It doesn’t sound evil or menacing. It sounds beautiful and dynamic. You’re not fighting the evil king Ganondorf. You’re fighting a divine being. Whenever someone turns into a dragon they will loose everything. The beast is called ”Demon Dragon“. It’s not even being mentioned who owned its life before the transformation. Great arrangement as always.
@@land0ndraws730 yes but it doesn’t mention ganondorf as a person. His whole personality was devoured. The only thing that remains is his power or in other words the curse of demise.
In a way it works. The actual final battle of the game is with ganondorf under the castle. The dragon is a similar situation to dark beast ganon: its more so a playable cutscene that exists for the spectacle and not necessarily for the gameplay.
@@orange_turtle3412 What's interesting is that with the lore revealed in Tears of the Kingdom about which beasts represent the three pieces of the Triforce and the Goddesses.. it even means that Ganon isn't even necessarily related to Ganondorf as much as we thought. The beast association goes: Wisdom - Owls Courage - Dragons Power - Boars Meaning Ganondorf's transformation into a monstrous boar had nothing to do with Ganondorf himself.. It's the literal, physical manifestation of the Triforce of Power unleashed to its limit. Ganon is basically Power Incarnate, while Ganondorf (the OoT one) merely wields the Triforce of Power. As for why Courage is attributed to Dragons.. I would say it's because of all the things Courage (or 'Yuuki' in Japanese) is meant to represent, particularly in Japanese culture. It's not merely bravery, but boldness and a willingness to stand fast and press forward. It's facing down impossible odds through sheer force of will - something very appropriate for dragons, and even in the Zonai terms, it represents the determination to sacrifice yourself for your ambition or your desire, something which takes a great deal of courage and temerity.
The best way I can compare Breath of the Wild's final boss and Tears of the Kingdom's is pretty simple, and both are vastly reflected in their respective themes. BotW's gives off this feeling of timelessness, just a general "oh, how sweet. Let's kick his ass again!" TotK makes sure you know this is how the tale ends.
TotK's final battle is easy but definitely more cinematic. I mean I love killing a giant bore as much as the next guy but dragon on dragon battling is always great
@@dash_dash100and the best part is that your not just fighting some random dragon your fighting a divine being basically a mighty powerful god that should be represent peace but something went wrong type of dragon

This game's final boss is spectacular a massive step up from BOTW and while this phase isn't the hardest it has a kick ass theme, and this is a fantastic rendition my friend. Spectacular job!
I see it as a reward for completing the second phase. Would love to see a Master Mode fight where the Gloom breath it shoots at you follows you briefly so they're harder to dodge
@@jsc1jake512 exactly that. I like to view TotK's finale as a "successful" take on what BotW was going for. They made the "final" boss actually challenging when compared to Calamity Ganon, and then took the "cinematic victory lap" idea they arealdy had down from BotW and somehow dialed it up to 87
I clocked in 180 hours before getting to the final fight, and this moment made my jaw drop. I had SOME expectations going into this, but I had no suspicions I would be fighting a dragon!…This is the most fun Zelda game I’ve ever played!
Yeah I got the dragon part spoiled to me😅 What made up for it was the part earlier in the game where you're about to go into death mountain and the giant marble hydra worm thing comes out.
The best final boss in the entire Zelda series..... What a fight, this one was! SOOO happy someone FINALLY made a remix of this!! And happy it was you who did it, because your remixes are ALWAYS top-notch!! Excellent job again!!
Now why in the world doesn't the original sound like this This is exactly what I'd expect from a final boss theme where you're fighting a dragon for the fate of the world
If you want a real answer, it’s because this approach doesn’t fit the established musical character of the game; it’s a homogenized unstylized arrangement that wears your ears down and sounds like every other final battle track. The original is deliberately more subdued to reflect the pensive emotional qualities of the game and story, has greater dynamic range, and works better in context. In the end it has a lasting emotional impact. This arrangement just sounds like everything else you’d hear and is more forgettable as a result.
Best remix to exist. If there is any final boss music I could think of, it would be this magnificent masterpiece. Your remix filled me with chills. I love this way to much. Excellent job well done!
@Justin-ku1ni 1) it could have been a cutscene where the demon dragon got too strong, and it takes all 4 dragons to make one massive divine attack to let link deal the finishing blow. 2) they could’ve given the demon dragon elemental attacks where you had to jump on the dragon with opposite element in order to survive
We need extended versions 😭 i want to use this for a dnd fight. It would be so amazing. It captures this titanic battle, it makes the warrior feel small facing something unfathomably large. It is the exact kind of like... Hopelessness that you cannot help but wrench hope from the void. You cannot do this so YOU WILL DO THIS.
I have been saying this since botw, but these games lack the ost previous Zelda titles have. But today when I finally finish totk, and i heard this... damn, what a good final boss theme.
La original me gustaba pero sentia que el soundtrack caresia de lo que se suponía era el momento climax, tu diste realmente con eso que buscaba, esto si se siente entre emocionante, epico y divino, se siente como el punto cumbre
I actually managed to get a good picture of Ganondorf in his 1st phase, 2nd phase, and when he was the Demon Dragon. Of course, it was a little difficult getting a good picture of the Demon Dragon while on Dragon Zelda's nose, cause I kept slipping off.
@ValunarTonix Yes. It completely removes everything unless it is being used. It will show hearts when you take damage, but they are not visible otherwise. Same goes for stamina, if you are running, paragliding, etc., then stamina will show, but otherwise it remains hidden.
I’m pretty sure Twilight Princess is the only time Ganondorf isn’t stabbed in the head Instead he’s stabbed in his open wound Even the dragon that isn’t Ganondorf anymore doesn’t escape this fate
Considering what this guy did to Link, Zelda and all of Hyrule, he more than deserves the Master Sword in the head. It felt so cathartic to put an end to the darkness.
