A few weeks ago I did something similar to this to replace my reciever drier and i wish I had found this video then. Im gonna have to do it all over again since my bumper isnt lined up properly and the radiator fan now hits on my engine and makes a very loud noise with the ac on, this video will be very helpful.
A hand of a matchless technician.. you’re special bro I confess.. your video actually supported me replacing the motor fan for my sweet Jetta2010 .. and I finally replaced it.. after a while of suffering☺️.. I appreciate your great efforts to support us with those videos. Thanks
I need a core support replacement and needed to learn how to remove the radiator housing/condensor from it. Thank you so much for this video! Wish it was a little bit more specific because I am still not sure of how to remove the core support from the radiator/condensor.
I want to thank for such a great video I have been working on cars for the last 25 years but don’t do many VW and I wasn’t sure how and found your video and I was able to do it I would like to thank you for sharing a great video
This job can be done without removing the front of the car at least on a right hand drive 2008 Golf GTI. The fans go out the bottom and the radiator comes out the top. The radiator does require a bit of careful manouvering to get it out the top but it is 100% doable.
Thanks! I am replacing the condenser on my 2008 Passat and couldn't find anything on getting to it. While not the same car, it was very close and this was so helpful!
Thanks.. Pro tip- rotate the sensor so you can get the clip without breaking. I find it easier to pull the hose off, you can direct it into a bucket better. Spray & spray you dont dont get soaked otherwise
Could you tell me what hose is on the lower passenger side of the radiator? I’ve already replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses but when my support broke, the fan cut that hose - It appears to be steel lined and no matter how much research I do, I can’t seem to find the information that I need. That’s all that’s holding my car back from being back on the road. Really hoping that you’re able to help
Anyone know the size or part number of the T30 screw that is removed at the 8:47 mark? I somehow managed to lose that screw in the process and it seems pretty critical as it screws into the radiator support mount. Thanks! Great video btw!
No you don’t. Volkswagens automatically do it, but you gotta run it to operating temperature fill it while running then shut the car off let it cool check it again top off if needed and you should be good
No wonder I always have missing/broken pieces when they do work like this on my car! Every single time I go to my mechanic, screws and little broken things under the hood.

If you do this job and don't have a lift put the fans in and bolt them on when you put the radiator support in it's much easier

The hand wave in the bumper cover reflection at 4:46 tho? Priceless 🤣😂🤣😂
Do you need to fully take off bumper to do this? Or does it make it easier
Great job my husband do the job watching you video thank you so much we save a lot of money

I will fix same thing on my mk5. Does the coolant needs to get bleed?
How you remember everything.....wooowww congratulations 🎊
Where you located I need mine done. Great video
Will this work for the golf 2.5 5 cylinder as well?
+Max Novo The installation should be similar for your vehicle.

Does this apply to a 2006 GTI?
Holy crap! No wonder labor cost is crazy on this job.
Thank you TRQ, great presentation.
Do you not need to burp the radiator after disconnecting it all?
No you don’t. Volkswagens automatically do it, but you gotta run it to operating temperature fill it while running then shut the car off let it cool check it again top off if needed and you should be good
Thanks, great video and got job done from watching!!!! Very helpful to say the least.
This is a tdi?
No, this is a 5 cylinder gasoline
Does this work for a 2008 r32?
+@downedyomomma5945 The installation process should be very similar.
Is there a tool list anywhere on this video?
Pretty much t20 torx t30 torx and 16mm socket 😂 Volkswagens are easy that way ❤
