@@doriangray7129 when I got to Harkon the second time I did the quest I decided to put poison on the arrows and do a sneak attack and he just died. Like that was it, I finished the objective the fight was over. I didn't mean to kill him I just didn't want a drawn out battle and just wanted to weaken him enough that he wouldn't move around so much. I wanted the dialog to still happen but he'd be doing that low health animation so that Serana could kill him without me doing anything more. Sheesh I was so disappointed

As for the blood drinking mechanic, I would prefer having the option for the blood drinking to happen automatically when you hover over a persons neck while they sleep as opposed to a button (don't got a mod for that sorry). MageVR would then provide you with some additional immersion improvements like the ability to eat by putting your hand close to your face.

I feel like this is a good thing that creates a moral dilemma in the player about the act of feeding on innocent people, no one said being a vampire is a heroic thing.

Other than vampire the Masquerade, most vampire games barely even care about feeding, n treat it like a second MP bar you need to refill by using the suck attack. Even vampyr, with an entire focus on humanity, only made you underleveled if you refused to drink. Yet feeding during combat was fine, and you could overcome the underleveled problem by farming the infinitely spawning vampire hunters and vampire mobs. Even vampire the Masquerade avoided any morality with feeding, since it was easy to avoid killing when you feed.

In vanilla game vr your hands are always like that and he doesn't make it explicitly clear meaning people will go into this believing one thing, when in reality he just modded it to make it better, but mods have limitations and there very well may be one similar to what he used for vamp lord mode . Really entertaining video, I loved playing as a vampire in normal Skyrim with the sacrosanct mod, I really hope they work in VR as well, because they add so much content(better feeding, enslaving people and turn them into a vampire, more spells/abilities/perks, abilities specific to race, and much more), quests and you can completely customize everything(if or how much damage you take in the sun, if people recognize you as a vampire, etc.)
I think it's supposed to feel wrong. You're a vampire. Bethesda made a lot of mistakes with Skyrim VR, but I don't think this was one of them. I'll give you that the obstructed menu is not ideal though

Having the Higgs, VRIK, and PLANCK mods for skyrim VR on the Nexus help with pretty much all these issues, Im enjoying playing skyrim VR in vampire lord much more than regular skyrim, and i've been playing skyrim since it was released and each DLC as soon as it came out. Having a body in game makes you feel like you are the vampire lord and it's very immersive

I mean, asside from the 'vr made vampirism too real' part, you don't really even need to avoid the sun or feed as a vampire in skyrim, as the negatives for both are barely noticable, especially at higher levels (other than not regenerating stamina, but that's because I never carry those potions) and you actually get stronger the longer you go without feeding. And if you have dawnguard you can run around with stage 4 without the whole 'hated and feared' part
Fun fact: you can use the Vampire Seduction power to enthrall people before interacting with & feeding on them. That power is a pretty good indicator of when you need to feed: when I receive it, I find a rando to eat, then go on my merry way.
They can, but you can't regen health or stamina and that sucks, but I mean if you're not into that he shouldn't play that. There's hundreds of different build he can choose and complaining because he doesn't like the mechanics of ONE build is so petty and ignorant in my opinion. I just restarted to an earlier save because honestly I was tired of being feared and had chose the whole vamp route and sure enough it was gritty and dark and just not really for me. But for those who LOVE that kind of stuff, they gonna have a freaking BLAST
Better Vampires mod and craft able blood potions mod. Makes being a vampire better than vanilla vampire AND if you wear a hood or helmet, the sun doesn't hurt you :)
I only use enhanced lighting mods to make the nights darker when I know I won’t be playing a vampire. It makes sense that the nights would be brighter for a nocturnal hunter, and stumbling around bumping my head off signposts doesn’t make me feel that way

Vampires can definitely walk in sunlight in skyrim.
They can, but you can't regen health or stamina and that sucks, but I mean if you're not into that he shouldn't play that. There's hundreds of different build he can choose and complaining because he doesn't like the mechanics of ONE build is so petty and ignorant in my opinion. I just restarted to an earlier save because honestly I was tired of being feared and had chose the whole vamp route and sure enough it was gritty and dark and just not really for me. But for those who LOVE that kind of stuff, they gonna have a freaking BLAST

Better Vampires mod and craft able blood potions mod. Makes being a vampire better than vanilla vampire AND if you wear a hood or helmet, the sun doesn't hurt you :)

I only use enhanced lighting mods to make the nights darker when I know I won’t be playing a vampire. It makes sense that the nights would be brighter for a nocturnal hunter, and stumbling around bumping my head off signposts doesn’t make me feel that way
So skyrim vr is just like regular skyrim, need mods to enjoy them :P
