn, you really captured the souls feeling but slammed it with windwakers aesthetic, the fluttery flutes persist. I actually need a game with this music! amazing job
This has been in my watch later for months because I hadn't fought Colgera yet. Finally beat it last night, so I had to stop by. I am not disappointed.
This bossfight was infinitely more difficult than it needed to be for me because I didn't have anything to resist the extreme cold, almost no food, and I didn't know you could use a bow to hit the weak spots. 10/10 remix
I fought Colgera (boss rush) without the paraglider from new game and this soundtrack would have been perfect for that difficulty. (Video of this is in editing stage rn)
First and foremost this is a wonderful arrangement and I absolutely love what you've done with it. It is a great Dark Souls version at first but the first drop makes it feel more like an epic theme especially with the use of modern effects. After the middle section you fall in and out of Dark Souls. Overall I feel like it needs to be more haunting to be considered Dark Souls. This feels more like an epic cover but it is a really good epic cover.
I haven't analyzed any dark souls tracks or anything but I feel like dark souls tends to only use the instruments it needs and doesn't overlap voices like this cover does. Dark Souls boss themes are also rarely fast paced as this is. I think they got the instrumentation pretty right overall though
The first time i heard the part of the "Dragon roost island" in this song when i was playing i was simply AMAZED. I thought, im not only searching Zelda or triying to restore de Master sword, no. I am figthing to protect the Orni, they deserve the peace they had on that island
this music would fit perfectly if colgera took you from the wind temple all the way to rito village during the fight imagine reaching rito village while fighting colgera just as the leimotif for the village kicks in
problem the giant tornado surrounding the storm wind ark (aka the wind temple) everyone will die at least sent flying across hyrule and that's only for the adults and children of the rito the baby rito will die 100% and same for the other races unless you plan for the tornado to die down halfway
@@arcticfluffyfoxy could just say that the storm dies down as it leaves the storm wind ark. Easy answer to why no one dies. Also people would most likely run away? Just have the fight take place around the lake so it doesn't hit the village and it works fine as far as I can tell
Dang, I feel like some of these key changes are very uncommon for Dark Souls style of scoring, but you've managed to make a good case for it. Really nice job!
Nintendo and FromSoftware need to co-develop and produce a Zelda game with all the elements of Dark Souls, soundtrack included. An insanely difficult Zelda with bosses as hard and frustrating as Dark Souls would be fantastic.
Kinda a "Fighting the Nameless King thru the thunder clouds ontop of dragons, high above Lordran" vibes. 1:36 Def that moment you see a silhouette of Solaire in the flashes of lightning, throwing a piss-missle of a Sunlight spear across the sky
I went through one of the sweatiest most difficult physically excerpting exercises of my entire life while listening to this banger. I’m 14, and since I was 2 I’ve had this extremely rare form of muscular dystrophy. I can’t spell it for the life of me but less than 5,000 Americans have been diagnosed with it. I’ve always had trouble building muscle and as a result have been a twig for most of my life. It wasn’t until soon after my 14th birthday (the same day totk came out) when I stopped with the excuses and got my gym rat brother to start taking me to the gym. After beating totk this was easily one of my favorite tracks, and so I added this to my gym playlist. I can remember recently lifting 12 reps of 180 pounds on one of the harder machines, and only pushed through because of that amazing climax. Thank you, and bravo.
The boss fight might've been the opposite difficulty to Dark Souls but this version of Colgera's theme definitely goes hard as Dark Souls' difficulty.
yes.
Even if it was easy, it was still fun as hell.

You can defeat Colgera with two bullet times.
If this doesn’t make you feel like a hylian knight with a legendary sword that seals the darkness fighting against a giant wind serpent in the most cinematic way possible then idk what will

Giant serpent maybe, but idk if a Dark-Souls-style theme of all things is appropriate for an unambiguous hero with a legendary sword.
