Hey John, same Story here. You made a great job at my Sv1000 I think in 2013 or 14. Shame on me I sold the bike in 2015 - and now need to get a new one. So, are you still doing your mod for the old baskets? Appreciate to hear from you, Martin from Germany
Hello bud, is the basket still the same as the old 1000 strom? I had a basket done by you a few years back, thankfully I still have the clutch basket, just wondering if I can fit it in the new strom? if and when I get one
All years of VStrom clutch baskets interchange without any issues. They are the same basic dimensions and spring rates. Suzuki have ever so slightly strengthened the parts they are made with over the years. The later the year and mileage then theoretically they will a better basis for modification. Try to avoid putting an 02 dated basket in a later engine though. The gear was narrower on these so less width of primary gear tooth to carry the load. Can only imagine they knew or suspected something when they did that.
