praying you’re still on this youtube channel since it’s been 9 years, i got my radiator all apart man i just cannot get the heater core hoses off the radiator not even to save my life… i’ve attempted everything from WD-40 to pliers i just can’t get it off.. any recommendations, you made it sound easy but i feel like they haven’t changed this radiator since the car was made 😂
I just helped a neighbor replace some hoses on his Mercedes. There were metal rings inside the hose that were completely corroded and rusted. Ended up cutting off the hose a few inches out from the radiator and running a screwdriver through the hose to leverage on it to try twisting it after we let it soak with WD-40 overnight. We only did that because there was no room to grab the hose with our hands in the engine compartment. Also make sure that metal clip is pulled up completely. And good luck!
Was trying to see if there was something else holding the radiator on other than the 4 bolts/screws that you removed like a horizontal bottom brace. Didn't see much of a good view of opening once radiator was removed or when new one was installed. Do you have a better view of the radiator opening itself?
@@Foxedup thanks for your response so just to be clear the radiator doesn't sit on a bottom piece within a radiator frame correct? Obviously the 4 bolts must be screwing into something to hold the radiator on. Regards,
@@michaelh1637 it screws onto a frame, but doesn’t sit inside the frame. Once you get those 4 bolts out and get the hoses out of the way, it should want to slide right out. It’s possible theres a lip or something underneath that it rests on, but nothing else you’d need to remove. It’s hard to remember exactly, but I know the video covers everything that needs to be done.

Awesome video and explanation, you just saved me taking off the whole front end of my car. Thank you!
Excellent! Glad it helped!!
Good video, thanks 👍🏻
Thanks!
Very informative. Is the AC condenser not attached to the radiator?
It’s attached to the car right in front of the radiator
Did you have to separate the. A/C. Condenser. Didn,t see that.
I did not (if i understand your question correctly). I tried to include every step, even if I didn’t get it 100% captured on video.
Be nice to actually see you remove /install the radiator.
That’s on my list! Working on the getting the parts now!

It’s just the 4 bolts after you get the fans out of the way and disconnect the two hoses.
